    *Packaging was awesome. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend Tube is tough and kept the rod very safe. Rods gorgeous! Can’t wait to use it this spring.*

      Glad it may help you. I have seen where some will to the wraps, then un-wrap about 6 turns and apply a little glue along one side. Then re-wrap and pull the pigtail under the glue. Good luck.

    Tom, This is the best explanation for paracord wrap I've seen. Well done.

    I had no intention of wrapping a fishing rod with paracord. But I'm so glad I found your video. You're an excellent teacher. Great video I enjoyed the watch.

    Good job Tom!! I like it. I have three rods that I need to do that are the same style as yours, catfish and poles I was going to use baseball bat tape but now that I seen your video I think I’m gonna use Paracord. I’m glad I came across your video. Thank you and God bless.🙏🫶🏼👍🎣🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈

      That has been a while back but I am sure it was a 7 strand paracord. Same size an military paracord.

    can you put a wrapping finish over it like Gen-4 Low Build to totally finish the cord? Mud Hole has some cord i'm thinking about using

    This is a great tutorial for those looking to wrap there handles , I did mine on a black widow carbon fiber cane pole because it was just a smooth finish and wanted grips on it when your hands are wet and slippery, I also did some decorative thread wraps in gold foil and red thread covered them up with clear hard as nails nail polish it looks great , thanks for posting Tom .👍🏼

    double wrapping is a WASTE of Paracord. Better to use some other filler and 1 layer of Paracord.

    Thank you so much; I do my own repair on guides on rods and also complete guide sets top to bottom. The method you demonstrated with the cord is the same rod builders use when using winding thread. I have several rods that need some cork rings and have wondered how to repair them without the cost of today's cork rings, and still make them look attractive. You have just given me the greatest idea. Now I can use the right color cord to match my rod.
    Thanks so much.

      Tom Waskom I’ve done one rod like this I’m about to do another one I’ve been using 80lb lb braid to pull it through but it kills my hand to pull that braid lol what is another way I could pull it thorough because I can’t come up with anything

    To pull the paracord thru at the end I find it works better to use monofilament fishing line

    • @tomw3380
      @tomw3380  6 років тому +1

      Race that is a way to pull the pigtail under the prior wraps to lock it down. I have used that method but decided to try the homemade wire tool with handle to get a better grip on it. A handle could also be used with the heavy mono line. Thanks for the response. The more experience added here the better. Thanks
