Cool things about this:
-Nott's ears twitching and pupils dilating
-Molly's tail twitching when he laughed
-Every frame Beau was on screen
-The lip syncing
-Nott going behind the door
-And Molly subsequently scaring her

Nott's pupils going huge and dark like a cat's when Molly holds up the paper.
Also how Molly's shoulders shake as he laughs at 2:13 or so. Small details that make it grand.
How could she not see the GIANT PURPLE BRIGHTLY COLORED GOD ON THE BED.
He's so flamboyant it comes back around to being hard to notice

She's gotten used to the flamboyancy at this point and it just fades into the background

Will always be funny to me
I just realized that Molly asking Nott to give him something may have very well been a clever way to get to know a bit more about Nott's character. From what I've seen (they're only lv3 right now), Molly's pretty adept at reading people and this seems to fit right in. Also, I love the little touches you gave on the animation of both of them, especially Molly's tail and Nott's ears.

This scene made me really love the Mighty Nein. I stopped and said “this is a scene that probably wouldn’t happen with Vox Machina, “ it was new and hilarious. Amazing animation!
To be fair the scene where scanlan tries to sneak in bed with percy in nothing but a Gstring was gold too.

@@quinnholloway5400 except for all those times Scanlan and Grog tried to steal from Percy's workshop/inventions, eventually succeeding with the guns which gave us the "Grand Poobah" scene
It was sweet of Molly to give Nott back the vial of acid rather than just being all "Hey you traded it fair and square" and keeping it for himself.

Absolute perfection.
Such great verbal comedy Nott & Fjord pulled off, they were just making sounds but everyone animating this scene knew exactly how it was playing out, with him shooing Nott out of the room XD

And THATS the moment that Molly became my favorite
I feel like this was the start of Nott's and Fjord's passive aggressive relationship
I love how you animated Molly patting Nott on the head affectionately. It’s a very Molly thing to do.
I burst out laughing when the contents of the paper were revealed. This entire scene is gold (which Molly wouldn't accept, but it is anyway).
This is one of the best animations i've seen of critical role. Because you first off really did animate it, instead of it being more like a slide show. But mostly because you animated the characters with a good amount of expression and movement, which helped sell the scene and the characters in it.

@@fuckmedude8167yes. Animations show motion, animatics imply motion. Considering the majority of UA-cam artists have jobs / school to do, the majority tend to prefer animatics, since they’re less time consuming.

I love the different ways people draw Nott and Molly. They are two very potentially expressive characters, and I think you did them justice with this animation. I especially like Molly's facial expressions.
Also, Nott is very small in this video. This is not a criticism, it is adorable.

Taliesin is such an amazing vouce actor that Molly's Irish accent is barely noticeable, but you can still tell it's there, especially in this scene.

I love the amount of movement in this. Most youtube animatics have the characters just freeze in place whenever they talk and only move when they need to walk or grab something. Like, I love how Nott shakes her hand when she said "He stands next to Beau" then leans back with her hands out when she finished her sentence. It makes them so much more lively. Little things like that when the characters are just talking makes it actually interesting to watch!

Ahhh it's so cool to watch this process! Also love how it looks like Molly's tail is hitting the ground like you would hit a table or something to stop laughing. And the way you make Nott's mask move to comunnicate speach is really good!

Wow, this is really coming along! I love how Molly's tail twitches when he's laughing. It's a little detail but it's unexpected and expressive. :D Are you going to keep working on this? I'd love to see this with more frames and eventually in full color.
It'd be a lot of work, but I think it'd keep getting even better! I subscribed on a whim when UA-cam suggested your rough, but I wasn't expecting to see this cleaned up so soon. Even if you move to another scene, I hope you keep animating! This is so close to how I imagined the action going, it's wonderful. :D

The mouth movements on this are SO impressive! And when Molly stands up!! And his little pointed tail bounces with his shoulder when he laughs!
Molly’s expressions and mannerisms are WONDERFULLY well done, this is so incredibly entertaining to watch

Honestly. This clip embodies why so many people fell in love with a character that wasn't even around that long.
I love this animation! Molly's chuckle at 1:35 was so good, and the extra little frame on Nott's hand at 0:56 was so adorable! Kinda obscure to point that out, but all of this is too cute!

This is the best thing. Some friends and I are planning on going off of this animation for a live action version. It's actually pretty close to what I had in mind when I first heard the episode. You did a good job on it. Keep it up.

Diego Silva It actually went really well. We did fantastically and got full credit for this. I wish I could link to the video but one of the students never agreed to allow me to do such. Which was kinda sad, but such is life.

Honestly I think Taliesin preferred Molly to Caduceus. He was a much better full of life character and brought a much better warmth to the group. I like Caduceus but Molly will always be my favourite.
Watching this again made me realize that it was this animation that got me into critical role in the first place, thank you for that!

I first watched this way back before I even started watching Critical Role, so at the time I only knew of the existence of Nott, Jester, and Caleb from art I'd seen on tumblr. Saw Molly here and was like "huh that guy seems interesting I wonder who that is" and long story short I'm now here again a few days after crying my little heart out over episode 26 because I wanted to go back to where it all began for me. Thanks for helping to set me on this journey, friend. It's solidly changed my life
