Thanks for this video! I definitely missed this when I went through the manual. I’m always opening the driver’s door without the key fob and my wife is pulling on the passenger door handle before I can get her door unlocked. This is a perfect solution.

Also , has your Tacoma ever had a horn problem; my trucks horn will sound off 3x rapidly everyday usually after I get off work about 5-10 minutes after leaving the job site?
I think I need to update my computer but I’m about to lose my shit as I’m driving down the road and periodically hopping out, going around to passenger side, being denied, going back to driver side to unlock, before going back to passenger side. I just want it to unlock when I step out of my still running vehicle.

@@grewsgarage yes it just simply doesn’t exist as a setting anymore I have a 21 Tacoma perhaps a software update removed it. It’s a shame I need to be able to prevent kids from opening the passenger door while parked or in motion and to be able to open from the outside …
@@Ren.7.62 does it have a manual lock that you can turn on the inside of the rear door? I haven’t looked yet, if it does it would be on the inside near the latch on the door.

No I haven’t had that issue. That’s weird, I honestly don’t know what would cause that.

This setting no longer shows up in my Tacoma. I really need the ability to lock my rear passenger doors at all times except from the outside.
