- Jimmy Houston and I are trying to figure out what to do on this stormy, rainy day in southern Oklahoma. I'm staying with Jimmy and his wife, Chris at their ranch and we've been busy all week, fishing and filming several of the watershed lakes in the area. Today is a different day! What can we do?

I’ve been literally watching these old boys on tv for 40 yrs. they’re getting old but it’s good to see em still fishing.
Roland is like a kid on Christmas morning ready to open gifts. He can’t wait any longer lol
You can tell both guys are living a happy life, they both have great set of hair hahaha
I'm 45 I used to love these guys after Saturday morning cartoons. Having cereal with the littles and ninja turtles. Then lunchtime PB&J with bass fishing. I miss you grandpa.

jpdmagic I would like to see the 4 of them with some of the new guys, and have a tournament to see who is best. I bet these guys would embarrass the new guys. But, I bet the new guys would ask questions that lead to some good stories. But, I could see Jimmy not wanting to let the googan squad or similar guys on his property. They are pretty weird.

I'm surprised to see Roland out in the storm since I remember him saying he's petrified of lightening after his grandfather was killed by it. I met Roland in CT back in March before COVID ruined everything. Jimmy, you've got to make your way up north once this pandemic blows over! There's a bunch of people who'd love to meet you! Stay safe.
I hope to see Roland @mohegan in 2021,but I doubt it ,with everything going on,I’m still kicking myself in the butt for not going this year🥺

Positive Suggestion: When it is again "raining cats and dogs" and you both jointly post another "Coffee with Roland and Jimmy", here is what I think would be a great idea. You both brink a big duffle bag to the coffee table. Each takes his turn. You reach in you bag and pull out your favorite 1950s Fred Arbogast Hard Bait, place it on the Coffee Table Top for all of us to see, and you each talk about that lure and its fund memories back in the 1950s. Next, you each reach in your duffle bag and each pull out your favorite 1960s lure (Rapala? Rattletrap? Other?). Get it? Each decade, represented by what you each think was "THE LURE" of the decade. Again, you each only have a minute to talk about that lure. Finally, you reach the 21st century. and you don''t have the BEST LURE yet for 2020 (LOL). Looking forward to you both SHARING QUICK MEMORIES about all your favorites through the decades!

Also, about a new show "Coffee with Roland and Jimmy", like the show "This Old House", Roland and Jimmy could pull out of each of their duffle bags a vintage fishing tool and "make up what that tool was used for ... to see if the audience really knows that that tool is used for in fishing. After Roland and Jimmy toss out a few funny answers... they fess up and let the audience know.

Haha. You guys are fun to watch. At the end you point at the camera and say "there's Pat". That's my name so I was like , "Hey! There talking to me!" I have been watching and learning from these two angling legends since I was 12 years old. I’m 51. So great to see them together just enjoying each other’s company and shooting the breeze. Fishing is definitely their fountain of youth. Tight lines!

I’d love to see a weekly show with Roland, Jimmy, Bill Dance, and Babe Winkleman...all the old-timers. Call it “Old Coots giving Great Fishing Advice”. They could even have Bill fall into the water once or twice! Love these guys I grew up watching as a kid.

I watched a guy pull into the local sportsman’s club. Wait till it started raining, got out with a rain suit and worked the shoreline. He used a hula popper and pulled out big bass all along where we’d just fished. Then it hit me. The rain washes the bugs off the leaves and the fish devour them.

Roland you need a portable battery charger my dad got me one last June it also has a solar charger. With led lantern and flash light. By holding either button. It has a mosquito setting in orange repels mosquitoes 🦟
