Marisha and Taliesin are an underrated duo.
I love that Liam's laughter got him so bad that he couldn't even lean back to disappear into the laugh dimension he usually drops into :P

Tal and Marisha have a good friend connection. Several times throughout the campaign they improvised things at the same time that worked out like this. There was one time when Tal went to knock on a door so he did it in the air and Marisha knocked on the table....the same knock, in unison.

Talesin and Marisha are scarily in sync with each other and always have been. I no longer understand why anyone was surprised at their impromptu 'Shave and a Haircut' knock occurring simultaneously.

Vex (and Laura IRL) took psychic damage when Grog said he'd take 2 bottles.
It was also really funny to see Travis IRL have a brain freeze as he thought "only a moron would pay that much" before Grog ordered a pair of bottles.

Grog's Two. Very. Deliberate. blinks as his brain cells scream and thrash to bring out the phrase, "I'll take two"... It kills me. Followed by Laura's shocked, hurt, physically and mentally assaulted expression... and all that follows. I've not laughed so hard in ages. Thank you for this. Percy Keyleth interactions always brought me such joy and this... this was such a delightful one.
I would have loved some explanation for why Grog was so dumb (if they ever explained it, I missed it and I watched the first campaign from start to finish and have even watched some episodes multiple times just because they're that damn funny. I've theorized that it was brain damage caused by his uncle when he defended Wilhelm back when Grog was still roughly an early teen, because when we meet his uncle, see see that Grog's people are not dumb as a species trait, but Grog himself is dumb as a bag of hammers.
I like to think Travis knew that this would be a good RP moment from the others and chose to slightly piss Laura/Vex off by getting two for that exact reason.
Kryptonian Cowboy intelligence is a dump stat for grog
@@Falcun21 His Intellegence is 6 if I remember correctly and that possibly might of been reduced to by 1 at some point.
That's why early on in the Underdark he had his INT Score drained so quickly by the brain dog.

You can tell that they've been friends for a long time because they can play off of each other improvising as they play their characters. The fact that Talesin and Marisha just synchronized answering the questions without even thinking is so funny in that moment.
I love watching Talisons face when he roleplays. He's so expressive. He and Marisha play off eachother so well.
Vax is such a worrier. “Oh- Keeeey! D:” “Can you hear me? Are you alright?”

More people need to pay attention to Taliesin, I feel he is the most underrated on critical role.

No, no he's not underrated...at least from my standpoint. He has got his RP on every time he sits down at the table. Him and Liam are usually spot on, and rarely deviate from character. It's usually Laura and Sam that are disruptive to the narrative, but in a funny way.
Percy was legitimately one of the best D&D characters I think I've ever seen, and Taliesin played him PERFECTLY!
@@hakulives2613 I would love to see this on The Legend of Vox Machina if it ever gets to a Chroma Conclave season. That classy, sexy, animated Percy just WASTED on bug juice.
My reaction to Percy first speaking post drink was "He has become comfortably numb" and I am proud that my brain came up with that on a second's notice.
These are some of my favorite moments, when Keyleth and Percy are more in sync than the TWINS!
I literally passed out laughing when I watched this for the first time. Tal and Marisha are are so in sync it's scary.
They are an awesome pair of friends. I've gotten so many laughs from just watching the two of them.

Yeah, I know how you feel. Sometimes it feels too coincidental, but this is Dnd, anything can work if you can imagine it and these guys are high level improv actors who know each other so well, they can riff off each other for eternity. Grog's one-shot has the most examples of that occurring.
I was crying I laughed so hard the first time this aired. Thank you for uploading, this is one of my favorite moments.

Rewatching this after having dental work done: I've come to the conclusion that Sandkeg's Hide is just lidocaine. Thick, tastes nasty, numbs on contact, and will fuck you up!

The party i DM for (none of them watches CR) just killed an ankheg and decided to create a cocktail that includes its acid.
Goes to show that great chaotic minds think alike. As a DM i'm superproud they decided that getting high and shitfaced instead of coating their weapon with the acid was obviously the best thing to do.

Alura *did* show some signs of being affected by it about 5 minutes later. She got a sudden lisp and couldn't pronounce her "S"s. Then she promptly took her leave to keep up appearances. So I think she rolled a 19 or something close. Pike rolled a nat 20 and felt nothing at all. Then rolled a nat 1 on the second and instantly face planted into the table. I'd like to think the first one finally caught up with her as she downed the second.

In the middle 1980s some time a Swedish con, BorCon, had a guest: Harold Johnson from TSR. He held a lecture on building stories for adventures, I played some kind of Chess-like board game with him (new from TSR) and later he ran a show play session with Swedish volunteer players.
One of the players tried to buy some strong drink, much like in the video. After some negotiation, the barkeep reluctantly produced a bottle of ... "Beerpess". It wasn't 350 gold, at least: "Uh ... you can _have_ it."
No one wanted to drink it, as it smelled like "#%@$. The other players were a bit sore about the waste of time. Close to an hour later, when the party was homing in on the destination, they tried a backdoor mountain path. Only, it was guarded by a burly goblinoid. The first player moved ahead while the others were planning, and he voiced his sympathy for the guard. Maybe the guard would accept this bottle of alcohol as a friendly gift? "What is it?" "It's called 'Beerpess'" "Oh! oh! I haven't had a drink of real Beerpess in ages!" One quick trade later and the party could proceed to their goal unseen.
This is chemistry on display. Not every actors or performers have that. It is a rare gift to see it.
