  • Just decided to do a part breakdown on the bike. I'm gonna try to do more videos in this style because I think they'll be easier to digest and just generally more entertaining.

Nice bike you got, I live in the U.K and got the Indian chief bobber dark horse and yeah dropped it down twice now when I first bought it backing up slowly on a slope and just had to let the bike go down slowly, the crash bars protecting everything, it made me learn when and where I park up. Being in the U.K getting mods for the bike is like looking for rocking horse shit I got to shop through Motea in Germany who just love sending me fucking useless harley parts and so many wrong orders I give up on them. I have problems with the back brake lever, I got big feet and wear big boots and I can hardly feel that little lever through the side of my boot so that needs changing. I put the extra comfty seat on which makes the ride better, being old now I got atherites in my left hand so the clutch is being worked on. I changed most of the chrome bolts out to black, got floor boards for my feet, and the back end is much like you have set up, I got a new fairing and that will be fitted soon some other personal bits around the bike but yeah I like my Indian, happy trails bruv.

Beauty touches on your bike, dude. For the shifter and brake pegs, I am looking at some on the Lawless Garage website.

Thanks man! I actually ended up installing the original garage shifter peg and brake pegs a few weeks ago. I also like the footpegs they sell and am debating getting some.

Bike's looking great! Definitely adjust preload before thinking about buying new shocks. You can get the stock shocks to a pretty comfortable level once correctly adjusted to your weight. How do you find the Memphis Shades screen for wind protection? Any buffeting?

Thank you for the comment! The windshield works great for me, I haven’t noticed any major buffeting definitely worth the money in my opinion. Makes cold days and highway rides more bearable

    Cool bike, thanks for posting.
How is Indian for parts and accessories? That's one thing that turned me away from them. (I had and loved my two Victorys, but their catalog was small and the AM wasn't producing bike specific common parts.)

If you’re trying to do actual Indian branded add ons you’re definitely limited. In my experience finding parts that are made by third parties isn’t that bad. Most of the stuff that is made for Indians tends to be made in America or made to order so it’s great quality but just a bit more expensive. The hardest part with that stuff is getting it installed because there’s not a lot of install videos and stuff like that for Indians especially chiefs

@@livid_spider My experience was from while back when I was just trying to get a sissy bar / luggage rack and a bag. Stuff that was so easy to source for most cruisers.

@@SmittyAZ I think it’s definitely gotten easier to get basic stuff like that these days. Dean Speed is my go to for most stuff and that’s actually where I got my sissy bar from. I put some Thrasin Supply saddle bags on the bike recently but those were made for Harley’s so I had to get a bit creative. I made a video on getting them instead
