I own a scat pack but it doesn't matter if you have a v6 or a hellcat, it's a very nice car. It's better equipped than my scat pack

I’m 17 and my dad bought the this for my first car and bought the sxt cause it was the slowest challenger (relatively comparing to the rest) but honestly I love it so much. Don’t really need a supercharged v8 or whatever cause I don’t race and will never be able to use it anyway plus majority of people on the road arent even car people so they don’t even know the difference. When I drove it to school my friend came up to me a said nice hellcat and I literally had to correct him to say it’s an sxt and he said he didn’t know there were different ones lol

@@khriist not really the dealer where I got my loaded sxt plus, Also had a basic rt and was a lot cheaper then my car it’s all about the options you get on the car tbh. Mine is a 2019 with the white exterior and red alcantara interior and every option you could get and it was very close to the price of a basic scatpack. I’m looking to get a scatpack in 1-2 years though I just need a bit more power not as daily driver though.

Congrats! Don't let anyone fool you....it's not how fast you get there, but how good you getting there. I bought my T/A 392 at the end of May and I'm loving it. Don't worry, if you love this Mopar, when you get older you can get a V8. Hell, I'm 58 years old. Glad to see you didn't talk yourself into a Prius! LOL! Enjoy and drive safe!
I drove one of these last week!! And it was a great experience!! This car is an animal! Plenty of power! I don't know why people hate on a V6. They surely haven't drive one!

That is the best first car ever. I have a 2016 Challenger V6 plus SXT also, and it is very fast! I've added louvers, LED halo lights , and all kinds of good stuff , and it is a beast! I've had it up to 153 miles per hour already, so no shame in the game of the V6, it's an awesome motor! enjoy!
Congratulations man! I just bought a 2017 Charger SXT in Destroyer Grey on the 4th and I'm 19. Not a dollar paid for by the parents, and best of all, I only had to finance about $7,000 of the car. The rest of it was pure savings. I love my baby and you'll love yours, and having your name on the title is just something special. Keep it up bro!

I just bought this car (silver - triple nickel paint color with blackout trim) for my 60th birthday. It is not just a great "first car." This is the type (V6 SXT) I wanted. GREAT car.
And great on gas too! This is my second car at 19, and I’m really loving my f8 green blacktop

Congrats on the car and beautiful color - love it. As someone said - don't apologize for the v6. That sucker has more HP than ANY car in the 80's. I own the '14 100th Anniv Edition SXT Plus and love it. Got the v6 because I'm an old speed freak street racer in recovery. But these cars have drop dead retro styling and a 'usable' back seat. Enjoy the car.

I'm 16 and saved up for a 2010 Camaro V6 and I love it. at a young age, insurance is just too high to be able to afford a V8.

Ramagos My neighbor had a spinal cord injury, and can't really lift or do anything, so I would help him around his house do anything, and basically he'd pay me like 20 or 40 to help move stuff or even more to do his lawn work. I started doing that about 3 years ago, I helped him about every day, and saved it all up. When I got ready to buy my car, I had just under 10 thousand. I found mine on craigslist and it was up for 13, I called the guy and told him I had cash and I was 16 and I bought it myself from him for 10

Agreed - The Mustang and Camaro are sports cars. The Challenger, to me, even in V6 mode, is a muscle car. You can't really compare it since the Dodge is in a different class.
Just subbed 👍🏼 I have a 2014 Challenger V6. You get hate by a few but many more people say nice car than the few that try to make fun of it.
I have an 03 impala. And im definitely getting a 2016 or 17 challenger sxt. A huge bump from my sedan. And since i have 9 points on my license im definitely more than satisfied with the V6 engine the sxt has

i got a used fully equipped 2016 scat challenger with sunroof red seats harmon sound and the big rims. I bought used with just under 35k miles for only 38k 😎 it was owned by an old man who drived it to work so its still like new

That's and expensive first car, if I was always trying to get into 13-14 v6 mustang for like 11,000 but that was impossible for me to save up that much with my schedule so I settled for an 04 convertible mustang gt

Me looking at this video thinking about my 1984 chevy caliver when I was 16 years old. Kids got it so good now, but I know that he said "paid for it myself". Now I got this one and an 2018 rt. Only issue I had is backup camera reading unavailable.
Did u talk about the interest? I down a 2018 challenger $4000 and my interest is 5.19 I had a co-signer. My first payment is going to be on April 14. $538 monthly for 5 years so total is gonna be 36k let me know if I should returned it or nah. But the car has sun roof and the paddle shifter, 8.4 screen

Base price for SXT plus in country where I live is 51500 EUR which is about 59000 USD. So it basically counts as Luxury here :D

Wow ! Trust me man the V6 is a beast it does 6 seconds 0-60 the V8 is overpower full (I have been in a V6 and a V8 !
The Pedals aren't too difficult I did myself bought them for 50$ but the brake one is annoying

Kinda sucks DODGE took away the paddle shifters on the 2016 and 2017 SXT PLUS for some strange reason.
The 2015 SXT PLUS had them on the steering wheel.
I have a 2016 SXT PLUS, Jazz Blue color.
Thank you, Yeah I wish mine had paddle shifters, but you can get them on the SXT Plus it's just a part of the super track pack package now. So you have to get that option in order to get them.

I got a V6 Mustang as my first car and Im a couple years younger than you. And the features you have on yours is what ford offers on the premium packages but they dont offer premium on the V6 mustang anymore. My friend is looking to get a V6 challenger. Love the car and enjoy it.

Hello! First off congratulations on the car, it looks absolutely stunning!!! I have a few quick questions regarding how the car drives/handles and if you would recommend it as a first car to a mature driver. I am also looking to purchase an SXT Plus as my first car and would also be paying it down by myself. How does the car handle in your opinion? I have heard some people say it handles poorly and I have heard others say it is fine. My second question is in regards to the blindspot and if you feel it is a problem. That is also a small complaint I have heard people make. Regardless congrats on the car and have a great day!!!
Mr Ginger Thank you! And it handles pretty well, makes it fun to drive. The blind spot isn't that big of a problem, just got to make sure the passenger seat is moved forward so you can see out the rear side window. If you're worried about it I would just recommend getting the blind spot monitoring system, its part of the driver convenience group, then there's no problem at all.

Thanks, I get 18.5 mpg and I drive mostly city and I idle quite a bit. But when I get on the highway it's been around 25, but I don't have much Highway driving experience with the car yet.

eddie brown Thank you, and it's good, mines only the Standard 6 speaker Alpine Sound system. Comparing it to the base 6 speaker (not Alpine) it definitely sounds more crisp and overall better quality sound, but compared to the 9 speaker Alpine sound system with subwoofer the 6 speaker Alpine doesn't have that real surround sound effect. And I haven't heard the 18 speaker Harman Kardon so I can't compare.

Congrats hey I have a question, how much do you pay for car insurance. For my 2015 dodge challenger I pay $195 a month and I'm 27 years old with no tickets or accidents or any violations of nothing
I pay $221 a month to my parents because I'm on their policy, my car on their policy is $117.14 a month. But I also pay the added cost of me being a driver on their policy (I was added a couple years ago for an additional $104 a month) So I pay the combined price of $221 a month.
