An Em pentatonic scale is a G major scale. The E is the relative minor to G just as A is to C etc, count down 4 notes to the minor from the root. But Major scale requires changing scale shape when changing chords. Play like Dickey Betts and you will get it. Good luck

I'm close to age 52 and I wanted to be a guitar player as long as I can think of. But I never really made it much further then smoke on the water because in my teen ages I always opted for the shortcut. After watching your "Music Theorie" series on YT a couple of weeks ago, I took our old children's guitar from the attic and started playing and exploring as suggested because your explanations already making sense to me! About Eleven days ago, I signed for your beginners course and it's simply wow! The main reason, that I'm quite confident to get it right this time, is your unique way of explaining and talking! Please start talking for ages about everything you want if you like, because I'm sure there is so much to lern from, it's highly entertaining and sometimes it relieves the pain at my fingertips a little! i'm having a go learning country guitar and I keep thinking of the major scale with the flat third as the country scale along with using the mixolydian pentatonic scale.

Is he ok? We were pounding Mickys and grinding the coping of a pool when stone broke and teeth flew just as the cops came crashing in, I realize this isn't information a father likes to hear, but... he grabbed the board and spun DNA everywhere and stuck it in the deep end. That was the last I heard tale of Hex. You kids out there will never know what it was like back when sk8ting was a crime, not a sport. well i guess i'll fall back inta diminsiona from my own head tramau just stick that other note in there and younl be jus fine. Loosin a good friend ain' gota be all bad specially when evading the coppers.

This channel and your descriptions are the the key to the lock that has been stopping me from progressing. So many light bulb moments watching and more importantly listening to what you say. Please don’t talk less as the nuggets of why it sounds like it does is gold. Too many people on UA-cam showing off what they can do and not explaining the why behind the sound. If anything... talk more... as a university lecturer of 14 years experience, I can tell you that you teach exceptionally well.. keep it up...

Mixolydian. The 5th mode of the diatonic scale. The notes are the same as the major scale but with a flat 7
for example C ionian or c major is
      C D E F G A B C
      C mixolydian is
      C D E F G A Bb C

Entering the 4 and 5 chord, target a chord tone or arpeggio licks ( or even the major blues scales of those chords) then go into the minor blues scale of the 1 chord as the chord changes.

Whoever says you're talking too much doesn't know how UA-cam works. It's not that you're talking too much. It's that they don't know how to turn off something they've heard before or how to skip ahead. Keep talking: it'll give them a chance to figure out how the controls work, and it'll give the rest of us a chance to learn more. Thank you for your helpful videos.
