1 egg 2 tsp vanilla essence 1 tbls butter 1 tbls and a bit jam 1 cup white sugar 1 tbls brown vinegar 1 cup flour 1 cup milk 1 tsp baking soda ½ tsp baking powder ½ teaspoon salt
Hi Fatima. Thank you very much. Just want to advise everyone. For the bitter taste or after taste that they should try to always sift the bicarb/baking soda and the baking powder. When you do that the small clots that you can't see or notice in your baking powder or baking soda starts to be a powder no more clots. Hope it makes sense. Try to sift the bicarb into the milk than mix into the milk before mixing all ingredients so that it absorbs into the milk. It makes a difference in all recipes. Stay blessed.

Fatima, I’m watching this video because I live abroad and I’m trying to make Malva pudding for the family that are Coming to visit for Christmas. Your soft spoken nature and giggle makes me miss my Ouma so much and put such a smile on my face! Thank you for this very informative video! I will let you know how it went!
Fatima!! I’ve been making this at least once a week and let.me.tell.you!!! Magnificent!! We literally can’t eat any other sweet thing at the moment because NOTHING compares. May God through Christ bless you continually. Thank you for the giggles in between too, we can’t help but laugh with you every time we watch. ✨❤️💞
Oh wow amazing! I didnt see this. I actually made it a week ago it turned out yummy. But a bit too sweet considering the sugar quantities. So i would advise to put a little less sugar
Been following you on Facebook for years. Good move on the UA-cam channel. Please also ad the recipe in the description below the video. Can't wait to try out this recipe.

Fatima, we are most impressed with you malva pudding, lamington and koessister recipes and your excellent top-class presentation of them all. We will certainly be trying some of the recipes out this coming weekend and really look forward to some tremendous sampling. Many thanks and congratulations on sharing these fine recipes with us. 👍😀👏😋😋
The first video of yours I watched too. What started as a love for baking only rippled into cooking meals as well. Rest in paradise, Aunty 💔🤍🕊️ Btw, this was a BANGER the first attempt. To this day is it my big brother’s favourite dessert I make.
Did they like it? Edit: I'm making it tomorrow for christmas for my German friends and I'm terribly nervous I'm going to mess up and drag South African cuisine's fine name through the mud

If you have fresh milk, just cook it down on a stove till half the quantity is left. Don't boil! Gently simmer. The water evaporates and you're left with a concentrated creamy milk
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla essence
1 tbls butter
1 tbls and a bit jam
1 cup white sugar
1 tbls brown vinegar
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
Thank you so much
The sauce:
- 200mL evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
Heat it up and pour it over pudding when it comes out of oven.
❤
Is it k to use white vinegar
@@sphetheni467yes I used white vinegar and it came out great!

Making my husband Malva pudding. But served with an amarula custard and gelato.
I love this pudding so nice with custard
Shukran Faati
Thank you for the recipe.
This is amazing, I always thought it must be complicated... What can I use as a substitute for evaporated milk?
If you have fresh milk, just cook it down on a stove till half the quantity is left. Don't boil! Gently simmer. The water evaporates and you're left with a concentrated creamy milk
I use fresh cream to pour over the pudding. Super decadent, but you only live once...😉
Hi Fatima, please can you tell me what flour you are using ? self raising flour or cake flour please?
Would love to make this for Christmas! 😊
Amazing .Thank you so much 👍👍
