I just bought a 2016 V6 SXT plus. This car is is super luxurious inside. It has every option you can think of, and 305 hp is more than enough for racing around town. Even had it up to 140 mph and it was super smooth even at that speed. I never cease to get compliments on this car. But for sure if your considering this car make sure you get the SXT plus cause it is well worth it. We payed $27G for this car, and also bought a 2017 Honda accord the same week for $30G, and the Dodge blows the Honda away in value, looks and bells and whistles.
self made boss I'm talking about the challenger in general. It looks better than their other models and the build quality seems to be better than other models from dodge and jeep. I'm an Audi guy because their design and build quality are the best in the industry. I would take an Audi over any Bentley or Lamborghini.
Miko BMW look good, but they break down a lot and the interior is kind of ugly. Mercedes is great quality, but both interior and exterior are ugly in my opinion. Audi is the sweet spot in between. Audi offers great build quality and Audis look really good too. The price is about the same as BMW and Mercedes if not a little cheaper. The only only brands that are better than Audi, but I can't afford yet are Land Rover, Porsche, and Lamborghini. I will just stick with my Audi A6 for a few more years until I can get a Lamborghini Huracan.
This is actually the same model and color combo I'm considering, although my target purchase date isn't until the end of next year. Just got the wife a new Subaru Outback last year so have to save up again.
Leased a loaded SXT Plus (leather, 20" rims, etc) for $185 a month, $400 down, 2 years. That 305hp V6 coupled with the 8spd AT is amazing. I came out of a 15 Mustang GT, 6 spd manual that had worse visibility, gas mileage and utility (back seat was worthless). I routinely achieve 25mpg in mixed city/h'way driving and from zero-to-speed-limit performance it's up there with the V8's.
I just think they spec'd it right. All the features you get. The LED lighting, the V6 engine, 8 speed auto, U Connect system, the wheels. I'm sure these are easy to deal on too. I like V8s as much as the next guy but for me insurance, gas milage etc would be too much for me. The V6 would be plenty.
$30k does not seem that bad at all for this car. And 295 horses should be plenty, in fact anything bigger could shred itself over a long enough timeline I would think. Does it have blind spot detection? That would be nice considering how hard it appears to be to see out of. LOVE the retro speedo and tach!
I don't find it hard to see out of at all. Some people complain about there being a blindspot where C pillar is but it doesn't bother me whatsoever. I grew up driving late 70's and early 1980's coupes with opera windows and big blindspots, so this car's supposed blindspot is nothing in comparison
SXT plus is pretty decent, you get leather seat, upgraded speaker and so on. The 3.6 is not bad motor, they should either make R/T a base model in challenger line or put a turbo in that V6.
Great comprehensive review. I drove the 2018 Challenger SXT this week and loved it, although the SXT Plus in your video is spec'd way nicer. Would love to drive one like this with AWD.
My 2016 (Auto) Chally SXT is a 3,800-lb. workhorse. With my ass in the seat, that pushes it to over 4,000 & the V-6 is *no* slouch. Some of these commenters have never taken one of these for a spin on the open hwy. From 0-60, it will push one back in their seat, (even while not being the V-8). Then, with a slight tap on the fuel, 40-60 is a CAKE WALK for quick passing & then on to 80 & 100 is effortless. From Denver into the Rocky Moutains, fully loaded with luggage, a cooler, etc. - - this bad boy attacked the hills AND the hair-pin turns. It was even hungry at over 10,000-ft.! So, for those who think that this "little" V-6 is underpowering "such a heavy vehicle", they need to STFU until they've strapped their own ass in one & take it for a DRIVE. Also, unless they're just trying to hate on the Challenger, they will be equally as surprised to see that this beast handles great & can corner like a son of a bitch as well! In essence, their opinions don't mean squat if they haven't even driven one. I picked this V-6 over the 2 V-8's I had test driven - - as well as over the new Camaros for multiple reasons & I definitely made the right choice.
Sounded like the reviewer kept bashing this car before saying (at the end), "it's a good choice for a muscle car". But it also sounds as if he's only basing this on models with a V-8. Did you even run this V-6 through the motions or did you just take it for a drive around the block? How about the highway, did you even try to really open her up? Have you sat in one of the newer Camaros? I.M.H.O., there's no comparison. Sorry pal, your review was 1/2 assed at best & at times, contradictory.
Concepts If you're not gonna be street racing then I assure you, get the V6. I modded mine with Flows & cold air intake and it sounds awesome. The fuel economy works for me but to each his own.
Dont let the v8 fanboys over hypy you this thing moves with the 3.6L trust me I have a GT and I get 6.0 0-60 no amazing but for a v6 Naturally aspirated thats great
Paddle shifters and power tilt steering wheel are in the "super sport track " package which is worth it! Enterior is NOT just ok, it is a far more superior interior than most in this price range.
' Actually ' , ' not a bad ' review - but if the two former phrases were removed, there might have been time to see some sort of test drive {?} The former phrases just got a little redundant, after a few times. . Otherwise, ' not a bad review ' - ha..
Can't tell if you're just a nihilist or biased against the Challenger. "It's OK, this isn't TOO bad, but I can't get everything I want..." Specially when you talk about the interior dude
The electric tilt and telescoping steering comes with the plus package, which is what that car has, I'm surprised you didn't know that if you're doing a review on the car. Also you can raise the height of the seat if you're having trouble seeing out of the windshield. Also the windows are not one touch up, only down.
Not bad challenger, it’s an okay price but you should be able to find it at better deals, I got a 2016 Camaro 2SS for 29 grand, had to go out of state tho but can’t go wrong with challengers! Prob the most muscle looking car out there
Incorrect information sir who is doing the interview of the vehicle it's actually 305 hp & 268 Ibs of torque btw is around maybe 270 or 280 hp. N transmission yeah it's correct cause the new year I know this cause I own a Dodge Challenger n I work for dodge in my home town as a porter.
I believe all but the base sxt has a backup camera, so the sxt plus does. There is probably a package you can get to add it to the base sxt. The blind spot detection is part of the driver convenience package, an option on the sxt plus but not sure about the base sxt; I would think it would be.
Mf Camren - - right now, I'm averaging 23-25 M.P.G. with a combo of stop-&-go and HWY driving. With a 1/2-hr to 45-min drive to work I still only fill up once a week. My economy only slightly drops when I use the Sport Mode in tandem with the A./C. If you use only one or the other, you won't even notice the drop in M.P.G.
have a DL? you mean DD? i have two. as for the V6 in this 300+ HP from a V6 sounds great on paper but in practice is simply not enough for this over weight car.

How's your challenger running now? Thinking about getting the 2017 or 2018 SXT plus next year.
@@tikenna my charger sxt has been running for a long time so. Ushould be ok
This is the only Dodge model I would buy from their lineup
iceplanetRC what about the hellcat

Same.
iceplanetRC lol you do know ppl buy more Benz follow by BMW then Audi , Audi ain't really all that , but I fucks with A8 though

you'll get there

is that what the dealership offer on these cars? that sounds too good to be true!
MotownRockinroller that sounds awesome. I found one (lease) for $375. Take over payments. Wow you got yours way cheaper!!
damn that was an awesome deal lol, what dealership was this ?
Master Try probably about 1-2k down with about 200-400 a month
They couldn't have given him a good deal on his trade if he got that good a deal on the new car end......cant have your cake and eat it too!!
Hoping to get the Challenger 2017 at the end of this month!
Wish me luck.
Christian P well?
Im hoping to get an sxt
Hopefully you got one, I love mine cant stop making videos about it
Did u get it?
Got one blacktop edition 2012, i totally love it, all black everywhere. Blacktop is so far the best edition they ever made.
I hope that dodge never changes the look of the challenger
veLOcity_17 they absolutely will eventually. No way they’re going to be able keep this look for the rest of the Challengers life
I just bought a 2019 Dodge Challenger sxt the exact same color it’s so luxurious!!!
You are very lucky man🥺
The SXT and SXT Plus seem like a good value if you ask me.
TJC450 why is that
I just think they spec'd it right. All the features you get. The LED lighting, the V6 engine, 8 speed auto, U Connect system, the wheels. I'm sure these are easy to deal on too. I like V8s as much as the next guy but for me insurance, gas milage etc would be too much for me. The V6 would be plenty.
Whats the cost?
The STX is great value. For a bit more, you can get a lot of awesome features.
Hated Out Yo around 29k is decent for a SXT, with the basic screen
$30k does not seem that bad at all for this car. And 295 horses should be plenty, in fact anything bigger could shred itself over a long enough timeline I would think. Does it have blind spot detection? That would be nice considering how hard it appears to be to see out of. LOVE the retro speedo and tach!
Yes blind spot detection is an option.
295 sounds good, but its at 6400 rpm which is too high. Needs to be at a lower rpm to be useful in a car this size.
boltar2003 it has 305 hp he messed up
I don't find it hard to see out of at all. Some people complain about there being a blindspot where C pillar is but it doesn't bother me whatsoever. I grew up driving late 70's and early 1980's coupes with opera windows and big blindspots, so this car's supposed blindspot is nothing in comparison

My friend got a new SXT plus last year. She said the dealer described it as getting a base model with luxury package on it
The judgement on the interior blew my mind. 🤯 Looks greats to me but 🤷♂️
Jason Mccullar right? I was like wtf is he into 😂
just one small correction 305 horses 269 pound for the torque
I was about to ask if the power dropped for this year, didn't make sense. Thanks!
kostas dramoudanis You are a fucking moron
Great comprehensive review. I drove the 2018 Challenger SXT this week and loved it, although the SXT Plus in your video is spec'd way nicer. Would love to drive one like this with AWD.
I like how he says an ok amount of power. Back in the day my ta had a 6.6 big block with 200hp.

Just bought my 2017 SXT Today. I love this car, I wanna change the exhaust and tint the windows, doesnt need anything else. I have subs in it too
The color of this car with the black rims/accents look awesome. V6 is good value but I would want to pack in more HP.
Concepts If you're not gonna be street racing then I assure you, get the V6. I modded mine with Flows & cold air intake and it sounds awesome. The fuel economy works for me but to each his own.

Can't tell if you're just a nihilist or biased against the Challenger. "It's OK, this isn't TOO bad, but I can't get everything I want..." Specially when you talk about the interior dude
Keep up the great work man

why change a classic design.
Hello sir. How many miles can this 3.6 engine run maximum . This 3.6 engine have strong problem or not ?
Want this beauty of a car but with a clutch. Hope Dodge makes a v6 with a regular manual trans.

Great review
Not bad challenger, it’s an okay price but you should be able to find it at better deals, I got a 2016 Camaro 2SS for 29 grand, had to go out of state tho but can’t go wrong with challengers! Prob the most muscle looking car out there
305hp not 292 hp lol
Tight ending catch(s) & Spike(s) + 4?
I got the exact car, I love it
I only have one question tho , does v6 comes with manual shift??
great video but you have your stats wrong my friend. it's 305hp and 268flbs of torque. :)
Это просто мечта ! Тачка огонь !
Great review but i must say you contradicted yourself quite a few times lol
It's 305 hp
Nice intro song [x_x] marshmello

Purchasing next year
Whats the best pressure for tires is it 35 psi or 40 psi ?
undeadlover96 38 psi
No Redesign in nearly a decade?? The modern retro car has only been out for 9 years.
S B a decade is 10 years. 9 years is nearly a decade. Math is fun.
It looks like he is doing promotion for mustang and camaro
ford mustang has the worst design among the three
MEPI & NSBE?
Version #2?
do all challenger models come this back up cameras and blind spot assistance
I believe all but the base sxt has a backup camera, so the sxt plus does. There is probably a package you can get to add it to the base sxt. The blind spot detection is part of the driver convenience package, an option on the sxt plus but not sure about the base sxt; I would think it would be.
So far I can tell this doesn't have OnStar or backup sencers.
GrimReaper4383 it does. I have a 2016 SXT plus and you hear the sensors when you get near anything when backing up
Onstar is only for GM
He & 85 & Gr(andma GOBM?) ad.?
How much would you pay for gas?
Mf Camren - - right now, I'm averaging 23-25 M.P.G. with a combo of stop-&-go and HWY driving. With a 1/2-hr to 45-min drive to work I still only fill up once a week. One day...

Is this AWD??

HecticTrey - - sure, look at 7:34. 😉
Gift, Present?
that V6 is not enough for this thing. it's so heavy and so massive.
justin bouche so what? You don't even have DL. How about you finish eating your dog shit first.
superwangwei3630 Calm down. V6 is powerful, but the V8 is the better engine choice for this vehicle. lol. No need to get offended.
have a DL? you mean DD? i have two. as for the V6 in this 300+ HP from a V6 sounds great on paper but in practice is simply not enough for this over weight car.
DL= drivers license dumbshit.
As they said in Mad Max movies, it needs to be a V-8 engine.
305 HP
who buys a challenger V6?
It’s more like who buys the challenger v8, look around buddy they are all v6 lmao
Plenty of people my guy. Hell, you can’t even add a supercharger and you’ll be making 460 wheel horsepower
People who don;t need the v8
305 hp
Pike fruity drinks? Bra?

Do your homework next time
I cant stand that steering wheel design i dont know why but i cant stand it something about it just doesnt fit the design of the car
