It took fellow Canadian Ryan Reynolds 10 years to get Deadpool made, If you want something you have to put it out in the world and work your ass off for it. time to get a dialect coach for that Cajun accent and keep working on this

What made gambit so damn cool despite being a minor character were
1. Trench coat, boots and head band combination.
2. He had a pole
3. Had red eyes
4. His powers were so damn cool
5. He used a deck of cards to distribute his powers
6. That accent.

Elle P it can be like DareDevil on Netflix. Doesn't really have to be Gambit saving the world but more like helping out in his own back yard and how he eventually joins the X-Men. Can be very intriguing in my opinion.

When I got Gambit in Lego games years ago, I used him for most of the game.
He was.
But there is only 1 space for a unique character. So they chose Wolverine. If Gambit and Wolverine were in the same show, Gambit could steal all the atention.
no freaking way this was fanmade...wtf?!?!?!? This trailer was just as good as most Hollywood movies out, if not better. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, and sincerely you all have the time, energy and resources to put together a full length film...or at least a short film. Gambit deserves justice.

With the quality of this gem, you'd make a killing if this were a theater type movie.
I like the way he incorporates the staff into the martial art style to produce some breathtaking feats of martial art agility and skill. He is so perfect for playing this role. This is the Gambit that we want in the X-Men movie.
This is amazing! Gambit is my favourite alongside Nightcrawler and to be honest, if this was a 2hour film I'd love it! Infact if it was a series, even better!
I liked the voice but two key things were done in error. One: No one outside the comics or animated shows seem to realize Gambit has black sclera and reddish pink irises. This is a key thing about his appearance. Two: He does not manipulate cards in such a manner. Gambit's powers are that he can manipulate the kinetic energy in an object and basically turn it into an explosive. He has never levitated cards just thrown them about with deadly skill and precision like a knife and then they explode upon impact with something. It's great either way I just wish people would get his eyes and powers accurate.
Kinetic energy is movable energy right, so maybe Gambit can control kinetic energy too, hence able to move cards.
He also charges any object with energy. Not just cards

Gambit is actually a strong mutant. But I can't understand why they don't put him in their original movies. He is a trickster too. He is as powerful as some other powerful mutant

I agree, I just don't see Channing Tatum as Gambit, I dunno why. Nothing against Tatum, it just doesn't fit.
If I may chime in, Taylor Kitsch(the actor who played Gambit in Origin) said in an actual interview that he respectfully gave the role to Channing Tatum because, if memory serves me, Tatum was from New Orleans. Therefore, Tatum has that home advantage and can probably work that Cajun accent of Gambit, which I believe is a HUGE boon and trait to the Gambit character. Let's not cash it all in yet and see what Tatum's got.
Thought Nick Bateman right here is DEFINITELY and strong contender.

Was never a fan of the whole magic card float trick they introduced in origins. Never once did that it comics or the old cartoon. He channels kinetic energy into objects that causes anything, not just cards to explode. I'd be fine with a few card tricks. But he's just a smart mouth theif that has some superlative aim, agility, and martial art talent that came from the bayou.
that's the formula that makes him cool.

Nick as a fan of Gambit comics and x-men, I would like to express to you that you are the best Gambit performer I have seen so far. And it's not easy because you have to be very versatile. You have undoubtedly shown it and it shows that you have worked very hard to achieve it. Congratulations. Hopefully in the future Marvel will give you this role and that we can enjoy it in the movies. For now, thank you very much for keeping our illusion alive for our favorite superhero.

The_Eternal_Darkness _ you must not know your comics lol it's ok bro, let me explain what these guys are talking about. Gambits powers include concentrating kinetic energy into objects, bigger the item, bigger the explosion. The Whole cards thing is for convenience of carrying and smaller blasts.
He's not telepathic is what they're referring too
I never saw a comic book or anything where he could levitate cards and
make them fly in circles. I know he charges cards with energy and throws
them. In this video at the start cards are flying in circles around his
hands as if he was jean grey using telekinesis.
After watching this, I had to look it up. He does not have this ability. He can only 'charge' things. Not move them at his will like shown in the video.

This ain't gambit from x-men, outfit ain't right, power ain't right. This probably a random guys who obsesses on playing cards that also name gambit. Without the coat, you just a bartender that wears a X belt and carry an iron bar, imagine you can kick some ass on the street. I read the disclaimer, but you want the views by using gambit, at least give him some respect by showing the right stuff about him.
Comments on the videos, don't make telekinesis stuff while he playing the cards, you can use slow-mo for the whole scene. While he throws the cards, normally a cards player won't like ace of diamond, ace of spades is old school, or ace of hearts to show love, lol. Other details like fight scene got room for improvement, even with a limit budget on the production.
I'm actually kinda impressed...

Taylor was good,but I wouldn't mind seeing this guy play Gambit ever since they changed all the actors now(which is something that I hate)so he would probably be the only guy I would love to see in a X-men movie.
I'd take anyone, I just want them to do it well. Not fuck up the way they did it with so many characters. Gambit is precious, he needs to be done well.
I'd love to see Channing as Gambit. He was supposed to be in X-Men Origins: Wolverine instead of Taylor Kitch, but he was too busy. So he was always supposed to be Gambit & his dedication to the film is admirable. Plenty of actors would have walked after so many delays, set-backs & three different directors walking etc.
I liked Taylor as Gambit & just wanna see anyone play him and wanna see any X-Men film, animated series, comic etc. I'm just an X-Men fan & I hope they don't fuck the character up, too. My biggest complaint as a fan, is Jen-Law as Mystique... The first actress and portrayal was *SPOT ON* and she's my fave character these days (used to be Storm & Wolverine) so I was very disappointed... Gambit definitely deserves more screen time & a more accurate Rogue & Jubilee would be great, too.

JUST now seeing this. Surprised I haven't seen this sooner. I always thought it would be difficult to do Gambit right in live action, but you did it really well! Like how you handled his dialogue and the accent. With a good story attached to this version and tone, this could sell tickets, I think. Like Gambit's outfit too. Captures the essence of the comics costume. Nice little touches throughout.

That trailer was soooo dope! They're saying that Marvel will never make a Gambit stand alone movie. I do know that there was discusion of casting Channing Tatum for the role quite awhile back....but noooo! This trailer the and movie was incredible. I get so sick of Hollywood with their casting of known actors for most of these parts: while depriving the fans and the movie authenticity. Someone needs to drop this into Marvels lap if thy haven't seen it as of yet. This brotha would be perfect for the part!

Josh Dukes It's not a Southern accent. It's a Cajun accent. It sounds very different than a Southern one. This is coming from an actual Cajun.

Why can't or won't anybody get the eyes right. That's one of the coolest parts about Gambit and the reason he's called Diable Blanc. Also, Gambit can't do that with cards and they explode like grenades on impact, not concussive blasts.
