  • This is a 12 pack beer tote inspired by Jimmy DiResta. There are many 6-pack beer totes out there, but this one is a 12 pack. Made form Quarter Sawn white oak with a Padauk handle. CNC was used for the tote end panels. Sides are joined with through dovetails.
The tote is not for commercial use and the logos were used without permission from the respective beer companies.

just a tip on painting the logos...spray a little clear laquer over the logo and the paint wont sink into the wood and its much easier to sand the over spray off.

would you consider providing the ends, for materials and time? The choice of Blue Moon and Guinness is amazing. My two favorite beers (at least Stateside).

I quite liked the groove outline of the sides, wish you left it incorporated and cut and inch around it, otherwise perfect

Very impressive! After you spray painted the logos, rather than sanding; could you have put it back on the ShopBot and taken 1/32" off the top rather than all that sanding? Hey, it worked either way, just might save a little time off the sanding. Just a thought, but that's really friggin sweet. Especially with the MOUNTED bottle opener. Lovely, have yourself a few cheers and kick back and admire that thing, would ya?

Probably but it would be very difficult to hold the work piece down.

Really nice! Is 'shopbot' a brand, or the name of the machine? If the name of the machine what model is this one? Just trying to figure out if I can afford one... Are there any comparable tools that would attain a similar result? Thanks- Really beautiful !

Great job! I am curious why you didn't do your joinery with the Shopbot also?

SugarcreekForge I really wanted thru dovetails, and there’s no way that I know of at least at the time to do dovetails on the shop bot. The pin members being the issue

@@aviatorbja Aha. Ok, that makes total sense to me now. I have only done straight joints on my Shopbot.

I love these beer caddies, especially since you did them with a cnc. Would you be willing to make theUr files available?

You should not use rip fence and miter gage at the same time, unless you want material kicked back in you face.

DentargPL yea, that rule only applies to through cuts. It's ok to do it when notching material.
