    Hello Lel and Martyn,
I am only now watching this video. Martyn, I think that this is an ABSOLUTELY fabulous idea. Lel, thank you for accepting the challenge
My biggest concern is that how this furniture will withstand the test of time. I wonder how the children's glue will stand up to wallpaper over time. And, how the cement in the paint will hold up. I haven't watched both of the videos yet, so I don't know what you plan on doing with this furniture, but I really would appreciate an occasional update on it. How is it doing? Is anything peeling off, falling off, etc.
I was also thinking that if someone didn't have wallpaper samples, that pieces of magazine pictures could have been used or an old wall calendar. As for dyes, how about children's paints or shaved bits of children's coloring pencils? Things like that.
Looking forward to the rest of these 2 videos.
    Have a great week.
    Hugs,
    Eve

If your wallpaper is too thick, apply sellotape to the back and pull off gently.

    Lovely paper there.
    Can't wait for part 2.
When you were talking about how old different parts of the house are, it reminded me of the show I love to watch "escape to the country" with different additions to a house from different periods.

Many years ago (30+😮), I made myself a small dollhouse from a cheap kit that had flaky, splintery wood. I used vinyl paint, Polyfilla and PVA glue. I didnt colour it and unfortunately never finished the house. It's still perfectly on the house today, it made the wood much harder and had a very smooth finish. I don't remember chalk paint at the time but i thought of it at the time as a kind of gesso. It got thicker with time and I had to water it down

I can never stand the suspense, so I fast forward to see the magic, then I can relax through your amazing process. Although you really got me this time with a part two. 🤣You’re rubbing off on me (thank God), and I’ve made some really fun projects using molds. Thank you! 💕

This is so amazing , the amount i’ve spent in the past and not used as i get complete overwhelm and ended up bining the piece , i have not thought ever about creating the pieces i love for enjoyment i’ve concentrated on what i thought a customer would like and then thought nothing except 1 piece was good enough to sell out of 6 pieces , thank you both so much xx

I used to try and paint for what I thought people wanted.... And my furniture didn't sell.
Then I started to paint what I liked and suddenly it sold and well.
If you like someone else will like it...... Go get painting and selling

This was certainly FUN! BUT, I've no desire to go this bare bones cuz I've got the 'goods' and I'm raring to get at it!
I absolutely L💗VE the exotic wallpaper, can't even imagine the room that would have created! Good job Lel & shame on your Martyn for taking all your wife's goodies away! 😉😜🤣

This was fascinating and so fun to watch! Giving Martyn the “look” at the beginning was hysterical. When you got the blue paint out at the end I was literally cheering you on! Can’t wait to watch tomorrow

Wow, this was really a challenge. So far you are tackling it head on. I think once you had it completed a sort of appreciation probably over took you, on what supplies you have collected over the years. I have quite a collection myself, and need to start using it up! Excited for part 2!!!!!

Good job Martin on this challenge! 😂 I can't wait until tomorrow to see it all brought together. This reminds me of a free shelf that I did using latex paint, plaster of Paris, craft paints, modge podge and lace cut from some free curtain sample panels I got.😂

Warning long comment. :-0Can’t wait for part 2. I love using cardboard and my fingers for texture. Since watching your show I love using baking paper and wet cloths and adding chalk, salt spray for layers. This is a great way of showing how when you’re in your craft space and you don’t have all the tools and paints you can make do. I have so many moulds and stamps now that I need to take a vacay for the online shopping and now just using it all!! You have inspired me so much and the big thing is paint for yourself. I would really love to be a furniture artist and sell my pieces. The crazy thing is my family owns a furniture shop!! But my style is just a bit too out there….as in I love colour and texture and i would love to even have a corner of the shop that featured my work. I do second guess myself because of my low vision and confusion of colours, but i think I’m working around that. Ad the biggest compliment is one of the ladies in the shop saw a piece of wall art I had made suing layers and transfers and she offered to buy it form me….but she said I need to display it in the shop for a bit to show off my work. This is a confidence boost but I have a long way off feeling confident and knowing my worth. I love how you guys throw these kind of workshops that get to the nitty gritty of painting for yourself or if you’re selling it. Keep it up and can’t wait to see how this shimmering unicorn of a piece turns out!

You will get there, I have built a business on being slightly out there in fact often not just slightly.
It's nerve wracking to be brave but if you like it someone else will.
Take the plunge and go for it.
Since you explained about your vision I always now explain the paint colour so your not confused..... Much love, now go get em Melanie...... What you going to loose!!!!

So fun, thank you for this. altho i'm no intentions to sell my makes, since you have shown me how easy color mixing is in past episodes, here's a tip for USA makers: I check by Home Depot (other paint stores) for their Oops paint. Always at least a few getting gallon for couple dollars. I try to pick up the lighter colors so can mix. Some smaller "trendy" color Oops, i get for $1. Prices here increased since cov19 to $12 tester to $30 or more for gallon.
