    Enjoyed the presentation. 😀
Live in OK with lots of wind and solar but our payback on solar is 10.2 years on your chart. That is too long. The average payback period for solar panels in Australia is between 3 to 5 years. It rubs me raw that both parties keep slapping tariffs on solar equipment. It even hinders the cell to panel production that is happening here in the US.

Venezuela is not a good example for a country that would be rendered powerless by EVs. The US has been antagonistic towards Venezuela due to our desire to control their oil reserves and we will continue to do the same in the EV era due to our desire to control their mineral resources because those resources can be beneficial for batteries and electronics.

Battery specific elements are better spread out around the world.

@@FutureAZA maybe so, but Elon seemed pretty excited about the prospect of not having to scour the globe for some of them just a few weeks ago. “Democracy” is an existential hazard for nations with certain natural resources.

@@mothanwrdz Check out the article "The countries controlling the critical minerals supply chain: in four charts" Canada and the UK top the list. The US and China are about equal. China is mining on 5 continents.

If it weren't for UA-cam videos, you'd have a lot more in the audience. Thank for making it possible for me to not have to see you in person. 😅

Not just Venezuela, but plenty of revolting people would be weakened by EVs - Iran, Russia, Arabia, and so on... not to mention the right-wing creatures within the States...

There are a lot of people on that list who REALLY don't like us.
