It’s called “sin city “ for a reason ! Morally and spiritually corrupt, decadent and bankrupt. See what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah , get out while you can
The odds of Canadians visiting Las Vegas is not good. We have to isolate for 2 weeks in order to return to Canada. Until the borders open, and that isn't going to be anytime soon, majority of Canadians will not be visiting anywhere
@@allengarczynski7515 nope, it's more than that as well as the shipping materials, shipping itself and hand made work to create them. They aren't made in China they are made at my house by my incredibly talented wife
@Brian Waller yup well known for a rowdy and not no savory crowd following, that and people who normally would flock to vegas for a vacation aren't coming, so you are seeing a totally different crowd now.
I've been going to Vegas for the past 10+ years and it has dramatically changed.....Dudes, are rolling deep and NOT gambling....strategically posting near the ticket redemption machines and entrances/exits.... young people are renting all the motorized scooters reserved for elderly/handicapped people....my hotel hallway had a line of them charging in the hallway all night long.....keep your head in a swivel and be mindful of your surroundings.......
My house is two blocks off the strip and I'm on the strip quite often to eat or go to the casino but for now I will not set foot on Las Vegas Blvd. The low hotel prices have attracted a low class ghetto element that has changed the entire Las Vegas atmosphere. If you are thinking of a Las Vegas getaway please think again, wait until the virus passes and everything gets back to normal.
I stayed at the Bellagio last month I never seen a bunch of ghetto people I paid to stay at a luxury hotel for a reason glad to see ghetto people they made me feel so uncomfortable
@Lavita Williams Wrong, I will be missed. I'm exactly the type of tourist Vegas needs right now. The kind that spends money. Vegas knows it can't survive on the scooter crowd.
When it gets back to regular pricing. It's to cheap right now. I saw Monday thru Thursday flight and hotel $125 on the strip. Make it more expensive so the Undesirables can't afford it. Then it will be safe.
It's not limited to Vegas. This sort of behavior is happening in nearly every major city. The pandemic, politics, racism, etc. have driven people completely mad. I should know, I'm watching riots in Louisville tonight.
So, how many inmates were released worldwide during the pandemic? THOUSANDS! They are out on the streets everywhere round the world. They will make their presence known.
The lawlessness taking place in other areas of the country that is seemingly being allowed to happen without repercussions is giving the under 30 crowd a boldness that they are untouchable. Bad behavior not addressed always escalates until stopped. The are politicians who seemingly don’t want to address violence for their own twisted reasons.
I’m sad to say that it’s not just a few bad people causing trouble on the Strip right now. I had to go to Fashion Show Mall for something the other day and felt unsafe walking around there during the daytime. The energy is not good and I’m glad people are acknowledging this shift.
Yes I was there a few weekends ago and yes didn't feel comfortable, but kept my vigil watch. Everyone kept to themselves, but having a tall and bigger husband helps.
Wow. That is crazy and sad. Like 20 years ago I use to go to Vegas twice a year from Iowa. Always went to fashion mall could not wait to go. I shopped instead if gambling.
I was just there last weekend, Vegas had a weird vibe, but I didn't feel unsafe. I stayed at the Venetian and was all over the strip. One thing I HATED was the able bodied, young people all on 4 wheel scooters usually reserved for the elderly and injured. The were in packs on the sidewalk. They were in the casinos & they tie up the elevators on the Strip Crosswalks. I still had fun & will be back .... wish we could stop the use of these devices for people who are just LAZY , stay safe !
For people with disabilities, scooters and wheelchairs are a Godsend. I rented one for my Dad when we visited Vegas. He had severe emphysema, could only walk short distances without labored breathing and had to carry an oxygen bottle on a backpack to boot. When he saw the scooter, he balked at first then realized how great it was in that we could see more of Vegas together before he passed. That being said, I just don't understand how anyone should be able to use/rent one out of pure convenience instead of necessity, especially with alcohol involved. Sad.
I was at White Castle by Harrahs a couple weeks ago with a friend and there was several groups of people trying to find excuses to start fights and being very aggressive but in addition to that, there was a homeless shirtless man who came in and started to harass me and screaming and then began to harass a older couple also in line and the whole time my friend and I were feeling very unsafe and just wanted to get our food and leave the strip. It felt very unsafe and the security inside Harrahs said it wasn’t his job to do anything because White Castle (which is accessible from the casino) isn’t there problem. Several people in front of us in line left because they felt very unsafe. For me the part that was eerie was the lack of concern among any staff I saw (cocktail waitresses, machine attendants etc). I along with several of my friends totally hated the vibe, felt unsafe and aren’t coming back. Not the crowd it once was at least right now
Well Las Vegas wanted the OAKLAND RAIDERS HERE YOU GO. Not only do you get the Raiders but you get their GHETTOTHUG FANS . Have any you ever been to Oakland?? Well don't worry about it now because looks like Oakland has come to you. Getting an NFL TEAM WAS A HUGE MISTAKE FOR VEGAS ..Nothing good comes from California now of days.
It’s funny you say that MrGrownman...I live in the Bay Area and have been to plenty of 49er and Raiders games...seen way more fights at 49er games! Most people that actually live in Oakland can’t afford to go to Raiders games. I’m sorry that you have a very unfortunate view of “ghetto” fans. I was in LV at the beginning of August and the crowds there was horrible and I can assure you it had nothing to do with football.
wirebeam why dont YOU state the elephant in the room. Just say you dont like black people you too scared to even say it online and thats the problem. Who tf are yall scared of and why. Are you scared of someone different than yourself?????? Weird...that your even worried....
What do you expect when you can stay at a five star hotel for $50.00 a night? They have even cut out the resort fees to try and get people back. There was a recent blogger who saw people checking in with no luggage but a laundry basket full of clothes and trash bags as their suit cases. That was at the Bellagio.....It is obvious!
I’m glad I experienced Las Vegas 3 times prior to this pandemic. I had a wonderful time, the people were very friendly, and never had a issue with any crime. Since Vegas reopened I heard some bad things, you can’t have four star hotels for the same price as a motel 6, you’re going to attract the riff raff of society.
I'm honestly really disappointed in my Vegas experience recently. I went in August and September as a fully comped MGM player just looking to get away from the grind in LA. I've never seen so many fights and ridiculous things going on at some of the nicer properties. I usually go to Vegas in January for my Birthday but I'm seriously considering going somewhere else until Vegas calms down.
@JaclkPluto-bm7cm this was 2+ years ago when they were giving rooms away for cheap and people were going out there on unemployment covid money and being trashy
Was in Vegas this past weekend live out of state not California and it was the first time in 30 years that I felt unsafe in Las Vegas. I will not be going back until I see the old Vegas not sure if that’s ever going to happen though. The vibe on the street was angry, so sad. Donna
I am a Vegas resident. I used to frequent the Strip and Fremont area on a regular basis, but no more. At least for the foreseeable future. There is absolutely no doubt that the average visitor has changed pre vs. post COVID. Not sure what to attribute it to, but the cheap flights, cheap rooms, and free parking likely don’t help. I definitely don’t feel comfortable in the Linq Promenade and the retail area in front of Bally’s. And, what’s with all the idiots riding around on scooters running in to pedestrians?! Guess I’ll need to be satisfied with Santa Fe/Red Rock/GVR for now. Not the same vibe, but at least I feel safe.
I grew up 180 miles from Vegas and always went a few times a year especially New Years and 4th of July. The strip was always safe but beyond that was known to be troubled. I went to Vegas in 2006 for the 4th and didn’t go back until 2017 and my God it changed...so many thuggish types and drug dealers everywhere all over the strip. Unfortunately it’s becoming like this everywhere in the US.
Vegas used to have a reputation that made people really think before doing something stupid. But it seems now like leadership everywhere is the extreme opposite when it comes to criminals.
The strip is over run with unsavory pimp types at night. It’s a shit hole at night. Way less safe than it was even 5 years ago. I walked the strip all the time. Best decision I ever made was to leave.
Exactly me and my buddy got into a fight just last weekend at the strip 5 against us gang banger low-life dudes sucker punch me I took down two dudes and the rest of them just took off bunch of punks if you go there have both eyes behind your back it's really ghetto now that's what happens when you release all the criminals out in jail
@DA BEARS the atmosphere has changed looks like a third world country lots of ghetto people walking down the strip all I'm saying if you go there make sure you have a couple dudes with you and watch your back and defend yourself if you have to but I'm not worried I know how to defend myself I'll be using mixed martial arts for a couple years
@thegaygaymerchannel I think some of the issues has to do with inflation. It's never talked about how much the cost of living has increased rapidly over the last 15 years. In some cities such as NYC, LA, Portland, Denver, and Seattle, it's impossible to live in those places if you are not well to do. On top of that peoples personal problems are not being addressed.
I have been to the Vegas 10-15 times and until 2013 felt safe on the strip and Fremont st. In 2013, I'm niece came for the first time. As we were walking on the strip gang people were walking behind us trying to start something with the pedestrians. And they did when they crossed the strip and tried to get a rise out of a car driver. They did. No cop in sight. My niece said she was done with Vegas and hasn't been back. Vegas better clean it up or there will not be a Vegas.
I've noticed a lack of respect for others ever since I moved to Las Vegas. There's a lot of aggression and selfishness. I've seen more drivers run red lights in one week here than I've seen in one year in the San Francisco Bay Area. Be careful out there.
The dangerous thing about Las Vegas is that most of the city's worst neighborhoods are adjacent to the tourist areas: The Strip & Downtown. But if you stay on Las Vegas Boulevard (Strip) or Fremont Street (Downtown) and don't venture off, you should be fine. Anytime you feel the need to leave these two areas: drive, rideshare, or rent a car. You can also take The Deuce city bus but be careful getting off north of The Wynn especially at night. PS: If you see a place called Siegel Suites, you are in a bad area and should leave ASAP.
Yet they shit down family friendly jugglers and magicians on the strip, but naked girls are free to work, when big buisness removes artists from its street culture criminals move in.
“Locusts not being held accountable” - Sounds like what happened to the White House four years ago. Crime has skyrocketed across the country since Trump took office. His administration is so divisive - not saying others aren’t responsible also - but the problem starts at the top. If he had handled the virus better, I’d be back at the blackjack tables by now. But not getting on a plane going anywhere any time soon - including Vegas.
zeebags you sound more like a soy boy pushing narrative than a seasoned gambler, gambling takes balls, seems you’re afraid of sitting in a luxury casino cause if some random acts of violence outside? Which are obviously Trumps fault? Gambling involves risks and smarts to analyze them correctly, I’d ante up with you anytime. If you weren’t too scared to leave the house smh
@@simontravelstheworld lol I drink, have gotten drunk in my past...never once gotten angry or violent/fought someone/etc. Weed doesn't always make people chill. And I agree with The Noid...the smell of pot is gross. I'll pass.
I live in a small town of 4,000 and I can feel the tension when I'm in public places. We are living in times of high tension. The economy is failing, the political wars are affecting all aspects of society, especially the pandemic, and the benign climate is collapsing. If small town America is boiling , the cities are bound to be boiling over.
@@ekraszewski I never mentioned the Republican party or Trump. The fact is this crisis, except for the pandemic, started a long time ago and Trump is just small potatoes - a loudmouth tv personality who is having his 15 minutes of fame.
@@AndrashSpooshkash I didn’t bring him into it either. It was my previous poster who is so brainwashed that he thinks anything bad that happens is Trump’s fault and the Democrats are culpable for nothing.
I am currently in Vegas for a week. It has changed greatly since I was here 6 years ago. If u smoke pot u will love it. The smell was so over whelming on Saturday and Sunday it would knock u out. It’s ok to smoke pot here now in the open. The hotel rates are so cheap right now there is more of a young newsworthy crowd here now. (Get my drift). The Cosmopolitan has it going on. Upscale crowd, nice atmosphere, cocktail waitresses kept the drinks flowing. Odds on many machines are worse than before. Can not find a 9/6 video poker JorB anywhere on the strip. Not if betting $10 or higher. Casinos are using there own security. Cops are non existent. The few we seen hid in alley ways not on the streets. Saw homeless in handcuffs 3 times by casino security. Seem like one homeless for about every 25 people on the strip. That’s a lot. Vegas does nothing about them. There are urine stains in the stair wells and the homeless here are really strung out. Puke and broken glass everywhere. We were stalked a few times and would have to stop to let them pass. They have absolutely got to walk right next to u acting like strung out 🥜 jobs. Not cool in a Covid environment. Many of the escalators and elevators are not working. Casino Royale kept the drinks flowing. Homeless kept sneaking in. Security were On them fairly quickly. All buffets are down except Wicked Spoon. Social distancing was practiced. Need to make online reservations but u may be able to walk-in on the weekdays. We pay $800 a year for our timeshare week. My timeshare is currently going for $35 a night on Expedia. I’m sure when they are selling them to people for $12K plus they are saying “ u can sell it to someone at anytime.” Well not if they are under cutting u on Expedia for $35 a night. Very few older 65 crowd. Most museums and shows are closed. I would wait until the economy improves to come to Vegas and they really need to clean up the streets on the strip.
My high school classmate drove a bus out there in the early 80s. She was robbed of $30 and murdered walking to her car. Vegas has always had it's elements.
I'm a frequent visitor to Las Vegas and there are definitely parts of it I wouldnt walk around after a certain time of night. Other places I wouldnt walk around any time of day.
pmc “naked city” behind the stratosphere is one such place along the blvd. But as it is said, if you don’t have any business being there then don’t be there.. There are plenty of bad spots in any city..
I have spent a lot of time in Vegas and there has always been a seedy underbelly. However, I always felt safe on the strip and at the higher end casinos. Now I do not feel safe. I canceled my October trip. I am waiting to see what happens after the election.
@Austin2015 - This whole violence thing has been blown way out of proportion! I was just in Vegas in late August and for Labor Day weekend, and I did not see any violence or anything different compared to my previous visits. I live 3.5 hours away in Southern California, and I visit Vegas once a month, and I haven't noticed anything different except fewer tourists and lots of face masks.
@@kevinp8108 I have seen videos from LV news from the strip plus other stories from Wynn, Venetian, etc. Now Bellagio and Paris. Not out of proportion. Not normal for tourist to be shot or stabbed or jumped by a gang on the strip in these types of numbers of crimes.
I've been to Vegas around 40 times in my life and only felt unsafe once and it was last fall. It was getting dark and we were walking from the Sahara to the Stratosphere and there were a lot of gang type individuals hanging out. Took a uber after to get back to the Paris, a little safer.
When I went there in August (alone/female) there was definitely a different demographic. I was a little scared walking from Palazzo to Wynn during the day it was a tad crazy but other parts of the strip I felt safe. But yes if you are going definitely be aware of your surroundings and don’t go off the beaten path
I totally agree. Just there last weekend and totally different people than couple years ago when I went. The smell of weed is all around and I must say I was more cautious walking on strip. I didn't feel in total danger but I didn't feel as safe as I did a few years ago. Definitely a different kind of demographic as u say.
@@gary07281963 Typical of people to say BLM. I'm black and I don't stand for shit the fools are out there doing. Stop classifying all african americans as BLM. The people out there starting crap are fools! Not the hard working law abiding citizens
1wwtom You sir are spot on. Was there last weekend downtown. I did see a lot more security than last year, but yes the demographics has certainly changed. Maybe from all the stimulus checks🤷♂️
I’ve been to Vegas almost every year since I was a teenager and I have never seen it this bad and I’ve never felt more unsafe, and I live in a pretty bad area in California.
Not surprised about low viewership on the Raiders video. The average person is getting sick and tired being lectured to by celebrities and incredibly well paid athletes... society's most privileged people.
Las Vegas won’t recover from this pandemic, it took 10 years to recover from 2008, this is way worse, 1 trillion in projected income wiped from the books , Cosmo being the newest hotel beside the ones going up downtown and resorts world. 90% of jobs In That city are directly or indirectly related to the strip, take away nightlife, pool parties, shows, residencies etc.. New football stadium empty, Edc cancelled, no nfl draft, no gambling for March madness, all the conferences gone.. things are grim. Leaving my job in February and leaving vegas was the best move I ever made and that’s coming from someone who is south florida, the last place I want to be.
No offense this isn’t people with “lanyards” or walking in the “wrong” place. This is happening at the Wynn, Bellagio, Planet Hollywood, all supposedly safe places.
I never stay at the motel w the lowest rate because I've learned they host "low rate people." Loud & unruly is the norm at those places. Due to the pandemic & closures, LV is now trying to get their tourists back by lowering rates. And here they come! When the rates return to normal, you'll see fewer incidents of violence on the strip, as the low rate people are priced out.
Saying it all has to do with low rates cannot be the reason. They have always been low rates somewhere on the strip without this rise in violence. The permits to carry guns out of sight do not help on the strip if somebody pulls their gun out.Brian Waller it's probably closest to the truth; games always seem to bring out violence in those who are violent, at least if they love games
@Brian Waller BINGO! You just said what needed to be said, but most fear to say. I've lived in California my whole life, and in areas this team called home. I respect the team, but as in your words "THUGS" seem to follow this team and feel the need to express themselfs in non acceptable ways. I am not saying all that follow this team is a thug, but, more then their share are.
How so? My girl and i just got back. We never felt unsafe and we were out til 6 am all 3 nights. Downtown and the strip. I got hustled outta $500 but that was my own stupidity amd that was broad daylight😂😂
Very well said as a local I’ve worked on the strip for years at night. One main point is to be respectful and sometimes you have to just ignore the odd people that try and talk to you to avoid confrontations
That's really sad. I was on the strip less than a year ago (November) and my husband & I were on the strip til 2-2:30am...been on the strip many times in the past after midnight. Never once felt threatened. On Fremont? Yeah...but the strip? I hope that stops soon.😔
Reading the comments good bad indifferent, I had no issue hanging there one night at 230am.. yes probably. But your risk for trouble is higher the later it gets into the night.. just common sense. Before or after this crime wave, I prefer the early am hours, 6-7 o clock to 8-9 o clock at night. Thats my vibe.. bad things happen? Sure.. but not as likely
Lived in The Meadows for 31 years the late 90's was it's last stand, after that, it stopped being Vegas. And now it's an odd combo of gang bangers, hipster douchebags, Millennial hookers and bad DJ's. They should change it's named out of respect for the classy town it used to be.
I agree. I know mumbles rappers brag about how much money they make and vegas thinks it is a given to book them. But they also need to take in consider inteliigence and metal health symptoms such as being delusional lol. During the playboy model/ 2000s rockstar era still maintained vegas status.
I’ve been going to vegas for 20+ years and I can say for sure that vegas is getting worse every year but still feel safer there on the strip at least than many of the other American cities I go to or even vancouver
I’m a long time local and I’ve had my concealed weapon permit almost as long for a reason. If you think you’re safe here you’re simply wrong. Tourist have been getting robbed, beaten, murdered, etc long before the virus.
Thanks for saying this bro because this is the honest to God truth. I moved here from LA in 2012 and it's always been sketchy in certain places and things going on in the strip area. I can 100% admit that right now it's low life fool's causing the drama out there then you have the people in the comments saying it's BLM. I'm black and I don't stand for any of the damn foolishness going on! People are crazy
@@TheGrimRunner Where do you live? I driving to Nevada the day after tomorrow to visit Summerlin or Henderson. Hoping to move there soon but seeing the comments, I'm questioning if Vegas is the right choice
@@Norma00ful Vegas is a great place to live especially summerlin and Henderson. I live near Henderson in an area with nothing but small petty crimes which usually include the teens in the area stealing liquor from CVS and a little street racing from the ricers lol. I live on a street called "Hollywood" in the far east part of the valley. Nothing but beautiful homes, and mansions back here with a few apartment building.
I am sure people have always gotten drunk and started altercations in Vegas, just like any big city in the world. The difference is that Vegas relies on Tourism and Convention visitors more than any other place on earth so any unsavoury activity is magnified in relation to that. I think you are right that this stuff has probably always gone on, maybe not in the areas where it is happening now but definitely in North Las Vegas and a few blocks from Downtown. I have aways felt completely safe as a visitor from the UK since 2004 and it is frustrating and saddening to see all the negative stuff dominating your local news cycle. Take care Steven and good luck for the future, I am sure in 2 or 3 years this will all be a bad memory.
Vegas is ghetto now. I was there this past weekend and there was a shooting on the strip about 3 am. There were also lots off arrest and it is very dirty on the strip. The inside of the casinos are clean.
We are planning to move to the Vegas area. Houses away from the strip are reasonal price wise and looks like a lot of land too. But when I research the crime in Las Vegas, I just said forget it. As a retire couple we need a safe environment. We will be looking in the better parts of Henderson, not Las Vegas.
@@ekraszewski Ah, that's a Waikiki hotel Mini Mart. Prices in Hilo... (I know, I've lived here since 1973, via Chicago). Milk-$5.59 gal. Cereal-could be as much as $6 a box, anything with sugar is expensive. Gasoline $3.32 gallon, fresh tomatoes-$2.99 lb., 25lb bag of rice $21. Also take into consideration.... we don't pay for heat, don't pay for AC, we generally don't buy winter clothes. Crime is low. We don't have an NFL team so it's friendly ribbing from residents about which team you follow. Traffic jams on the rural islands are caused by drivers being TOO courteous by allowing side street drivers into main flow of traffic. Interracial relationships/marriages are common and not frowned upon. An Aloha shirt, long pants and new flip flops (called rubba slippha here) are considered business casual here. Anyone in Vegas who wants a taste of Hawaii, stay at The California Hotel and Casino. The brown people you see there are probably not Hispanic, look at their shoes. Start a conversation, we are very friendly. Start off with "Howzit, are you from Hawaii".
We have been visiting for several years. We visited the beginning of August this year and felt very unsafe. Multiple fights broke out right beside us in a very busy on strip casino. I would not take a seat near the open entrance. There were many “lingerers” that we’re just hanging out not gambling. An employee on the floor told me not to go out on the strip after dark. Very scary. Won’t be back until there is more metro presence.
I lived there 13 years ago, but I was in the military! I never seen any of this. I’m so scared to go now. Wow hopefully it gets better soon. We leave in November. I’m staying on base then.
new vegas tag line "If the virus doesnt get you the thugs will" lol its actually safer at strat and sahara more than the main strip or downtown. very strange days
Everybody thinks I’m negative but this is bad. They need an increase police presence cause the words getting out that the chances of encountering some thing bad is higher than normal
Jamie The only time I’ve seen the community social worker comment being made is when they’re talking about non-violent things like drug abuse or stuff like that. I’m no expert on the topic but I highly doubt they ever meant using social workers for a violent event like a fight on the strip.
I use to go to Vegas back in the 70's and 80's when the Mob ran Vegas..... They knew how to treat the visitors to a good time and you felt safe as long as you behave yourself. If someone caused trouble, the Mob had ways to take care of the troublemakers. Every since Steve Wynn ruined Vegas and the Mob left, it has become the "armpit" of great places to go and have fun and feel safe. I would love to go out there again, but know I would be highly disappointed, so I will go somewhere where I will feel safe. It's too bad, those in charge now don't put a stop to the violence and clean the city up. Unfortunately, Vegas has turned into a $hithole.
I've beem comming to Vegas since the days of The Dunes, Stsrdust and when Fremont St didnt have a roof....The town was nothing but class!! I went there to get married in 2009 at Paris. The town was starting to becoming a gutter and disgusting then. Total trash. I've never been back - i could only imagine!!!!! What a pitty!!!
Yes, CLASS is the word. Now a days the general public goes to a fancy restaurant in cut off jeans, a t-shirt and a baseball cap. Dean Martin and the Rat pack, where are you??!!
I remember going to Vegas waaay back when, and regular tourists, (the money spenders,) felt totally safe in the Casino areas. All the seedy stuff was behind the scenes or in specific parts of town.
And look what is happening in Louisville KY tonight, and all across Democrat run cities tonight 😂😂😂 Las Vegas as a whole needs to rise against the rising tide of the rest of the country....we are Las Vegas 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

People went out of their way to be friendly due to the bad press. Hope that helps you out.
I live here and it's like any other city. Crime is gonna happen. If you look for trouble it will find you. If you have respect and any bit of street smarts to you this city is awesome.
luckly, when I visited everything was amazing, the only "fights"was a drunk dude at excailber getting mad at security, and drunk girls fighting at the luxor pool
I just came back from Vegas. Very disappointed. Inane stuff... Craps tables cleaning dice, but chips just stacked, handed out, and handled by dealers and players alike. A LOT of rif-raff causing problems. I am planning on coming back in the spring, but not unless they improve things. Casino Security needs to be armed. Really scary.
I have been on high alert for several years while in Vegas and especially now. There has always been and undercurrent of shady characters and people. I saw an ankle holster on a big kid in McDonalds a few years ago. Always pay attention to your surroundings at night.
have situational awareness. don't be staring at your phone constantly. walk with a purpose. don't argue with people for no reason. if you're outside on the strip and something goes down, duck into a casino. how is the crime in 2021? has it gotten better now that things are getting back to normal?
I hate to say it, but I’m old enough to say I used to go to Vegas during the Mafia days. We all knew it, just accepted it, but the town was perfectly safe. I think we need to somehow bring back that type of protection, everybody made money, not millions, but it was fun and safe for everyone because trouble wasn’t tolerated, there was no place on the strip or off the strip that wasn’t safe. The police force didn’t have to do anything, if the idiots screwed up, they couldn’t cry racism, BLM or whatever, if you caused trouble you left, one way or another.
The police were bought off by the mob, as were judges (example Judge Claiborne), senators, etc. everybody who could be bought was bought. But you are right. The mob needed the city itself to be crime free so until the Tony Spilatro it was crime free.… Unless the mob hauled you out to the desert and you were never seen again.
Was in Vegas recently and I was struck by the number of young, seemingly healthy IDIOTS screaming around the strip smoking blounts riding on scooters. WTF?!?
I stopped watching your videos a few months ago due to fear of missing out. Now that I feel like I might go back to vegas I am want to tell you how much I enjoy the content. Thanks for all the info as I work my way through your videos again.
My prediction is that this video will be end up getting the highest view count on your channel, Steven. Not that you would want it to, but it will be the most relevant and ongoing topic for Las Vegas in the long term. The negative headlines will continue to caution tourists and show the viral cell phone clips and those who are getting that message of caution will look for more information and find this video. Congrats to you. Not so much for the trouble makers trying to turn The Strip into Stabbyville (more accurate: Shootyville).
We just moved our 4 day Vegas trip out to November / now after reading this we are not so sure about coming at all until things improve . If we want violence we can stay right here in Calif and save our money !!
When we visited following the July 4th holiday we noticed more than a usual number of young people driving scooters on the strip. At first I thought they looked like those used by the handicapped but then I noticed the young people were driving pretty fast and stopping to get off and walk around. We thought WTF??????? Anyway, we were able to just avoid the scooters but now I notice they have gone crazy there! You're right, it's an unfortunate situation right now and we're all for law enforcement taking control of the situation. As you already know, we live in northern Nevada and we absolutely want visitors to feel safe when they come to visit our state. Things have to change (for the better).
Even before the COVID pandemic.... the strip has been getting more ghetto every day. I lived in Vegas in the 90’s and it was a different place. I used to love going to Vegas but have lost my enthusiasm for Vegas
So, how many inmates were released worldwide during the pandemic? THOUSANDS! They are out on the streets everywhere round the world. They will make their presence known.
Same in new York , cuomo and DIBLASIO have emptied the prisons , Rikers island is empty because they're all running around in the city. He has taken the homeless and put him in hotels arou d Manhattan .. New York is very scary right now . A lot of crime and people getting stabbed..
I was just there last week. What is going on with the mobility scooters? People riding at 10-15 miles an hour and in like scooter gangs. Had to step out of the way a few times, only to get dirty looks of get out of my way.
Sad.

I’m sad to say that it’s not just a few bad people causing trouble on the Strip right now. I had to go to Fashion Show Mall for something the other day and felt unsafe walking around there during the daytime. The energy is not good and I’m glad people are acknowledging this shift.
Why? What did you see?

Not the crowd it once was at least right now
@R Cruz everywhere we went had the same kind of issues... bro
Well Las Vegas wanted the OAKLAND RAIDERS HERE YOU GO. Not only do you get the Raiders but you get their GHETTOTHUG FANS . Have any you ever been to Oakland?? It’s funny you say that MrGrownman...I live in the Bay Area and have been to plenty of 49er and Raiders games...seen way more fights at 49er games! Most people that actually live in Oakland can’t afford to go to Raiders games. I’m sorry that you have a very unfortunate view of “ghetto” fans.
There's a lot of tension lately. It's not just on the strip. It's everywhere. I won't go out at night without my husband with me.
I'm honestly really disappointed in my Vegas experience recently. I went in August and September as a fully comped MGM player just looking to get away from the grind in LA.

We need a happy medium between "Low rate" and "Too freaking expensive". What that is? I dont know
Exactly who are the " low rate people" you keep talking about?
@Brian Waller right. It's long been a statistic that there is more spousal and family abuse during games; police are called out more etc.
I don't recommend level minded tourists out on the strip after 10 pm.
I did leave Las Vegas in March after 9 years. I felt more and more like pergatory. Should have left long ago. God speed to you sir!
I just got from Vegas. Usually go 2-3 times a year and this was the first time it felt sketchy on the strip.
The high rollers or “whales” are no longer coming to Vegas because they don’t feel safe even in the best casinos.
The new vegas is MACAO.
Vegas is ghetto now. I was there this past weekend and there was a shooting on the strip about 3 am. There were also lots off arrest and it is very dirty on the strip. The inside of the casinos are clean.
3am? Wow.. thankfully I wouldve been sound asleep in my hotel room
ghetto now almost everywhere...
@@userknonothing Do your hookers usually sleep over?
@@jeffsor47 there's not a my hooker to start, or my hookers. So in turn hookers do not stay the night in my hotel room. you ever?
@@userknonothing Oh I see, you call them escorts not hookers and you only pay the short term rate. OK, that's cool.

Steven, if only there were more people like you. Thanks for being an awesome person!
Makes me happy 😊 when you say nice things about my boy
That's too kind thanks!
W Moy
Check out Pahrump, Nevada new homes, great prices and only about 45 minutes from Vegas.
If you're retiring, consider Hilo Hawaii.
DeWALTer_White Hilo sounds good...if you don’t mind paying $9.00 for a gallon of milk.
It's now a Dark....Skid Row... been going there for 28 years. No more!
Maybe they need community “social workers” on the strip to deescalate & solve these problems 😂
Canceled my trip because all the show cancellations. Caribbean All inclusive here we come.
@@808breaksbad how old are you?
@@Norma00ful I was born the same year Sputnik was launched. But from my UA-cam videos you wouldn't think it.
I remember going to Vegas waaay back when, and regular tourists, (the money spenders,) felt totally safe in the Casino areas. All the seedy stuff was behind the scenes or in specific parts of town.
The Downtown people made there way to the Strip! Its gonna be overun eventually. 👎
And look what is happening in Louisville KY tonight, and all across Democrat run cities tonight 😂😂😂 Las Vegas as a whole needs to rise against the rising tide of the rest of the country....we are Las Vegas 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I’ll be in town at Bellagio next week. I am not concerned but will be aware. Will report back how the vibe is to you all.
How did it go?
How did it go? I plan on going next week and thinking about canceling. I hear its not the same..
@@600IRWe were there 8 days. It was good. Full disclosure there were more people than I thought would be there. There are no trams or monorail so you have to walk the strip or taxi/Uber. We had fun and felt safe. We rented a car for 3 days to go downtown and visit Red Rock Casino and Mandalay Bay. Did some hiking too. I would go back again. People went out of their way to be friendly due to the bad press. Hope that helps you out.
It's sad to see this happening. 20 years here I've never seen it like this

Quit my job at the Flamingo. Unsafe. Unhealthy. Violence prevalent.
You quit? That bad?
Y just not worth the risk was a Great Gig
I just came back from Vegas. Very disappointed. Inane stuff... Craps tables cleaning dice, but chips just stacked, handed out, and handled by dealers and players alike. A LOT of rif-raff causing problems. I am planning on coming back in the spring, but not unless they improve things. Casino Security needs to be armed. Really scary.
Las Vegas needs to bring back the Mob Mentality people that act a fool need to be taken to the back room or a nice trip out to the desert
They say Vegas was great for the visitors when the Mob was there protecting the guests and their money.
Spirit....Frontier....to name a few are part of the problem.
Not brave enough to fly them
Why what’s wrong with those airlines?
WTF?!?
It should be legal to shoot them off their scooters like a carnival game.
@@outbackeddie LOL, I'm not up for that, but I am laughing at this comment, because I trust it's hyperbole.
I wouldn’t bother . I was there last week .. bad news .. my friends drove from az and left cause they didn’t feel safe
Cancelled my usual November trip.
If you want to feel unsafe on vacation, come here to Venice beach. Ghetto as it gets.
I've been to Vegas 18 times since 2009 and I don't think I've ever seen a fight.

I was there 2 weeks ago! I’ve never seen so many black people as a black man I’m saying this. It even made me feel uncomfortable so I get it.
Wow
Thank you for raising awareness of how dangerous The Strip and Fremont Street really are. Stay safe out there
When we visited following the July 4th holiday we noticed more than a usual number of young people driving scooters on the strip.
On a positive note, your video quality is incredible!
Even before the COVID pandemic.... the strip has been getting more ghetto every day. I lived in Vegas in the 90’s and it was a different place. I used to love going to Vegas but have lost my enthusiasm for Vegas
Thank you for the great videos💯💯🔥🔥
So, how many inmates were released worldwide during the pandemic? THOUSANDS! They are out on the streets everywhere round the world. They will make their presence known.
*plandemic
Same in new York , cuomo and DIBLASIO have emptied the prisons , Rikers island is empty because they're all running around in the city. He has taken the homeless and put him in hotels arou d Manhattan .. New York is very scary right now . A lot of crime and people getting stabbed..
Violence is up everywhere. We just had a machine gun attack on an apartment building in SF. Amazingly enough nobody got hurt.
I was just there last week. What is going on with the mobility scooters? People riding at 10-15 miles an hour and in like scooter gangs. Had to step out of the way a few times, only to get dirty looks of get out of my way.
Sad.
Steve you are great! Always taking about Las Vegas! We are coming to Las Vegas next year! Love the show, keep on watching! 🌹🇺🇸
