The piece is over the moon! I think the big moon would be fun with glow in the dark paint. My fav new paper, I think you’ll sell out. Go gray! it’s very popular right now even people that aren’t gray are going gray. I did it a few years ago and it is so freeing no more coloring, just me being me. If you need that punch of color, wear a red Paisley turban.
I'm crazy about what you did with this piece and your moon and stars and dragonflies --Moonstruck paper. I have to get that paper to go with Night Out for the tall cupboards that'll be my china (pottery,) cupboards in my kitchen before I bite the dust. Can't believe you managed to match the coloring of the big moon with the small ones PERFECTLY. Funny this was your Sunday video because Monday night we'll see the Super moon together with the Blue Moon, a rare occurrence. The moon will be HUGE. It was almost full last night, Saturday. So nature is in synch with your art. That's cool. Hi Daisy. Nice to meet you.🤗 Thanks for helping your Mum for us for the Sunday fix. 🙏 Welcome back Marty, glad your safe and sound after 9 hours of driving after 1 hour of sleep🙄 Hope the car is at least a 1956 Pink Buick. What would you say to letting Lel decoupage and paint one of the cars? Marty?...Marty??....MARTY!!!! Get up off the floor! So it was a bad idea.😂 Thanks everyone. Great tutorial. And thanks Eddie. Your little doggy presence added the perfect touch. 😘
Just a quick immediate comment that I had to post right away. I anticipated that you were going to do a piece with your new decoupage paper, and I was hoping that it was this paper you'd use. After watching your reveal this finished project stood out the most to me. I was thrilled to see you post the one I wanted!!! Lucky day!
I was so impressed how quickly you painted the larger moon, it was effortless for you. I know I would have had to rework it over & over to try to have it look nearly as good as yours. 'Space' is a beloved theme of mine, so a piece with moon, stars, night sky, and pattern will always excite me. Where-oh-where are you able to find such lovely and inexpensive pieces of vintage furniture? In my 'neck-of-the-woods' old furniture is costly, especially if they are in decent shape. Cheap pieces need so much work I have to pass them by. How much money are you willing to pay for a decent piece of furniture??? I'll go up to $100. (gulp) but most are more expensive. I have only found a good piece on the side of the road once and I'm always looking. OH, and that lovely stencil you used, where can I find it online??? I'm always searching for many of the stencils you use without much luck.... Already bought three of your decoupage papers but now I need furniture!!! And I need to let go and finally go gray. It is starting to look ridiculous for someone my age to have perfectly dark hair until my roots reappear in about a week's time - OY! I used to go to the salon, but decided it was just getting too expensive. And time consuming. But if I do get the courage to go gray I think having a hairdresser start me going lighter will help me take the plunge... You are brave to go 'cold-turkey'!
Hi-- I was thinking it might be easier to get the browner color on the big moon with a glaze. Although you can dilute the chalk paint a LOT. You just have to keep it from dripping. Don't ask me how to manage that😂. I don't know where you live, but I have the same problem with furniture in Italy. Crazy prices. Truly insane because Italians--or I should specify Tuscans-- think they're still living in the splendiferous Renaissance 🙄. In addition, much of the furniture is ugly, huge and extremely ornate. I got a couple of pieces from a restoration site, but the work required to repair the chest of drawers will be mind numbing. The previous owner covered the holes with tape.🙄 I've decided to focus on small pieces. I can get wooden wine boxes for a few euros here. I'm halfway through my first one. I went from red to grey 10-11 years ago. I just kept going lighter and lighter, kind of ashy, which isn't a tone for me, but it almost made the line disappear. I also kept getting my hair cut to get rid of the ashy blonde. Hope that helps. I just couldn't keep doing my roots. My hair is a pretty silvery white. Once when I was in Paris a woman stopped me and asked what brand and shade I used to get that color😂 I'm used to it. You need make-up. I do get bored though and miss the red Good luck with both your furniture and your hair.🤗
@@elenalatici9568 Thank you for your thoughtful advice. Do you miss living in States? I suppose you've lived in Italy so long, it's home to you now. Ever travel back to the US to visit? To NY? If you do, I will make it my business to meet up with you. As much as I'd LOVE to visit Italy, Europe, goodness anywhere overseas, unless I win the lottery I'm stuck. A dream that will never come to pass... If only I had taken the plunge when I was younger and unencumbered to take a backpack and travel for six months. Those were the days when I should have. And my hair!!! It used to be thick! It's thinned out so much it's worrisome. No wonder women cut their hair when they are older. I still have long hair, not quite mid back and I do not want to cut it short. Also, all those hair treatments for growth are quite costly. No, I cannot afford $70 a month and more every month for months and months. I did buy a cheaper hair growth item that people say works, but it will take time to see if it works. Your silver hair sounds beautiful. I imagine a big change after having red hair... Was the red your natural color? Once I finally do go white I'm going to start dying my hair rainbow colors! it will be my chance to just go wild. My husband says he'll move out if I do, but he'll get used to it. Or I'll wear a bag over my head when we are together on the couch ~ haha It would be so nice if our group could do a retreat together. Meet up somewhere, hang out and get to know each other. Yea, and do some art too. A Made by Marley art filled long weekend would be such fun. Nice fantasy. Hope your health is OK these days??? I've had issues of late and it's really gotten my down. Depressing when you just can't do things because you're in pain. But that's another tale I'll leave off right now. But I do hope you are fairing better. So nice to chat. Let's keep it up. More like, I should. Just haven't been myself for many weeks now. (((HUGS))) to you Elena, Sydni
I tend to not pay as I try to save pieces from landfill. When I do pay I try to Keep it to £40 although sometimes I pay up to £100 however that's rare sydni... As for my hair I'm saying I'm going cold turkey but literally I've been trying that for nearly 2 years I end up caving.... So watch this space x
Move over Marty…Film Director Daisy is rocking the studio with sidekick Eddy. Absolutely in love with your Moonstruck creation. This piece feels like a magical midnight stroll. loveLoveLOVE💙💙💙
Absolutely gorgeous! Two of my favorite things - the full moon and dragonflies!!! I have 2 dragonfly tattoos. Daisy did a great job being the camerawoman! Hope you are doing well, Lel and Martyn! Love youz.
Lel, this pattern and color scheme is very dreamy and rich. Just love it! As far as your hair comment, I was where you are a few years back and have embraced my white hair which I inherited from my Grandpa Berry and now wear in his honor! We both were white by our forties but I dyed my hair for years. I literally laughed out loud when you said you have been every color because I used that same exact phrase so so many times! I too was EVERY color.... many times over through the years btw!!!! 😁 Couldn't handle the constant white roots and follow up either any longer though. I think embracing one's beautiful eyes, brows, cheeks and lips with some color, totally offsets any white and keeps that youthful vibrant healthy look! 😊 Loved today's video. Daisy did a great job! Martyn helped finish up with his expertise and fun! Thank you for another Sunday of relaxing enjoyment and I can never get enough of learning your techniques. Your creativity will always be magical to me! 🩷🩷🩷xxx
The paper is beautiful. I love your blue blends the best I think. This piece is just stunning with your hand painted moon and stars. It is over the top but also just enough..which makes you an artist. I am sure Martyn loves his rock like I do. My Mama had a 73 black corvette when I was in high school I the mid 80s. I loved driving that car. I had a vet too, a Chevette which was this ugly little hatch back with no a/c and a manual stick shift. Please know that I have always listen to my music loud enough so that my teeth bleed. It was awesome to have Daisy and Eddie help you out. I love my Sunday mornings with you two.
You have become my new addiction, took me a couple of videos to get used to the accent to understand what you're saying (I'm a pro now) and I'm totally fascinated by your work, your creativity and the results. Thank you so much for sharing all this valuable information
I've been watching a lot of sci fi movies lately, so I was drawn back to watch this 'luna' piece you marvelously created. I just ordered the paper, now to decide what piece of furniture I'll use it on. And of course how to design it. Unlike you, this is where I struggle... I second guess myself, constantly redoing parts I feel aren't working well. Inevitably, I always feel it needs more, but after spending so much time redoing things, I know I need to call it finished. I do hope that it will get easier in with time and practice since it's always a rocky road. I will post photos at some much later date. Off and running...
It really does get easier, I remember when I started always thinking it needed more.... Its okay and natural to second guess however try to trust yourself. I know that's difficult but try hard to tell yourself it's finished.... Much love Lel x
Rewatching this video using one of the papers I bought and love. One viewing is never enough. BUT, I had to stop viewing at 22.21 when I suddenly noticed one of your other completed pieces to the side of the one you are filming... Oh my goodness!!!! It is one you never showed us, another Frida piece. I do believe you hand painted her image surrounded by hand painted foliage and flowers. How I wish I could actually take the time to examine what you created. I have not seen it posted on your website along with your other furniture for sale. If you ever read this comment, I'd love to know more how you made that Frida piece and where it can be viewed. Whenever I can, I save images of your pieces to refer to, and I'd love to add that Frida piece to my collection. Many thanks if you ever do respond.....
Yes I did hand paint it.... And yes it was a commision and it was not on the website. I'm putting a kit together with a template face I've drawn to paint and comes with Stencils but probably not till the new year.... And I read every message x x x
This turned out very pretty and Daisy did a great job! ❤❤❤ I am still impressed that you have the strength to do large pieces Lel😂 I find myself looking for small pieces then I’m mad when I start it and don’t have enough space to create! 😂
Ha ha.... Basically away doing what he wants to do having fun and thinking about his cars, and not bothering with what he should be doing..... A jolly ha ha ga
Wow. That’s so gorgeous. Great job with those fussy stencils. I love the colors, which look like they will age beautifully too! I’m excited about your new papers! Just need a good piece to use them on. What’s a jolly? 😊
You will look lovely with grey hair Lel. What you say about paint also holds true concerning hair color- you can always change it if you don’t like it. 😊
Color your hair a silver/grey color and the transition will be seamless. No “ugly” stage. It’s only hair and it’s only dye. I think it’ll be beautiful!!
Sally often I don't ha ha but this one is to big as the cottage is bursting at the seams... I'm terrible I don't always advertise things and often they are wrapped and packed away and then I remember it didn't go on the website 😂😂😂
Going grey is fine and becoming more and more embraced. Doing a blend would make the transition easier on the eyes and less noticeable. Either strip some of the red (as in a highlight technique) and tone it grey (silver) or the opposite by adding few strips of red onto the existing grey to blend it all together. Your husband likes the red so maybe do the latter suggestion, just do something with the hair 😂
While you are designing your own stencils make some that are narrow that can be used as a border without having to cut up and move so often. Thanks for all you do.
I absolutely love all your decoupage papers but particularly Fireworks, Roar and Beyond boarders. Do you mail to Australia? Or have a stockist here? Also what is the gold paint you use? (not the stamp pad). Ive learnt so many amazing techniques from you already. I particularly love the indian stamping projects but also the decoupage but i learn from all your videos. I look forward to each week. I cant believe youre only at 9k you should be 900k..😊 Thanks Paige
We do but she doesn't carry a lot of the papers if in doubt jyst order from our website www.madebymarley.co.uk It's free shipping. And the hold I buy is called guild Lane gold x
Girlfriend, you're ALREADY grey, the ends are a facsimile! All that dye isn't good for your brain plus think of the extra $ you can save or revert into your craft... ❤ BTW, are you at any point going to show (or offer) the stencils in the 'Box' gift set, I'm like major interested in them but $100 might be a bit much to spend on stencils, but I'm game!😊
I'm not sure what you mean susee? Do you mean my own Made by Marley Stencils.... If you do yes I will probably at some point.... Its just the whole line isn't finished yet I'm still designing the last 2 sets there are 3 A3 in each set....
Oh I'm happy to own it.... And if I had the opportunity to do it not in the public eye it would never have been an issue it's just I am in front of a camera 4 days a week..... Its also the lights
a dream piece, parallel universes, i love it very much
Thanks so much, how kind of you. X

Ive learnt so many amazing techniques from you already. I particularly love the indian stamping projects but also the decoupage but i learn from all your videos.
I look forward to each week.
I cant believe youre only at 9k you should be 900k..😊
Thanks
Paige

Grey hair why not lol
Own your hair grey is just a colour after all
Oh I'm happy to own it.... And if I had the opportunity to do it not in the public eye it would never have been an issue it's just I am in front of a camera 4 days a week..... Its also the lights
I'm 73 and slowly going grey. It's the in-between just wish it would all become one colour. Love the piece you have just finished
