Hey there i just received my very first BETAFPV Meteor85 Frsky whoop quad and i purchased the Betafpv LiteRadio SE Controller as well so thanks for this video which really simplifies the binding process..Thanks again mate!!
What i just found out is if you go into Betafpv Configurator and press the controller model and in my case its cc2500 and click on the yellow button to connect with controller. Once there at the top left corner you'll see the Protocol your transmitter is in so mine was in Frsky D8 and i changed it to Frsky D16..Here you can make sure your sticks are responding correctly by viewing the channels Thro,Yaw,Pitch and role. The Betafpv configurator is very helpful, just don't change anything unless your certain..
Hi. Can ask of this se version can bind to the geprc tinygo wich is also futaba protocol, it all gets a little confusing with what can and can't. Watching your videos on this product has helped me soooo much thanks
Hi I'm trying to bind a betafpv lite radio 2 to an emax tinyhawk 2 and I can't seem to get it. I followed the instructions multiple times, recalibrated, etc. After I do the vine procedure it just goes back to blinking the red light with the constant blue light and if I push the right shoulder switch down it will beep several times. That's all I can get out of it. Any ideas? Both pieces are brand new from Amazon.
I have this betaFPV SE, version, when I had to bind it up again to my Hawk Pro I thought you needed to push the setup button an power button to change the protocol an then to bind it back up an when I started flying my Hawk Pro it was in angle mode but it was acting like it was in Acro an not very stable what do I do to get it back to normal? I just tired calibrating the sticks to see if it helps, any ideas on what I need to do?
Hi mate. Just a quick question... I am unable to get this controller to work with my PC. The controller has been working absolutely fine to the Cetus Tinywhoop, but I am now trying to connect it to the PC to use the sims... My PC recognises the device, and I am able to see it under my "Device Manager", and also in my Hardware and Sound settings... The computer says that the controller is "OK" ... But for some reason, the Orqa fpv.skylite is not recognising it? When I click "Calbirate", it does nothing... How do I set this up with my PC? Thank you in advanced!

Hi DatFpv i have an issue where my Meteor85 will not arm..The controller protocol is set at D16 with one flash..I also checked the quad in Betafpv configurator and all switches are active and it says D16 receiver..I binded the quad with the controller and i get a slow green light on the FC .So the protocol is correct and the quad is on d16 but it just won't arm..In Betaflight on the receiver tab i do not see the rcvr channels Thro,yaw etc does not move upon moving the arm switch..I don't know what im doing wrong can you help me?
i got the betafpv literadio 3 but the problem was throttle was on right side and seller can't change. is it possible to change the throttle side from right to left?
yes the switches are already in place, you may want to change their positions though, and you might need to sort your sticks out, ua-cam.com/video/7ZUe-sC7mmU/v-deo.html but its all there in place

I'm a nube and I have this coming... obviously this does not have a screen on it, so how do you configure what the controls are going to do on your drone you bind it to?
the controller switches and suff are already pre-set, you change them in betaflight, you should be using betaflight to configure how your quad flies, and also set your rates and control switches.
Do you know if the gimbals for the SE version will fit in the original LiteRadio 2? All the replacement gimbals I can find say they're for the SE version and the 3rd version.
I just had a LiteRadio 2 SE and 65s Lite arrive as my 1st drone and intro to FPV. I can't get teh transmitter to cycle through the modes or bind with drone... I can set it up and use it as a controller on the DRL sim...
The lite radio SE has 2 versions, frsky and bayang, the 65s lite is bayang protocol if you bought them as a set then you should be able to bind them, if you bought them separately then you may have wrong version of radio for that drone. I have just done it myself so I know. Luckily the 65s can take an external receiver so I ordered a cheap frsky XM plus receiver.
If your radio is bayang then you will not be able to cycle through the modes because there is only one mode, the bayang protocol. Either the radio or the drone may be faulty if you cannot bind the two.
Just bought it for my simulator. but the problem is, it doesnt work on my android phone using freerider sim. And i also tried other simulators but unfortunately cant recognize my controller. Is this BETAFPV literadio 2 SE really works on android phone? . TIA

Hello again! I just received my Tyro 79 & Eachines Lite Radio package today (25th Oct. 2021), plugged a battery and flew it around. Then i decided to bind the drone to my Jumper T-Lite JP4N1 controller and flew it around too. Now when i tried it back using the Eachines Lite Radio controller that came with the drone, it doesn't work anymore. Somehow, it got unbinded to the drone. Can you please help me bind them back together, the Tyro79 drone to the Eachines Lite Radio controller? My Lite Radio is flashing red 2x when i turn it on (i guess it's on D16 mode). Also my controller is colored white with a built-in battery and has the Eachine brand on it instead of the BetaFPV one.
you can't have 2 controllers bound to one quad, the process should be similar to the jumper that you did... press the button on the receiver in the quad and bind the controller.

my controller won't beep during setup so I can't get it to calibrate. My controller currently has unpredictable lower throw of the throttle and was hoping this might fix it as I have only used my Adv Kit 2 3-4 times and am out of warranty. Thanks

no mate - bayang is a type of reciever anf frsky is a type of reciever, they are made by 2 seperate compnies. you need a quad with a frsky reciever in it if you have the frsky controller.

Hi - the se radio covers all of these, but depends what part of the world you fly in, thats what the code are about, LBT europe, FCC rest of the world. But that said the radio covers all of these, go for a FRSKY version.

I cant bid it with meteor 75 little, I put in d8 mode and hit bind buton later but no way , in my previous little radio2 , they bind automatically once was in d8 mode , is something else I need to do ?
no that doesn't matter, I have heard that some se versions need a firmware update and gthey should work fine (also make sure you do have it in d8 mode.
How are we supposed to know what the switched on this are supposed to do? Is there anyway of changing them? just bought this remote and and using it on a simulator, thats as far as ive gotten with this so far.
Hey - this is a basic controller, and the switches come pre-set, you can however change them in Betaflight - all my controller videos show how to do this and it is no different for this one, the process is really the same for all.
@@Datfpv ill have to check out beta flight then, never used it before. You said the switches are preset? The problem is, nowhere in the manual does it say what the switches actually do, like, is one of them an arming or kill switch? I'm guessing one of the 3 channel is a "mode" switch?

ok so the controller need to be in D8 mode - 3 red flashes as my video shows you. make sure the quad is in bind mode, it maybe straight away... if all fails you might need to update the firmware on the controller, there was a issue with the firmware at some point...
watching a few videos on this radio, no one mentions the switches, its like they don't exist. I'm using mission planner really need the switches, stupid config software not working? >
as this is a starter controller, the switches come pre-programmed in, you have to bind to a quad, then use betaflight - and the modes tab shows you the switches / what you can do and add in place.
@@Datfpv I'm using ardupilot / mission planner, not betaflight. If I know what the switches are pre set to perhaps I can set them in Mission planner (right now I selected RC6 and RC7 in MP) , If they are already picked why doesn't it tell you somewhere what to set my ARM switch to on the software , kinda crappy design I think. @@Datfpv I have betaflight, just tried to connect the remote only (not working) this drone I have uses a PX4 FC with Orange Cube on it, this FC won't connect to Betaflight as far as I can tell? therefore can't use betaflight, will probably just us my TX16S radio instead, was try to setup the BetaFpv thing with little success

I did hear that some of the controllers did need a firmware update - thats worth a try
@@Datfpv I know now that they only bind to the old xm+ receivers. You have to downgrade to a previous firmware version on the new xm +.

hey, I have heard that you might need to update the firmware on some of these se versions for the d8 mode to work.
is there a hard reset on these controllers? while charging a red light is on, but when off of charger, wont power on. thoughts?

ok so the controller need to be in D8 mode - 3 red flashes as my video shows you. make sure the quad is in bind mode, it maybe straight away... if all fails you might need to update the firmware on the controller, there was a issue with the firmware at some point...

cool - for the firmware you'll have to read the manual betafpv website - I haven't done it myself.

if the eachine has a 'frsky' receiver in it then yes?

watching a few videos on this radio, no one mentions the switches, its like they don't exist. I'm using mission planner really need the switches, stupid config software not working? >
as this is a starter controller, the switches come pre-programmed in, you have to bind to a quad, then use betaflight - and the modes tab shows you the switches / what you can do and add in place.
@@Datfpv I'm using ardupilot / mission planner, not betaflight. If I know what the switches are pre set to perhaps I can set them in Mission planner (right now I selected RC6 and RC7 in MP) , If they are already picked why doesn't it tell you somewhere what to set my ARM switch to on the software , kinda crappy design I think. you should be able to see what they are in the betafpv config program though - and also if you download the free betaflight program as well.
@@Datfpv I have betaflight, just tried to connect the remote only (not working) this drone I have uses a PX4 FC with Orange Cube on it, this FC won't connect to Betaflight as far as I can tell? therefore can't use betaflight, will probably just us my TX16S radio instead, was try to setup the BetaFpv thing with little success
