This system allow a really reliable shifting for gearbox. It doesn't use any rubber band.

The "shifting system" is actually called a stepper

Lego Technic Mastery You can still use round ones and connect a cube to them
so you substituted the rubber with torsion bars
+JTX8000 Not really. There is no part that are bend in this system. I just use rubber connectors to apply pressure on a #2 connector.
I just finished the shifter and sometimes it blocks. It's stopping halfway...
+Nicolas Châteauneuf Il faut bien vérifier que les axes ne sont pas trop serrés. Malheureusement ce problème arrive sur tous les mécanismes de ce genre, mais très peu sur celle à ce que j'ai pu voir.
