A good number of analysts understand the significance of RoboTaxi and Optimus. However they aren’t willing to grant valuation without a proven business plan. This includes product sold, revenue earned, and production ramp planning. The 10/10 event will test Tesla’s ability to perform on a business plan otherwise it’s just a dog and pony show.

Labor unions are quick to point out that only 15% of they cars they build are labor. This is true for the assembly plant. There is larger 30% or so labor cost at the supplier level. Replace all the people and it cuts the price more or less in 1/2.

I am not sure what you mean. Yes, as AI advances, many things and most factories, farms, businesses, etc. will adapt and improve. The economy will change. So will education, recreation, and, in many respects, society. But, as far as I can tell, Tesla and SpaceX are among the most highly visible progenitors of future widespread changes. There are similar changes happening in medicine, energy, agriculture, just about every discipline. But Tesla is one of the earliest and leading companies to embrace and demonstrate this transition and, thus, help establish the direction in which this "unfolding" occurs. You might think the "seed" pales in comparison to the "tree," but without the seed, there is no tree and no delicious fruit either, filled with new seeds.
I have been following the exponential shift in tech and social change for the past 5-6 years, reaching back to 1980 where I start with "0"... I've done that math, and this 10-10-24 is in line with that. The Singularity is just around the corner on my chart. Most people don't see it coming... My $0.02...I think the Cybercab and the next-gen mass market vehicle are the same car.
The Cybercab, completely driven by software, could be remote controlled, or they can just bolt in a HOTAS (hands-on throttle and stick) module to make it a user driveable vehicle. This would also make it very easy to offer left- or right-hand drive.
Even if I'm wrong, I'm sure "We, Robot" will be epic.

I think I am ready for this HISTORIC EVENT, but is my mind really ready for what will be revealed. The amount of content that is going to come out of this one event is going to be next level. All I can do is count down to 10/10 and look forward to a brighter future for us ALL.

Sorry but I don't think the robo-taxi will be built on the modified line in Texas. Elon said they are releasing an interim mass market car in early 2025 (at least that is my understanding). Plus, it's too early to start robo-taxi production, as FSD is not solved yet and its full autonomy date is uncertain, and unboxed likely isn't fully figured out yet. Possibly, they will test unboxed on this line on the taxi, but I doubt it.
Anyway, I guess we will all find out in a couple weeks.
Tesla will have slices of so many different pies 🥧, while other “ car companies “ will fight over one pie, a pie that Tesla has a big slice of now …

The individuals who are apt to want a car that is under $25K in price are the same individuals who might not own a car at all when Cybercabs are available in quantity.
This means to me that if Tesla does produce a car under $25K it will not be for mass production but will be limited in numbers while they ramp up Cybercab and see how much demand for the $25K car evaporates.
i know i am one of those ppl who would prefer to summon a car.
How would anyone afford a car let alone a ride in a Cybercab??? All of the common mundane jobs will be replaced with robots, you know the jobs that the $25K car is for, So if you don't have a job to bye a $25K car you won't be able to afford a Cybercab.

The CCP has already said they will go full tilt on robotic labor. The CCP would like nothing more than all goods and services coming from the state.
However once one nation goes robotic then any nation that does not... for whatever reason or law... will be left economically in the dust by those adopting robot labor. Goods and services from the robotic nation will completely undercut bya huge margin in price and quality anything a non-robotic nation can produce or offer. Only closing the border to all imports and external goods can hope to keep out robot made items... and even then they will be smuggled in.
ReThinkX has a great presentation explaining what happens to an economy that does go robotic and those that don't.... or try to limit it.

I watch your videos every time they come out. But I have to say that in this video your estimate of the number of robots is gigantically over optimistic. 300 million people in India do not have electricity none of them are going to be buying a robot millions and millions of African people live on a dollar or two a day they will not be buying any robots In South America they're very large populations of people that have no money, they will not be buying robots. There are Several million people in the United States that are homeless are nearly homeless, they will not be buying any robots. And with the robots taking over more and more jobs Those people that have lost their jobs to robots Will not be buying any robots.
A gigs factory, without biological entities picking up sheets of metal, attaching wheels, or simply driving finished product to a parking lot…
No more need for cheap laborers.

I don’t think Optimus will take part in the “We, Robot” event as it would take away focus from the 3 robotaxis (. .. …) they imo will show. The 25k car will not be shown as well 🙂
A modified Model Y makes so much more sense than a small 2 seater as a "RoboTaxi" yes it costs more initially but it can handle 99% of all taxi runs with its passenger and luggage capacity, it already gets > 130 mpgi so run costs are insignificant.
Elon and Tesla are force feeding us some cutting edge ai self driven car, because everyone that ever bought a car rather not drive it, since when ? And at the same time with every update, they are slow cocking the frog they named autopilot to now being one massive annoyance. There are more bings and bongs in a Tesla now than in any Chinese car, and autopilot is not even capable of circumventing a simple , middle of the road divide, thanks for nothing I guess.

While it is technically not mapping, it’s also not exactly realistic to how the system will have to work. You can’t train it like that for the whole world, and this version will wind up overfit for that specific location

The hardware is child's play compared to the software
and the software to make each work is 10+ years away

the Robot needs something so far ahead of L5 that we have no idea what is really needed

I know exactly where the robot and taxi stand - prototypes that need 10+ years of software development to work.
We Robot won’t move TSLA valuation that much, especially if it’s just about RoboTaxi. In fact it’s likely to drop valuation back to levels we had this summer if not it’s just a RoboTaxi reveal.
I am hoping for the best but given Elon I am expecting to be disappointed in the scope of this event.
RoboTaxi will need to prove its business case as far as many analysts and investors are concerned. And isn’t likely to move valuation to the levels some analysts are thinking.
