Nice pull. I opened a 2 dollar pack of 2018 update from target and got a 5/5 legends in the making Gleyber Torres auto. My favorite player and the player of my personal collection!!!Love the vids!!!
Wow!! That gold trout!!! Even though I knew you were going to pull a gold trout because of the pictures on the thumbnail I was still pretty excited to see it come out of the pack! Such a beautiful card!!!!

I absolutely LOVE all the packs from the World's Greatest Card Chase. All of that stuff was from when I started, and I still can't get enough of that era. So much fun. I can't believe I can still name the years of all of them just by seeing the packs. And not just with the years printed on them.

update trout last year and I got them both for right around $600 total! Now you’d be lucky to get a 9.5 Trout for $600! The guy that sold them to me is very upset that he gave me such a good deal

Even with the Trout Gold hit I still don't see how the packs sell for so much. Buy the cards you want individually and it would probably be cheaper. I guess the fun factor plays into it a little.
You can also get the rookie cards of Altuve, JD Martinez and other decent players in the set; but yeah it's the fun factor that's SOOO expensive.

Add up the estimated value of this box and would it equal what the box cost? Yes, but ONLY with that Gold Trout. Without it its a major loss.

Don’t believe the hype there are hundreds if not thousands of that same card floating around. It was all hyped to try to get sports card collecting back in like the 1970!s. And 1980’s.

awesome Trout gold!! Literally better than gold right now. That card should be 5-6k in gem mint in the next few years. Definitely one the best trout cards to have in my opinion. Iconic card already, gold makes it rare as hell. Sick pull!!!

Gold cards numbering up to 2011 is still a lot of cards. Makes you wonder how many regular cards are produced? Seems like baseball cards are starting to be overproduced again like back in the 90s.
Not even close. The late 80’s and early 90’s were multiple millions of printed cards. Nowadays they are around hundreds of thousands at most. It’s pretty easy to get an idea of how many by looking at the population reports from the grading companies

I can see why people would spend so much on the 2011 update packs/boxes, though moreso if they're looking to get the cards graded. So many awesome rookies to be had.
On a side note of the earlier part, those prospect cards of the mid 2000s (up til '10 Obak) is the best thing Tristar ever did. It's the only reason I have a Kershaw rookie ('08 Projections) and Trout cards ('09 Prospects Plus if I recall, don't recall the exact name offhand, but two solos and one with another player)

@@drej1015 I looked further and yes it was listed as a "reprint" which I really don't know much about... Basically someone goes and prints there own and sales them as a reprint? It's not like a reprint of a comic which is produced by the actual company I take it... Lol thank you for the reply

Why didn't you pull these packs in a define order? The packs have an assigned order . That you absolutely ignored. People pay you patreon and this is how you operate? Thomas that 1st Trout should of been yours. I sure hope you still don't give Jabs a $100 a month anymore.
What do you care? There’s no mandatory official federal laws stating what order packs should be pulled during a break. It’s random and that card could easily have been in a different pack. People like you are why the hobby sucks nowadays.

The Michael Jordan "secret suspension" rumor is just that, a rumor. It has never been confirmed that I know of and I first heard of it in the early nineties.
