Really appreciate this video and quite well done! One of your best to date I think. I enjoyed the depth of some of Filipino culture and its effects on family and relationships. Nothing wrong with a girl who says it is up to you, it is approperiate female nature as it is the man's job to lead and take charge! Go eat where you want and if she has a preference, then give her the option to speak it but otherwise, go where you want. I've never understood how that is so complcated for men to understand. Good work guys. Going to be tough to keep up this level of content.

The 'I'm gonna make this work, no matter what' isn't being manipulated. Those were the rules YOU chose. For whatever reason. This goes on all around the world. Sometimes the gal, sometimes the guy. Probably the most important thing in ANY new relationship is honesty. And that is normally the last thing that happens. Only to find out later that you two aren't compatible. Why? Wasted time. Wasted energy. We all put our best foot forward in the beginning. But keep it honest. If you hate when she... Or I can't stand it when he.... These are the important conversations that need to happen from the beginning. He might not even think about where his socks end up. Drives her nuts. Instead of a conversation, it waits to boil over. When if she just said'put your dang socks HERE'. Problem solved. He didn't even know it was a problem until it's too late. He can't stand when you hang your bra in the shower. But he says nothing, untill.... These little things could have been avoided by being honest upfront.

The water at Laguna beach in southern California is so clean and clear you can see far in the water same as ph ,fyi also it has great waves and so does San Clemente. But of course our water is colder . The water is warmer there in the ph of course but people throw so much trash.

Main difference between Filipino (traditional Asian culture) versus modern Western culture:
    - the rights of the individual surpasses the rights of the collective (Western)
    - the rights of the collective surpasses the right of the individual (Asia)
Another wisdom of truth is that you will not get to know someone untill for an extended time period:
    - you have lived with that person
    - you have worked with that person
    - you have travelled with that person

How do I say this without sounding like a misogynist red pill guy? This is one of the few women who is actually worth listening to, most of them don't know their foot from a hole in the ground. Asking a woman what she wants or her opinion is normally completely wasting time, usually they are very confused about everything, their opinions are mostly just parroting what they have heard from the man.

    • @WatchCaliforniaExpat
      @WatchCaliforniaExpat  Місяць тому +2

I don't think it's misogynist, most women and men are the same in that regard. Madie is always great to talk to and a thoughtful person.

Being in a relationship with someone from another country often means dealing with cultural comparisons and stereotypical discussions every day. Phrases like "We don't do this back home" or "What's that weird smelly thing you're eating?" can become incredibly irritating and contentious, making it feel like everything about your society is wrong, unlike theirs, and be sorry or defensive about it.

    • @liamstone3437

Mature people with exposure to different cultures would never say those things. I see that as a sign someone lacks sophistication.

I agree. Most Westerners are exposed to different cultures, free from negative stereotypical judgments, and love Muslims. They even enjoy eating sweet spaghetti and dried fish, a Filipino staple. Even Koreans have great respect for Southeast Asians. They are all mature and very sophisticated, like you.

    Loved the interview.
She said she was manipulated & you asked her how. She then proceeded to say because she was independent & told herself to do whatever he wanted? So the guy manipulated her by her own decisions? Surprised you guys did not pull her up on that & let her get away with it. Just shows it doesn’t matter if Filipina or western women, these dangerous & overused words are still used by them. Please try & call out this type of language when it occurs.
    Cheers lads!
