Great work John never used a carbon fiber handle but may give it a try on a salmon rod that I'm building for my father. I don't know if you can report these other posted comments but if not just know that it's happening everywhere. Thanks for your time John
What kind of wait savings is there with this type of handle. Any experience with the handle breaking under high stress situations such as trolling for large fish such as tuna?
I use them on all of my trolling rods for salmon, but would not use it for tuna. I would stick with aluminum, nylon, foam or cork for tuna, depending on what kind of rod you are building. Hope this helps.
Ern, thank you for watching and for asking your question. The handle is made to fit a size 16 or 17 casting seat, but I cut it off to fit a size 20 reel seat. Hope this helps.
Excited to try this grip material out it looks very light and sensitive
It is and I think you will like it.
I sure would have liked to see how you reamed out that handle ! Tight lines
Noted and thank you for the feedback. If it helps, I used a reamer with a power drill.
Thanks for the helpful insight. Most videos have either cork or foam handle videos. 👍
You are very welcome, and thank you for watching and commenting.

Great video, keep up the good work.
Thank you and always appreciate your continued support.
Try the fine tip silver pen it works great and you can clean with alcohol if you use for thread wrap points.
Thanks for sharing Joseph.

Do you use perma gloss over the raw carbon?
