If you already know the blues basics and do pretty good at playing, get ready to find out how hard you have been making it.
Ian is a master teacher, using simplicity and a structure anyone can understand. The class has a good progression of difficulty.

Exactly what's required to learn the blues. This is a properly structured and well thought out blues course taking you through the chords and scales for the blues in any key. Building from a basic foundation of chords to advanced soloing with target notes and hot notes in three positions. Plus charts, backing tracks and lots more. Well done Stich Method I look forward to seeing more in the same teaching style.

Ian, thank you SO MUCH for this class! I'm only 16 minutes into it and already you've explained soloing over the I, IV, V clearer than any of the gazillions of blues video lessons I've watched. This masterclass part 1 does what so many other classes fail to do which is to not just show and explain the pentatonic and its extensions but which notes to use when as far as the chord progression goes. If anybody out there is looking to really gain a grasp on the blues and how to play it, I can't say enough about this course (and again I'm only 16 minutes into it!). If you've watched the Stich method videos on youtube and wondered if things were going to fly by as quickly in the master class (having to hit the rewind a lot cuz things were covered at almost breakneck speed as if the clock was ticking or a bus was having to be caught, lol), don't worry. This class is neither too rushed nor too slow. It's comprehensive and thorough and there's no doubt that the teacher's goal is to TEACH so YOU can understand things fully (not just bits and pieces where you're still kind of just guessing and hoping), practice efficiently, engrain concepts, and be able to play all on your own. Yeah, this is a highly recommended course. Anybody on the fence needs to jump over that puppy cuz the grass is truly greener (or bluer) on the other side. Thanks again, Ian. I was watching the live feed last Monday evening (it was awesome). One of the questions had something to do with scales shape for modes or over modes not sure and my theory is not strong. You seemed to feel very strongly about the subject. Is there any chance you will address this again?

I'm taking the Master class a Udemy and it's great but one suggestion: the videos are long and broken up into sections but would be better to be separate videos. Every place we should stop and practice with the backing track should be the end of that video.
