40:43 I think you’re missing an important detail in this scene. When Sevika refuses Smeech’s offer to turn over Jinx, she says “We don’t hand over our own people.” That isn’t a Silco-ism, that’s something Vander said in the first arc, or atleast very similar to his sentiment to not hand over Vi to the enforcers. It’s ironic that Sevika is now mirroring Vander in so many ways, especially since we were introduced to her ragging on him for being too weak. Everyone seems to come around to understand why Vander did what he did lol
@@itzhen7032 Nothing is crazy in this show anymore. Fortiche is too good, it's all just casual gameplay for them. Even Jinx is no longer crazy, she is a nice fun person now!
interestingly enough, the first shot of act 2 teaser is Sevika staring at Vander's statue. similiar to Silco reached realization under Vander's statue.
Fun fact sevikas arm is visual representation whos head of zaun at the time , having normal arm when vander was running everything, shimmer blade arm with silco , no arm when no one was ruling barons this may foreshadow jinx taking over zaun , also this makes smeech offering sevika new arm have a bit cooler meaning
Jinx casually hinted that she wont stay for long as the ruler. As she invented a arm with RNGgimmick. Funnily enough she created a Ranged ability gun with melee attacks (sort of how adcs play. Satire) Possibly sevika was meant for that fight game. Also she created that RNG arm that may or may not work in fight. Gettin x3 back to back no effect
@@ItsJustKayaThey could make it like TF where the "rng" is timing-based instead of being purely random. That would entirely defeat the point of the slot machine, but of course rng in any game like LoL would immediately make the character not viable in serious gameplay.
Hold on Necrit. You better see this comment. At 1:16:04 during that conversation, Mel tells here this line "Everything with my mother is a calculated risk" AND SWAINNNN! Has a voice line that says "A calculated risk, is not risk at all" I am high on copium
Me too, since Ambessa appeared in the series I'm hoping they'll show us a scene in Noxus and something related to Swain and the Noxian policies on Piltover. But now that they gave us LeBlanc I don't know what to think.
The Corrupted Hextech in the Hexgate is the Blood that Viktor coughed into the Hexgate in season 1. That why it has the same pattern as viktors corrupted Hextech. thats why it is only that spot
@@Necritit’s a good find, however I think victor only used shimmer after he coughed that blood up. So unless them messing with the hextech “changes him” like heimerdinger noticed, it doesn’t make sense that it’s corrupted blood. However, if it because it’s viktors blood and he’s mutated “all” of him was mutated regardless of where the blood was
it's so sad that everybody's a victim of circumstances, idk about ambessa though ik maybe she wanted to be involved in fear of black rose getting her daughter but she couldn't have done anything anyway on the other hand, I feel like she prolly just wants to take their land and more power. eek.
Crazy how you didn't mention that Vi being left on her knees crying being deserted by Caitlyn at the end of this act, mirrors Powder's scene - left on her knees crying after being deserted by Vi at the end of Act 1.
@@TheEvenstar1993 No, I also immediately thought of that. Its so similar and it happens at ep 3 of both seasons. Both crying because the one most important to them hit them and left them. And as we saw in act 2 teasers Vi goes through a design change just as Powder became jinx, so both are even more similar. Calling that a reach is insane
Caitlyn's computer is actually more likely the Piltover version of what's called a "microfiche", an analogue device used to store vast amounts of information by magnifying documents that have been scaled down usually to 1/25th of their usual size.
Yeah, I also think it's because it was caused by hextech (they even have a blue color). But, when Sevika injects shimmer they get purple, so there's still a chance that hextech and the hecore react to shimmer for whatever reason.
I think the word on the invitation doesn't say "Caitlyn", mais plutôt "Citoyen", which means Citizen in French (and Fortiche is a French studio. Also, 'Citoyen' was a way to address people during and after the French Revolution.
Citoyen is also quite still used nowadays in French vocabulary, especially politics Concitoyen being a way to call someone, when you both are part of the same state, for added French
1:31:03 Ambessa is clearly forcing a war but I think she’s surprised by Jinx every time. When Jinx blew up the council Ambessa ran in legitimately worried about Mel because that wasn’t part of her plan. Then when Jinx’s “Color Explosion” goes off her smile was almost like when you’re playing a game that you’ve played for a long time, and then you find something new to figure out. She’s confident in her abilities to be able to strategize around a threat, but hasn’t seen one as chaotic as Jinx and she’s excited by that.
@ so giving Renni an invite to the memorial to kill her to set herself up as the savior they need isn’t a plan to you? 😂😂 She very clearly has a plan if you’re actually paying attention
1:30:27 I genuinely believe Jinx wanted to go out with Vi in one last glorious suicide attempt. But because of the interference and the bomb being set off when they were no longer in position on the alter, that’s why jinx shouts “it’s not ready yet.” Her suicide was interrupted. If they had both died. That would’ve been like the two of them finally getting revenge on Piltover.
@ why does it not make sense? You don’t hear her voice acting? How she’s closing her eyes waiting to die? She literally on top of the alter. If Sevika hadn’t triggered the bomb early, both of them would’ve been swept up into the grey explosion.
@@jimlight5137 yeah how is dying and killing her sister "getting revenge on Piltover"? LMAO. And she never says "it's not ready yet". You literally made that up.
@ she says “it’s not supposed to happen like this” same thing. Jinx wants to die here. The scene literally mirrors her fight on the bridge with Ekko. Look at how she’s framed how she acts. She’s ready to go out in a blaze of glory. Sending off the grey into Piltover was her final act of vengeance. This is not hard to figure out. Why are you being so stubborn and rude?
@jimlight5137 no, not that the things at all. LMAO. And your story doesn't add up. If Jinx actually wanted this, she wouldn't have brought Sevika and she wouldn't have automated the door opening.
13:35 Wasn't that the point, that the Rune of Inspiration never showed up in the hexcore? And one of Skye's last words was "Everything you do inspires me." She was the rune of inspiration that Victor lacked.
24:33 Rennie's red eye may actually be the result of choking. If you were choked and there's not enough oxygen, this is what your eye would look like after some time. Since Jayce destroyed her breathing mechanismz that would make more sense.
1:36:18 When Ambessa says "wrath must be met with wrath" that could be foreshadowing a possible fight with her and Warwick as Warwick is always referenced as "The Wrath of Zaun".
Tbf. Singed is creating mundo and warwick since season1 And they built both up for a reason. It will happen, it will happen probably at the momment when ambessa achieves her goals. Which then should allow renata do to her thing as the main villain as promised. Before the reveal of ambessa
@@ItsJustKaya Do we have any implication of Mundo? As far as I know he was transformed in a sort of Insane asylum, not by Singed. And Renata is leagues Replacement for Silco, so I doubt she will just randomly appear in act 2, and she was definetly not promised as the main villain, idk where you got that from
17:30 in German they refer to Chipmunks because the German word for it is Streifenhörnchen, which can be translated into "Patrol squirrel." Its just a pun.
just an observation necrit, at 1:24:24 you mention that the hextech anomaly is jumping to sevika's "shimmer scar" while in actuality, that scar was made at the hextech monkey incident, when powder exploded vander and the rest of the family, it took sevika's arm and made that scar too, this specific anomaly seems to interact only with hextech, while the hexcore in viktor is interacting with only shimmer.
Also ekko says in the third episode “ when it rains the undercity gets wet” so it’s cool seeing the councillors shocked face when it starts to rain and he gets wet. Because for once, topside is getting wet. The damage is on topside for once
@@RedRhinestones its a metaphor, when it rains topside, bottom side gets wet. it means when bad things happen topside usually the undercity is the one dealing with the consequences. But now for once topside is seeing the consequences of their actions. which is why the counselor being surprised by the rain works so well. both literally and metaphorically
Interesting to see how Viktor seems almost emotionless on every scene, the only times he shows any kind of emotion, like smiling and crying, is when he sees Sky's hallucinations.
I am not a League of Legends player, and not much I know about the lore. BUT! I do love Arcane and I am more than happy to get more details, explanation, insights of the lore. So keep making long, detailed videos like this. :) Please.
@@sebastit7d Some of the Other things he mentioned are also very obvious but this definitely holds some meaning for act 2 so I was confused as well as to why he didn't reference it. But tbf its easy to miss a detail like this when already searching for so many others
@@joedeza9646We literally know nothing about this character, I hope they explain something about his past in act 2 or the individual introduction they gave him in chapter one wouldn't make sense. I don't think he's a filler character tho.
1:24:19 Sevika's scars are infused with the shards of the crystals used in the monkey bomb. I believe that was what was reacting with the hexgate core anomaly, much like the others' weapons.
Singed's burn mark was quite fresh; this is EXACTLY after episode 3, where he went AWOL for a while and when we saw him again he had sth like Ww already made.
I feel like The Grey having a face like that is a reference to Fiddlesticks considering how much people fear it. It even looks like Fiddle's scarecrow face at points.
Considering Victor's new powers and how he transformed the guy in the sewers Also considering that Singed's story will most likely be about his daughter And considering the strong connection between these characters.. ..I'm starting to see how exactly Arcane version of Orianna will be "created", and it's intriguing
Especially since we know that Victor treasures Singed I can totally see Singed go to Victor and ask for something in return for the help he gave him. If Victor really goes down the Robotic route his metal/magnetic abilities imply this would be amzing
I think people enjoy long formats, at least I do, in the end it is an extensive discussion on a topic that we all love. Please don't make it shorter, it is so cool to hear you talk about this stuff! Great video, like always!
I also think Jinx saying "watch it all burn" could be a reference to Silco telling her "they can all burn" because he didn't want to give her to Piltover. Now, even though it's for a different reason, the deal with Piltover was not made, so what's left is to watch it all burn
49:22 I actually think the head in the cloud is a reference to Fiddlesticks since many in Zaun fear the grey and Fiddlesticks is a demon of fear it’s a clever way of showing just how much people fear the choking smog that is the grey.
Those who grew up in the past have already “adapted” to the grey. These new barons came around after the ventilation was installed. And is why they don’t have any resistance to it.
@@LowKeyJadedIt makes sense, Vander and Silco were born and raised in Zaun, I don't know if you agree, but in the memory of Vander's betrayal, the two look like sailors, they were probably dockworkers before the whole technological advancement craze even arrive in Zaun. It's a shame we don't know more about these two great characters now that they are practically no longer "alive".
You missed to mention. When the Enforcers show up to try and capture Jinx on episode 2, the Grey takes the shape of Fiddlesticks' face BECAUSE Jinx is afraid.
Necrit, awesome video I totally missed the “kindred circle” in that scene. I’ll trade with something you didn’t mention, regarding “To ashes and blood” (the song playing during the fight at the end of ep3). They oddly have the lyrics mistranslated in the show where you mentioned “uncomfortable” he is actually saying “does it make you a god now”. This however isn’t the actual interesting thing going on with the song, the chanting is an ancient shuriman prayer to Jan’ahrem!! “Beyond these walls, the storms fury grows Over land and sea, the storms fury grows But I have nothing to fear! For the blue bird is with me”
Caitlyn wasn't going to miss, Jinx was going to die, but Isha would have ALSO died, as her head was on the other side of Jinx's. Caitlyn was off the rails, blinded by rage and fueled by revenge. One of the First rules taught about firearms is "know what is behind your target". Bullets do not stop when they hit something, as we see with the 8+cm think steel plate Caitlyn just shot a hole clean through. Vi actually saved Caitlyn by stopping her, moreso than her sister. Vi wasn't as concerned about her sister as she was about Caitlyn going so dark as to be willing to deliberately fire knowing that collateral death to a 5(?)ish year old child would result. Caitlyn would never recover from that, and Vi would never be able to distinguish Caitlyn from the Enforcers who killed her parents.
exactly, even then if you use a irl situation where a kid was involved in a police situation, would a police officer get reprimanded for being reckless with a kid involved? if so then there should be no debate that Vi saved cait from becoming a worse person.
Then why didn't Vi take the kid away? She has hands the size of her whole body. And she was already swinging down so very much ready to knock out Jinx at least. But then Isha flashes to body block.
@doxkowalski915 BC the appearance of a kin in an environment like that was a surprise. It was in the heat of the moment and Vi tried to stop the potential murder of a kid.
Great vid! Tho u missed Viktor’s cane immediately changing as soon as he picked it up + becoming more like a staff in the later scene with him. Cheers!
Honestly surprised he didn’t mention it :c also the “she won’t get away again!” In her clearly mentally strained voice as she aims at BOTH their heads… like so easily could’ve killed both as the best possible outcome the shot could have
@@kylebuonomo2557I was hoping for that. Isha seems mostly like a plot device/walking metaphor for the Powder from the past. It could be that they're gearing up for Jinx to at some point lose that innocent childe AGAIN and going crazy AGAIN. And I'm still annoyed Vi didn't just pick her up and away from Jinx to clear the shot or even arrest her.
@@prettygreenbud She was swinging down at her head, with the atlas gauntlet. If Isha did not teleport, that hit would have done serious damage. It seemed to me like Vi was determined to end Jinx for the sake of everyone, like it's her responsibility for putting her on that path, at least partially.
@ I mean that’s my point tho, cait was so blinded by rage and completing her mission that she wouldn’t even register the child being there as a problem or complication so she wouldn’t give go any time to actually give her a clean shot 🫤
I agree that Caitlyn most likely wouldn't have missed, but I think the point is even stronger portraying her going too far in her rage or in seeking revenge, she would've 100% shot Isha too if the bullet didn't conect with Vi's gauntlet, not only was Isha's arm right in the middle of the lens of the scope but even if she moved it towards jinx's head the bullet would have more than likely go through Jinx and hit Isha's head too which was right besides Jinx's head. And I think that's the point she was ready to shoot a completely inoccent kid if it meant finally killing Jinx. Showing how much is she willing to go just to have her revenge.
I feel like Vi pulls out of character in that moment though. Given her reaction to Jace accidentally killing a child in S1E8 when they were on a mission to destroy Shimmer production, I don't fully understand why Vi cares if Isha dies or not given the threat level Jinx imposes. She was quite ready to see more Zaunites (even children) suffer/die if it meant removing the overall threat by the end of S1. Now in S2, after they've unleashed the harmful, poisonous Grey all over Zaun in pursuit of Jinx, Vi suddenly has a heart toward this unknown child who was a hair's breadth from putting a bullet in her forehead?
@@wowza1321 To be fair, destroying the Shimmer production had the greater purpose of helping all of Zaun, that thing was causing a lot of problems to people, whereas hunting down Jinx is more of a revenge plot. Vi is trying to do the right thing and fix the issues between Piltover and Zaun to avoid a full on war, just like Vander taught her. I don't think it's entirely out of character for her to draw the line at hurting Isha there, she was already unhappy with the plan, there were plenty of scenes where she shows how displeased she is with how Caitlyn's acting. I also think Vi is acting out of concern for Cait moreso that the kid. Caitlyn a few episodes ago would never dream of endangering/sacrificing an innocent person to achieve her goals.
@@wowza1321 also if you watch the scene where the kid dies in s1 it was the same as cait where her rage was clouding her judgment you can even see that after Jayce leaves she watches the kid and her expression changes.
I do believe the Gray being pictured as alive is really just a metaphor. It's a monster that kills. It's just air, but not any kind of air. Pretty cool to foreshadow how bad the Gray is! And I object on the nobody cares about Finn's death. It takes them a split second to go ":o" but they do. Margot stops filing her nails, Ranni's eyes get a bit wider, and the yordle's hand also change their position so he can see better where Finn was. edit: People... The Grey is shown as a monster in the records, yes, but also, please consider that WE the audience are also seeing those same records. It's a perfect example of "show don't tell" directed to US. They show us that the Grey is a monster so that they don't have to tell us that it's deadly. It's not literal.
@@vicarious_gaming Exactly my thought, I think they might at least hint to him like they did with the rat and twitch. Maybe the gray breaks into singeds Lab, which is what frees warwick and some of the gray gets mutated by something there to become Zac or something.
You say at 48:20 the shimmer addicts think viktors body is valuable but is very cleary shown that it's the gold/metal staff that peaks their interest. There is a close-up on it and it shines and also the stomping of the staff on the ground makes them react as an audio cue as well
I think Vi calls them the “peanut patrol” because ‘peanut’ is a word used for the lower class in English (‘peanut gallery’ in theatres being the cheap/worse seats, and many other phrases people make up including peanuts/peanut shells are meant to mock the poor people - like in the greatest showman lol); so the enforcers are the “peanut patrol” because they patrol the peanuts (poor people/zaunites)
1:24:30 those aren't shimmer scars they are scars from jinx's then powders monkey explosion where she also lost her arm. So maybe the anomaly latches on the hextech particles embedded in Sevikas skin
When you mentioned the Caitlyn's potential Ionian heritage, I was looking at the trees and thinking how much they looked similar to the trees frequently shown in Ionia with white bark and red leafs.
I think Smeech was attacked by Cait group at Margot's House, because he looked really absent in the meeting (like he is thinking about a certain deal with enforcers ) and ask for exactly what want cait with a wanted poster : jinx (which looks like the opening of ep 3 where they are interrogating with the wanted poster). It can highlights that cait is more and more brutal in his behaviour, and it is also the sentences of the song (making friends with my demons)
But Ishas head was directly behind Jinxs head as Isha was hugging her. I think the hexttech weapon would have just killed them both. We can see impact holes the size of baby heads when Caitlyn used it. Also Vi is probably so hesitant bc of the child Jayce killed?
Why is everyone always going on about Zhonya's Hourglass when the Locket of the Iron Solari activates a spherical aura with subsequent shield layering?
Because the locket wouldn’t create the effect needed to protect her from a blast like that. She wasn’t just protected. She was entirely unaffected y the explosion. Literally only zhonyas is an item with an ability like this. Also the Locket is literally a locket. Something she isn’t wearing. And a noxian related woman having a religious artifact of another nation is weird. If it’s locket it becomes a plot hole. So that’s why no one guessed that. Because it actually doesn’t make sense
@@SH1NK1R01 Wow! So Zhonya's item is actually Piltoverian! However, Zhonya only protects the wearer, not the surrounding area. The only thing is, Bard could have appeared and quickly ulted Mel and Jayce, but where would Bard have come from? The Locket could have been implanted in Mel's body either by her mother or her Black friend from the Council - Shoola, who has clear genetic links to Shurima.
@@SH1NK1R01Mel COULD be a mage, just because someone from riot said we will get another arcane champ that’s a mage. Mel wasn’t all sunshines and rainbows growing up she had to have had at least some training, if it’s magic, maybe.. She looks too skinny to be a fighter like her moms..
@@RikTaa Or, yeah, that's another possibility. Mel could be a mage, or even a Targonian chosen one. Either way, she's a potential champion, and leaks suggest she'll have a skill that temporarily uses Lux's W shield icon.
Mel s ability should have some connection to the Ambessa cinematic. Considering Ambessa got hit in the stomach and Mel survived because of her ability and theres a baby mel frame where her eyes glow in the cinematic too
Maybe another cool detail: the leaves of the tree from ekko are similar to Gingko trees, the oldest trees on earth. They’re a very weird natural phenomenon where they’re neither normal leaf trees nor pine trees, they’re an entirely different thing. The Gingko trees are also the oldest tree species on earth. Maybe a cool detail! I really liked it.
One of the very first bottles on the ground in Vi's first scene under the bridge looks like a Jack Daniels bottle. Maybe the animators were inspired by real life bottle designs. 11:41 the one on the left
1:24:33 It’s actually the “hextech” scar caused by the “monkey incident” in season 1, you can see it’s still glowing blue on Sevika’s face ever since. The glitch affects the hextech weapons first because they are filled with hextech runes and gemstones, that’s why Vi and Cait’s weapons got affected immediately while Jinx’s weapon, which has less runes, got glitched a few minutes later. And finally the scar got affected bc there’s still some hextech magic left in it.
1:28:58 “I think Caitlyn knew she would hit only jinx” even in that frame ishas head is directly behind jinx’s. The whole first 2 episodes since cait got her gun they emphasized the fact whatever the bullet hit had a big hole left in its tracks and the bullet kept going. There’s parts earlier where Ishas head is even infront of jinx’s and cait still goes for the shot but even if vi didn’t block the shot the bullet would go through jinx and right into ishas head too :/
Still believe the gold flash is actually locket of the iron Solari. There are way too many references to the Solari in Ambessa and Mel's different pieces of jewelry, clothing etc. And it would make sense why Jayce was fine, because locket of the iron Solari shield nearby allies. Also it might be the reason Leblanc is after Ambessa, as she's hunting powerful artifacts to fight Mordekaiser with and Ambessa may have quite a few considering her guard also had the Kaenic Rookern
27:27 Back in season 1, Caitlyn mentioned her great grandmother was a pirate, and with all the ships in the background of the leftmost painting I'm inclined to believe that's indeed the kiramman matriarchs over the generations
Since Fortiche is a french animation studio the Lobster on the bottle at 18:10 could be a reference to a famous brand of alcohol in france with a lobster on its label, called Duhomard. Also i do think Cait would have killed Jinx and Isha at the end as her shot are really penetrating and both their heads are aligned so i do think she would have killed them both and she might not have taken this into account because of her blindness rage against Jinx.
1:31:47 I know Caitlyn doesn’t think she would miss, but it’s possible to not miss and still hit isha, collateral damage since isha’s head was on the other side of jinx’s
fun fact the tree in the underground ekko area is a gingko tree which exists in real life it has the exact same leaves gingko trees are the oldest living tree species they even existed when dinosaurs walked around and didnt evolve since then
Jayce's "man of progress" mug has quite a lot of screen time during the first act. First when Viktor is still in arcane cocoon, probably showing how he doesn't really feel like a man of progress anymore. And then when he teams up with Ekko next to all the tea cups he used. Note that he uses other cups than the mop mug, therefore he is leaving this ambition in the past focusing on heling Ekko.
27:37 Im surprised that necrit seems to completely miss the classic red trees and white boats in the background that pretty much confirm without a doubt that that pic takes place in Ionia, hell even the bow, which I assume is wood, is white, other than petricide from demacia I’m pretty sure the only other white trees like that we see are in Ionia
Isha was a child laborer for Chross, her hat is the same shape of Chross's goons. It was also Chross's goon that were rounding up their laborers after some off screen chaos presumably caused by Margot as there was a standoff between their goons, and Margot mentions it at the trio of chembarons meeting.
@@TeamLunacyReal We see children's books and Games featuring Teemo in the arcade. Teemo is a notable figure, (probably more of a legend to most as yordles are not that common, and Teemo is stealthy). 3:35 Something also interesting I noticed is that the petals that are used are purple and that when red (Vi’s main color) and blue (Cait’s main color) mix together it make purple, thought it was a neat detail
crazy tiniy detail, I just linked now :the guys that embessa call the local cuisine is supposly seen with a lamb mask with a wolf masked person at his feet. bro this is so fun to watch thank you for the hard work of picking out the tiny frame moments and correlations :,) can't wait for the details on the next two acts
The circle in the council chamber is actually centered on where Jayce's position at the table was, which means Mel got to him very quickly. But it also makes me wonder how Viktor got hit since he was seated just behind and to left of Jayce, which is well within the circle of protection.
@@dazzad1539 I agree, with how the spoon move when Vik got out of the cocoon, maybe Vik's hand and leg somehow got hooked to the rocket and got out of the protection range. But I think that Vik want to end the pain so he ran towards the explosion, because when Vik is awake, he mentioned that he should have died.
There are also small easter eggs in the opening sequence for the show. Even though they are 99% the same for all three episodes, people have found that there are frames inserted in the flashing parts of it. These frames are different for each episode.
1:18:53 one other fun thing to be noticed is that on the drawing of the left pillar, while Jinx painted Vi's face as a demon figure, she still left 3 colorful hearts besides Vi and in her chest. It could be saying that in Jinx's mind, although part of her wants to end Vi and their bond, that good sister who "has a good heart" is still in there somewhere. And it's perhaps one of the reasons why Jinx doesn't shoot Vi when she got the chance when she was standing on the pillar later on.
He reunited the Noxi tribes through conquest, for me he is like Julius Caesar, after his death the Roman Empire began, but in theory he was the first emperor.

Jinx's lil homie is either Ziggs or Teemo...When she saved Jinx the way she holds Vi at gunpoint is way to tactical for a child. Plus all the Teemo Easter egg they have to be preparing us for something..
Im really mad that zeri doesn't appear They introduce new characters that add almost nothing like maddie but they can't add zeri that is very important to all the story
1:24:23 those are not shimmer scars, those are the scars left by the monkey explosion and because it also was hextech in nature, it makes sense it affects sevika
The art truly is insane in Arcane and I love Jinxs' madness and randomness in her creations contributing too the artfulness too. Decisions that before seems unserious, humorous and over dramatic make sense with this crazy genius with the clarity that you get from these details and in-depth vids. After this I can somewhat understand the hours long "Art of Arcane" vids from TB Skyen. Yet wholy hell thats a lot to consume and suffer through. Still can't decide if I wanna watch that?
@Necrit I think it's the other way around. I think Mel's Ability saved her mother's life, because right after glowing in the womb her mother comes back to consciousness. The same happened with Jinx's rocket. Mel Glows and people are saved ;)
There's 1 detail I'm surprised that Necrit didn't mention. But when the council agreed that hextech was to only be a last resort, that's when Ambessa nodded to Rictus and sent him to leave the room, this is likely when he left to give the letter to the chem barron. I believe that was to ensure that hextech would be developed and seen as necessary
I am pretty sure that in season 1 the monsters at 1:19:11 are shown to be monstrous representations of Mylo, Claggor and Vander that Jynx sees in her delusions. I know I am a bit late to the video but as i don't see any comments about this I still wanted to mention it.
Caitlyn's father is always shown to be an unassertive man. He's subservient to his wife, presumably because he married into the Kiramann family. In Cait's flashback, he's only briefly shown in the background showing off a rifle (coincidentally the only time he's seen happy). In S1E8, he stitches Caitlyn up but does not contribute to the conversation between her and Cassandra. He obviously cares for Caitlyn, but is not a very strong person.
The song "To Ashes and Blood" that plays during the Jinx/Vi/Cait/Sevika fight in Episode 3have these chants during the chorus and outro. The lyrics are Shuriman for: Beyond these walls, the storm’s fury grows But I have nothing to fear! Over land and sea, the storm’s fury grows For the blue bird is with me It's meant to be a prayer to Janna and also references The Grey behind her memorial
I call bullshit on "Issha wasn't in danger." Even if Caitlyn landed that perfect headshot on Jinx, Issha's head was right on the other side. She would have killed them both. She just didn't care.
@@terrablaze3387 Yeah, clean shot on Jinx's head and then the bullet would pierce through Isha's head, unless you think that the bullet fired with Hextech technolgy would just magically stop at Jinx's head
I think whatever saved mel saved jayce too, so i think what ever it was has more to do with her own innate unknown powers. Jayce was just as fine as her, but viktor was basically dead, next to them.
1:29:36 but what about piercing? it was shown multiple times and isha's head was directly behind jinx's so if she shoot the kid would die from "AoE" and she fully known that

Necrit is on a mission to beat Arcane's duration time with his own videos and I'm here to support him
i was thinking that... if the 3 episodes are longer in total than this 100 minute video
Season 2 Episode 1-3 are 40:15, 39:30, and 40:05 long (with Netflix logo), so it would take 1:59:50 to beat Arcane S2A1's runtime.
1:56:47 is the current collective Necrit Video Runtime
@@kielpogi8062 But there is also totally 9 minutes of final credits. So Necrits videos are actually longer :D
Welp
40:43 I think you’re missing an important detail in this scene. When Sevika refuses Smeech’s offer to turn over Jinx, she says “We don’t hand over our own people.” That isn’t a Silco-ism, that’s something Vander said in the first arc, or atleast very similar to his sentiment to not hand over Vi to the enforcers. It’s ironic that Sevika is now mirroring Vander in so many ways, especially since we were introduced to her ragging on him for being too weak. Everyone seems to come around to understand why Vander did what he did lol
Isn't it crazy how all the characters who first opposed vander in act 1 all eventually come back around to mirror him perfectly later on
@@itzhen7032 Nothing is crazy in this show anymore.
@@itzhen7032 It's almost like Vander was the best character all along...

Satire)
Possibly sevika was meant for that fight game.
Also she created that RNG arm that may or may not work in fight. Gettin x3 back to back no effect
You can say she's the #1 right hand woman
Underrated literary device analysis
@@ItsJustKayaThey could make it like TF where the "rng" is timing-based instead of being purely random. That would entirely defeat the point of the slot machine, but of course rng in any game like LoL would immediately make the character not viable in serious gameplay.

The Corrupted Hextech in the Hexgate is the Blood that Viktor coughed into the Hexgate in season 1. That why it has the same pattern as viktors corrupted Hextech. thats why it is only that spot

Awesome
This is what I was thinking too!
The scars on Sevikas face arent from shimmer, they are from the arcane explosion Jinx's monkey caused. I think thats why it started hurting her a lot.
yeah it was from the hextech explosion, that's why the scar also turns the same colours as the hextech stuff glitching out and it reacting to it
Yeah, I also think it's because it was caused by hextech (they even have a blue color).

This makes more sense. I’m commenting to boost.

Citoyen is also quite still used nowadays in French vocabulary, especially politics
Concitoyen being a way to call someone, when you both are part of the same state, for added French
A seasoned war veteran tackling The Loose Cannon herself truly is smth
I think the smirk when the grey gets to Piltover is because the more chaos happens, the easier it is to control the government there
Ambessa has no plan. She is just a family lover warrior that running in fear of a absolote powerful witch that killed her son and is after her too

But because of the interference and the bomb being set off when they were no longer in position on the alter, that’s why jinx shouts “it’s not ready yet.” Her suicide was interrupted. If they had both died. That would’ve been like the two of them finally getting revenge on Piltover.
That makes no sense

Singed's burn mark was quite fresh; this is EXACTLY after episode 3, where he went AWOL for a while and when we saw him again he had sth like Ww already made.
Yeh that is definitely what happened. His sick mind is probably inspired to do that when he sees Vander's shimmer mutated corpse lying in the streets
I feel like The Grey having a face like that is a reference to Fiddlesticks considering how much people fear it. It even looks like Fiddle's scarecrow face at points.
This is quite a reach, there is nothing connecting them besides both being feared
Considering Victor's new powers and how he transformed the guy in the sewers
Also considering that Singed's story will most likely be about his daughter
And considering the strong connection between these characters..
..I'm starting to see how exactly Arcane version of Orianna will be "created", and it's intriguing
Especially since we know that Victor treasures Singed I can totally see Singed go to Victor and ask for something in return for the help he gave him. If Victor really goes down the Robotic route his metal/magnetic abilities imply this would be amzing
The Music Box is straight up foreshadowing for Orianna
We might see a prototype Blitz or something, he's a Viktor creation
40:07 If silco use the grey to threaten other chembaron, the scene just make him more badass that he was able to withstand the grey.
You missed to mention. When the Enforcers show up to try and capture Jinx on episode 2, the Grey takes the shape of Fiddlesticks' face BECAUSE Jinx is afraid.
1:24:19 Sevika scars were made by the hextech crystal explosion, they were always blue so that's why the glitch is jumping to it
The scars are made because of hextech, but the shimmer of her mechanical hand are what healed the scars
“Beyond these walls, the storms fury grows
Over land and sea, the storms fury grows
But I have nothing to fear!
THIS
Caitlyn blinded. More Teemo references.
Cheers!
1:29:41 if you pay attention, you will see that isha's head, and jinx's head are in the same spot, meaning that a headshot will land in a doble kill
@ I mean that’s my point tho, cait was so blinded by rage and completing her mission that she wouldn’t even register the child being there as a problem or complication so she wouldn’t give go any time to actually give her a clean shot 🫤
dont think you need to shorten this type of video for Act 2 and 3 review. this is super details and i love every seconds of this video :)
Thank you!!! So many people didn’t recognize this. She was ready to kill Isha along with Jinx.
Disagree, she could have missed, she shot jinx finger off because she missed her head
I don't know if it was intended, but the theme of drunk VI is reminding me of the jack sparrow drunk theme.

Insane details. The place where Mel stood when the rocket hit, still intact... wow. And I barely started the video xD

The whole first 2 episodes since cait got her gun they emphasized the fact whatever the bullet hit had a big hole left in its tracks and the bullet kept going. There’s parts earlier where Ishas head is even infront of jinx’s and cait still goes for the shot but even if vi didn’t block the shot the bullet would go through jinx and right into ishas head too :/
Damn Necrit, 1h39min! The arcane Gods has really blessed us.
Viktor has blessed us

Still believe the gold flash is actually locket of the iron Solari. There are way too many references to the Solari in Ambessa and Mel's different pieces of jewelry, clothing etc.
And it would make sense why Jayce was fine, because locket of the iron Solari shield nearby allies.
Also it might be the reason Leblanc is after Ambessa, as she's hunting powerful artifacts to fight Mordekaiser with and Ambessa may have quite a few considering her guard also had the Kaenic Rookern
kaenic is a good item into morde tbh
Only thing is Mel's outfit doesn't leave much room for the locket. Her tattoos could be a variation on the Solari magic that the locket is based on
27:27 Back in season 1, Caitlyn mentioned her great grandmother was a pirate, and with all the ships in the background of the leftmost painting I'm inclined to believe that's indeed the kiramman matriarchs over the generations
1:31:47 I know Caitlyn doesn’t think she would miss, but it’s possible to not miss and still hit isha, collateral damage since isha’s head was on the other side of jinx’s
fun fact the tree in the underground ekko area is a gingko tree which exists in real life it has the exact same leaves
gingko trees are the oldest living tree species they even existed when dinosaurs walked around and didnt evolve since then
Jayce's "man of progress" mug has quite a lot of screen time during the first act.
I thought she was wearing teemos hat?
@@TeamLunacyReal We see children's books and Games featuring Teemo in the arcade. Teemo is a notable figure, (probably more of a legend to most as yordles are not that common, and Teemo is stealthy). The girl probably decorated her hat in Teemo fashion. But now she is meeting a real-life contemporary legend. Jinx will become her new idol.
@@TeamLunacyReal Would really be funny if it WAS Teemo wearing a glamour. (I don't believe that as Teemo didn't use glamours in Lore, but the Donger did)
teemos mushrooms are related to zaun somewhere in the past if I remember correctly
@@-B-HuynhTriNguyen I am sooo ready for Teemo to show up, but probably not in Arcane, perhaps when the do a Yordle season.
Cute easter eggg, I also was in shock to hear the kindred champion music when she talk to mel before climbing on the ship with him for the first time. Now , that is some crazy foreshadowing haha
bro this is so fun to watch thank you for the hard work of picking out the tiny frame moments and correlations :,) can't wait for the details on the next two acts
The circle in the council chamber is actually centered on where Jayce's position at the table was, which means Mel got to him very quickly. But it also makes me wonder how Viktor got hit since he was seated just behind and to left of Jayce, which is well within the circle of protection.
Yeah, that one detail bothers me too.
I thought he acted as a sort of magnet for the damage from the hextech weapon because he's infused with it
@@dazzad1539 I agree, with how the spoon move when Vik got out of the cocoon, maybe Vik's hand and leg somehow got hooked to the rocket and got out of the protection range. But I think that Vik want to end the pain so he ran towards the explosion, because when Vik is awake, he mentioned that he should have died.
1:27:15 Caitlyn also has a voice line in League where she says “I never miss” when shooting her ult
1:36:59 A fun tidbit is that the noxian salute seems to be a reference to Mordekaiser's W ability in LoL
Which makes sense Morde has a lot of ties to Noxus.
@@FSUMercerianbasically built noxus big castle thing. Godfather of noxus, before noxus??
@@FSUMercerian he IS the tie. champions have ties to him, he ties to no one.
He reunited the Noxi tribes through conquest, for me he is like Julius Caesar, after his death the Roman Empire began, but in theory he was the first emperor.
Such an incredible video Necrit! So many details, thank you so much for easing the wait every week with your incredible content!
technically 1:26:57 Misha's head was behind jinx (altho 1:27:11 kinda looks different from the shot/wide angle ) so it would be a double kill
Yeah, it pretty clear that Cait was going to kill both of them.
Please never shorten the duration of the video and cut out content. I really appreciate these long deep-dive videos.
Listening to Necrit gush about Arcane for over an hour is exactly what I needed today
In 3 videos you have become my favorite youtuber. First the Ambessa cinematic video, then the chosen of the wolf skin line video and now this one. Idk how ive never found your channel before but i love the way you explain things
All I want is for Viktor to build Blitzcrank. It’s probably not gonna happen though. There’s still hope for Zac or Ziggs to show up
Jinx's lil homie is either Ziggs or Teemo...When she saved Jinx the way she holds Vi at gunpoint is way to tactical for a child. Plus all the Teemo Easter egg they have to be preparing us for something..
Legends of Runeterra made Ziggs related to Shurima rather than Zaun i believe
@@Edujs23 Zaun was Ancient Shurima in the past
Im really mad that zeri doesn't appear
They introduce new characters that add almost nothing like maddie but they can't add zeri that is very important to all the story
@@alphaca66 Zeri is not important.
Season 1 had a scene where Viktor's blood dropped down somewhere, maybe that corruption is caused by his blood.
In Brazil, calling someone a banana is the same to call them a clown
7:57 It's the great family of General Motors of course
@Necrit
I think it's the other way around.
9:17 pretty sure these sigils were used in the point and click Ornn game from a few months ago. THey appeared on the bookshelf puzzles
I am pretty sure that in season 1 the monsters at 1:19:11 are shown to be monstrous representations of Mylo, Claggor and Vander that Jynx sees in her delusions. I know I am a bit late to the video but as i don't see any comments about this I still wanted to mention it.
I wish the father of Caitlin played a bigger role in her grief rather than just, "it's your legacy, go forth"
He is the kind of father who is your friend and is kind of funny, but when there are problems calls mom and doesn't know how to tolerate pressure.
"Better ask mom"
The song "To Ashes and Blood" that plays during the Jinx/Vi/Cait/Sevika fight in Episode 3have these chants during the chorus and outro. The lyrics are Shuriman for:
Beyond these walls, the storm’s fury grows
But I have nothing to fear!
Over land and sea, the storm’s fury grows
For the blue bird is with me
It's meant to be a prayer to Janna and also references The Grey behind her memorial
I call bullshit on "Issha wasn't in danger." Even if Caitlyn landed that perfect headshot on Jinx, Issha's head was right on the other side. She would have killed them both. She just didn't care.
Nah, Caitlyn had a clean shot.
@@terrablaze3387 Yeah, clean shot on Jinx's head and then the bullet would pierce through Isha's head, unless you think that the bullet fired with Hextech technolgy would just magically stop at Jinx's head
51:24 Fun fact: Jinx's eye color is called Red Violet, and the lighter shade Vi has now is called Powder Blue.
Mel's back "tattoo" and the circle on the floor tells me it's more like a "Locket of the iron Solari" situation, rather than a Kindred ult.
I think whatever saved mel saved jayce too, so i think what ever it was has more to do with her own innate unknown powers. Jayce was just as fine as her, but viktor was basically dead, next to them.
1:29:36 but what about piercing? it was shown multiple times and isha's head was directly behind jinx's so if she shoot the kid would die from "AoE" and she fully known that
that's exactly what i though, Isha's head is just behind jinx's so if a bullet can pierce metal i don't think jinx's head would have stopped it...
@@quentintheret5106 @Necrit ?? 👀
@quentintheret5106 also just seconds ago everything related to hextech was really unstable and she had no way to know if it would happen again
Yeah, Vi just don't know if she will launch Q or R
1:05:38 Caitlyn still knows more than jayce bc she knows that
- they tortured vi
- there is heavy isolation
- inmates fight all the time
and that makes it even more impactful in my opinion because she knows somewhat how horrible it can be there yet she still sends an unassuming man to Stillwater.
