You are Consistently making the logical comparison videos I thought everyone else would be making to the evo SL! Thank you. Any chance u can do. Evo sl vs Mach 6 vs rebel v4
@@jasonramlochan4910 Thanks, Jason! The Evo SL has been so popular! I think reviewers have found they can make them to illogical comparisons and still get views! 🤣 I thought about doing a 3-way comparison with the Mach 6 but I didn’t think the Mach 6 was as good as these two. I’ll take the Mach 6 out again and see what I think!
@@its_Matt_B_ about 350. The rear 2 tiny pieces of rubber markings on both sides are all gone. Those at the front are wearing off fast too. And I am a small build runner. :(
@@its_Matt_B_ but the SL2 doesn't have this high wear rate though. I just had the chance to touch and feel the evo sl. Feels premium but all the popular sizes are gone. 😭
@@Leporkchop34 Cheers for watching! I haven’t actually run in the Neo Zen yet. I got a pair but they were too big. I’m expecting a new pair that fits this week. If they’re comparable at all I will make a video about them.
@@femaciel My right legs is a little messed up. My right knee doesn’t track straight and it makes everything on that leg a bit off. The ESL didn’t feel unstable to me.
I might be the 8th person thinking about this comparison. I loved my 2 pairs of RB4s for everyday training. Have clocked over 550kms in each. Was going to get Evo SL but too hard to get a pair so time for a 3rd pair of RB4s. Thank you. 😅
New Balance has definitely been my surprise for 2024. I have been using the rebel V4 for my easier ones similar to the Hoka Mach 6. My preferred Tempo trainer shoe has been the New Balance SC Trainer. I think I am still a little gun-shy over any Adidas shoe after the bad experience I had with the Pro 3 because of my wide foot. The New Balance has definitely worked well with my wide feet. I have put about 50 miles in each NB in my current shoe rotation.
evo sl has a much more modern higher stack height than the rebel which is light on protection (39/33 vs 30/23) and the light strike pro foam that is the same as from the adios 3 has legendary durability. As a result will probably get 1.5 to 2 times as many miles /km with the Adidas
I don't have either shoe. Indeed, they are fairly evenly comparable shoes. I am leaning partially towards EVO SL because of the full Lightstrike PRO midsole. I also feel EVO SL outsole might not last too long and could be slick on wet.
The full length LSP feels nice underfoot. I haven't run into any slippy situations, but it still seems to me that ESL's outsole won't stick me to the ground when it matters most. 🤣 Hopefully i'll never find out.
I have 300+ miles in the rebel and really liked the shoe..i tried the boston 12 and kinda fell in love with lightstrike pro, though its not the same as in the evo sl..but i think ill try the evo afte another 150-200 miles in the rebel..in europe the evo is 10€ less than the rebel, 150 to 160..so im looking forward to test the evo sl..plus i think it looks dope
Sure wish I could have bought the Evo SL. Just bought another pair of Nike ZF 6 for $127US. It's a GREAT shoe, very versatile, great outsole AND you can actually buy it! LOL
@@jimoconnor8597 I'm excited to get a pair. Earlier in my running life when the Zoomfly first released I loved them and thought I could wear them forever.
@@wilsonbarbosa6962 sorry; I’m not dialed into Adidas’ colorway release schedule. I think the white will be available again simple because of how popular it is. As far as the NB Rebel v5, I imagine it will be out in March because v4 was released in March this year.
The Rebel V4 upper is just too sloppy for me and forefoot area too wide, didn't like the fit at all so it's a no-go for me. The Evo SL is wide too but the upper is much better. Ran a bit short, I should have half-size up but not sure how it feels because the forefoot is wide. So it is the Evo SL for me. However, I must say you have to work for it in the Evo SL due to no plates/shank but I like it.
It sounds like you've got fairly narrow feet, so I'm not surprised the Rv4's upper feels a bit sloppy. Yes, i agree about having to work for the ESLs to work, but I find that's the case not any non-plated shoes now I'm so used to shoes w/plates.
@@its_Matt_B_ the Asics Superblast though without a plate; you kinda still feel assisted when picking up the pace. 2 runs in the Evo SL now, one Threshold and one moderate Easy pace, it feels much better at the moderate pace with its smooth transitions, lowers my HR too for the same pace. Will rather take out my Takumi Sen for those TH works next round 😄
Dude stop already. The Evo SL is the best non-plated shoe ever. No other shoe can hold a candle to it. It’s got great cushion and even better bounce. My ez pace has improved 15 seconds per mile AT THE SAME HEART RATE just by switching to them. They’re simply a miracle, especially for a 56 year old like me.
My problem with that white Adidas Evo SL is that it would be so difficult to see it become dirty after daily use...as it is one of the best looking shoes out there.
Sorry, but this comparison doesn't even make sense to me. How can you compare a shoe like the Adidas SL Evo, with its excellent, firm and responsive 100% Lightstrike Pro midsole, with the Rebel v4 and its overly soft, tiring midsole that feels like a mix of butter and marshmallow? What's the point in comparing a high-quality, high-performance training shoe with another that's more appropriate for walking around the shopping?

@@its_Matt_B_ I completely understand your work, which needs to be aligned with what runners want to see.
