I wear a helmet all the time but in florida if you are over 21 and have medical insurance you DO NOT have to wear a helmet. As jai said though it doesn't help much if your in a bad wreck with a car. Thing is on a motorcycle most accidents are the motorcyclists fault because if you don't have your head on a swivel and paying attention to all your surroundings things can happen in an instant. Florida drivers are reckless and will cut you off or swerve near you, even eat red lights with you having the right away. Doesn't just pertain to cars you have bikers doing wheelies riding in groups showboating for no reason at all. Just have to be careful do your thing and make sure to pay attention. In the end wearing a helmet does save lives but there is that big percent that wore a helmet and still got killed.
See no one wants to admit it’s the motorcyclists fault. No one. I can’t tell you how many kids I see in the news or the squids WITH helmets on and dying. Just like I said in this video if it gives you that sense of security that wearing a helmet keeps you safe by all means where I am not endorsing you wearing one or not wearing one. It’s just merely my opinion just like that is yours and I absolutely love it
@HazersElectric yea. I think 95% of riders would agree. No helmet is dumb af. Helmet is the difference from walking away from a minor wreck/tumble and being a vegetable or dead. Wheelies are pretty safe compared to regular commuting without a helmet.
@HazersElectric just clicked on your channel. I get it now. You ride crappy electric bicycles. This has given you the false notion that the kenetic energy of a 400lb motorcycle won't slam you into the ground and that your neck isn't going to stop your 10lb head from cracking on the pavement from a 40mph wreck.
That was a crappy thing to say about your collection. Sorry. You said it best, it's your life and your decision. Good luck out there. Be as safe as you can with your dome exposed.
I personally used to never wear a helmet but now i wear it when i go in traffic just bc all it takes is the dumbest piece of garbage on earth to not see you and pull out in front of you and its over
I'm all for the you do you mentality, but to say that your choices on a motorcycle don't affect me on my motorcycle is, at best, inaccurate. At worst it's disingenuous. Regardless, you seemingly have no understanding on how insurance works. The more insurance companies have to pay out in a given area affects the cost of insurance in that area. So for every guy like you who chooses their personal freedoms to engage in risky behavior and turns their brains into Street Pizza, makes my insurance rates go up. So yes, it does affect me. Perhaps indirectly, but I still feel it every month that that payment comes due.
Wearing a helmet gives you a better chance of being able to walk away from an accident with no helmet. Period. Wear a helmet. Obey the laws, follow best practices, and ride safe.
He is following the law. Florida law says he doesn’t have to wear one. That is his choice. You wear you great. He chooses not to. If the LAW say to he will. He lived in NJ wear he DID wear a helmet

Ive seen and met a lot of people who have had minor slow speed accidents and eaten it on the helmet. And ive personally had a tire on a big rig blow up in front of me. Shrapnel from it damaged my visor. All of those cases without a helmet would have been major damaged if not life threatening. I look at wearing gear the same way as carrying a CCW. The odds are low, but the stakes are high. All that said, I agree if you dont want to wear one, don't. That's the point of living in a free country, or what's left of free. You dont need to explain, or have a reason. You can just do what you want. Any new riders who might read this, odds of a crash being a new rider is high. How much is your brain function worth to you?
I dont give a shit about my life as much as the next suicidal maniac, but I personally will still wear my helmet and gear because I dont want to be stuck to a wheelchair due to some unseen gravel or debris in a corner when I have access to the technology that'll prevent that. Im not gonna tell others how to live their life though. Same as I only tell people who ask about smoking not to start, but wont ever tell someone to stop unwarranted. Laws are laws though, so if you knowingly dont follow them and get caught, you cant really complain in that scenario.

Just remember what Harley said in Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man: "It's better to be dead and cool, than alive & uncool."
I think you're looking at it in a completely wrong perspective, and one of inexperience with accidents. A full-face helmet is there to prevent other aspects that don't involve just your skull impact, which itsef will likely be badly hurt when you hit the ground. It protects your face, eyes, jaw, teeth, nose, ears, etc. You've never seen gory pictures of biker people wearing only a small beanie helmet (or no helmet at all) who face planted on a car, truck or tree, or of those who had their jaw pretty much disappear (tongue hanging and all) after the "sand paper" harsh grind effect of sliding on ground tarmac or rocky terrain. Even small things such as impact of bugs or dust particles in your eyes, which will also directly affect your riding, are taken into account for a full-face helmet concept and construction. The same thing for propper riding equipment. Wearing propper jackets with armour. Or gloves, boots, pants, and list goes on. If there's an over-confidence effect when wearing moto riding equipment, then it's stupid people who don't understand what it is and should know better. The current moto riding equipment is not there to make you indestructible, because it can't do that. It's there to minimize any and all injuries as currently possible, in an event of a fall/crash, and indirectly help make any recovery as best and fast as possible. Protect yourself, people. Shite happens in just one second. Ride responsably, don't be stupid.
I have said this in responses and I’ll say it again. I have no problem hearing people’s opinions. But if someone is going to preach h to me to wear a helmet while they wear a t shirt and shorts with a helmet their point is moot
That was exactly my point - NOONE should be riding on t-shirts, or shorts, or soft shoes, and no gloves, and no helmet. ATGATT and that's it. If you don't believe or don't care about it, then you'll imediately regret it when that 1/1000th chance of it happening gets to you, as it does to so many others (and did to me).
Okay I see your point on having the freedom to do with your body as you like, I'm all for it. That being said it would only apply on situations where you're not harming others while doing so. But have you ever thought about the mental implications for other drivers you might collide with (regardless of fault) that have to deal with a fatal accident which often wouldn't be the case if a full suit and helmet were worn?
look if you were a helmet and a full suit, I cannot argue with that. I really cant. Just wearing a helmet while wearing a tshirt and shorts, dont talk to me.
I agree, it's choice and I respect it. I even get flack when I wear shorts. People who cry are just Karens. I've personally hit a deer, and had too many close calls with people. I'm glad I was wearing my helmet and I wear one 99% of the time, but I don't care if someone else made a choice not to wear one. With that being said, I also think bikers are Karens if they cry or throw a fit about being cut off or something like that. I mean as long as it wasn't intentional... Road accidents happen and riders need accept it. If a rider isn't wearing gear going 30 mph and were to almost die from a cager on his phone, then that's just a part of the risk and should be accepted.
I don't wear a helmet when i ride my 150cc to get groceries about a km away and the road is slow moving But when i go to the highway its helmet baby. Bugs, rocks, dust, and cigarette ash really suck balls when you're doing 80kmh
Seems kinda disrespectful to your family, you've got more chance of surviving a crash and not having brain damage by wearing a helmet, I love my family and wear full gear every time I ride because I want the best chance of recovery and to be there for them if the worst does happen, I think your outlook is quite selfish but each to their own I suppose
Dudes needs to go watch gore videos about motorcycle crashes without helmets. Plenty from asia. This is idiotic. "For freedom", most american nonsense ever. Helmet have actual proven science. (Proper helmets)
Please enlighten me as to this 'science'. Every DOT has to meet a regulation, for certain, but there's no agreement as to what that threshold SHOULD be. This is why you have hundreds of different helmets with hundreds of different prices.
@@Hazerz Yeah and theres plenty where a rider slides under a car and the helmet stops their head from getting crushed. Or what about the videos where a rider is alive simply because their helmet is holding their spine in place, or skull/neck together? I get that you aren't trying to deny not wearing a helmet is stupid, but still seems like you are trying to justify it. A full face or other proper helmet will save your life if it comes to that, and protect you from minor inconveniences daily
@@LanceWhipple dont you realize the hypocrisy of you commenting is telling me what to do? We can say whatever we want; doesn’t mean you have to agree or follow my suggestion. Just like his video says. Have a great day.

@@MattHenrich I was practicing, trials, supermoto, motocross, and outside of that, BMX, dirt jumping, mountain biking snowboarding, drifting skateboards down mountains at highway speeds. When you go there, shit happens, but you don't even need to go there, i've washed out on ice on the roads, hit animals, popped tires, and have had cagers on phones try to off me too many times to not. One of my friend's last words were "I don't need a helmet", half a block later on a first gear trip around the block and his brains was all over the street at no more than 10mph just around the corner. You do you bruh, but the only thing stupider than helmet laws are these fuckin' idiot goobers who are too 'cool' for a helmet or whatever ego driven nonsense causes this mental disorder. Fine, the world needs less stupid so go ahead. I plan to be sending it for another 40 years with my brains intact, good luck, you're gonna need lots of it.
I agree that it's your choice, but man is it dumb. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for helmets, and neither would many of my friends (or we'd be vegetables).
At the end of the day, you only get one brain, and one bucket for it to go in. So many accidents are not your fault, and you can never predict when that will happen. Stay safe out there.
Another point to that, could also be while wearing a helmet that it could give the rider a false sense of safety and thus rides more reckless then if he didn't wear one.
I agree with freedom. But not wearing a helmet is just not a good idea. idgaf what you do or don't do...just like smoking, drinking, doing drugs etc...but it's dumb
@@Hazerz you're clearly an intelligent person, I just think your decision not to wear a helmet is a dumb one. But I feel the same about most people doing most things I wouldn't do. Doesn't make me right about any of it.
I 1,000% agree jai I have been riding either on dirt or on street and there is times I wore a helmet and there were times I had to wear a helmet. I think it should be up to the rider if he or she wants to wear a helmet and if the passenger wants to wear one or not. Also I think you should ride to your ability and learn better skills as you go and don't try to be Johnny badass 😎 and get yourself or someone else hurt. Thanks for the video jai and keep the paint side up lol
When i ride by myself on pavement. I dont wear one. I get bitched at often by the safety police. LOL . But i do when i mtb. Or when i do any group rides. Because ive seen more carnage were people on bikes have caused group crashes. The safest cycling country in the world i think is Sweden. No helmets needed. The majority of people there dont wear helmets. The reason its the safest is because the government has spent alot of its money on bicycle infrastructure. Like bike paths. And just because someone will say a helmet saved there life. Theres also alot out there were it didnt. For me it all comes down to comfort on my daily commute. And im not endangering anyone by not wearing a helmet.

Because it is a simple fact that helmets don't always save lives, even better sometimes they make things worse. So HAHAHAHAHAHAHA look up some facts before making uneducated comments ! And btw, maybe watch the entire video and listen to what is being said, instead of just picking out what you want to hear.
@sebg2086 so if you are riding a motorcycle WITH a helmet and are following all the rules and laws of the roads and someone runs a traffic light and hits head on at 50/60 mph, you will be fine and that helmet will save your life? Really? Helmet and designed for you head and the ground not against cars or anything else?

I don't wear a helmet when i ride my 150cc to get groceries about a km away and the road is slow moving
But when i go to the highway its helmet baby. Bugs, rocks, dust, and cigarette ash really suck balls when you're doing 80kmh
Also agree with this statement
I would have thought that it would be legs, arms and torso that would be more likely to be injured if you came off anyway.
Youre not safe no matter what. Trust in God. If God chooses to take you then your helmet isnt stopping God.
Louder!
Wear a helmet, people die when they are killed!
Why are you commenting again lol
@@Hazerz hehe I just keep coming back to this video. I tell everyone there’s this guy who rides without a helmet and I post what they say.
Thank You for promotion
@@Hazerz of course! It was a good video idea for sure. Wish you the best.
I could give a fck about my family
Love the video thx, helmets give a lot of people a false sense of security for sure !
Are you mental?? There are so many scenarios where a helmet safes your life. Let's say a small metal part hits your visor at 60 mph
see ill agree WITH that, I never said it doesnt save lives. It offers a false sense of security and confidence when it shouldnt be.
@@Hazerz I wear agat . . .and I have zero sense of security haha.
Dudes needs to go watch gore videos about motorcycle crashes without helmets.
Plenty from asia.
This is idiotic. "For freedom", most american nonsense ever.
Helmet have actual proven science. (Proper helmets)
Seen plenty of gore videos and they’re usually situations where a helmet would have been no help. When it’s your time, it’s your time.
I’ve even seen gore where a car crushes said helmets and brains are loose inside. I suggest you keep looking at you’re gore
A helmet does NOTHING to protect your neck. Jesus bro
You should wear a helmet and set a good example
You should set a good example and stop going around telling people what to do
Or it’s his choice..
@@LanceWhipple you should call your mom more.
@@LanceWhipple dont you realize the hypocrisy of you commenting is telling me what to do? We can say whatever we want; doesn’t mean you have to agree or follow my suggestion. Just like his video says. Have a great day.
but in this video Im not suggesting anything. Matter of fact, I tell people if they want to wear a helmet they should. I am giving my opnion OF WHY I DONT wear a helmet.
I support your freedom to be an idiot. That said, maybe there's nothing to save up there. My helmets have saved my life at least a dozen times.
Sounds like you need more practice
Whole lot of judgement there for an opinion
@@Hazerz It's mah freedom to do so, right?
yup, which is why I didnt block you. But thats judging someone, I didnt judge anyone in my video. So it speaks volumes
@@owenadair8893 yup. One brain with which to decide, for yourself, what you want to do with it.
@@MattHenrich Sure
Another point to that, could also be while wearing a helmet that it could give the rider a false sense of safety and thus rides more reckless then if he didn't wear one.
Now I can see why u barely have any subscribers.
Brand new channel lol
Oh many subscribers do you have on your channel? Oh 99 lol the channel is new smart guy
You're so edgy, using a 'z' instead of an 's'. I bet you make all the middle school girls swoon with your one Roblox video.
I agree with freedom. But not wearing a helmet is just not a good idea.
idgaf what you do or don't do...just like smoking, drinking, doing drugs etc...but it's dumb
Ok see this opinion I can respect. Not calling me stupid
@@Hazerz you're clearly an intelligent person, I just think your decision not to wear a helmet is a dumb one.
But I feel the same about most people doing most things I wouldn't do. Doesn't make me right about any of it.
hey man as long as youre an organ donor i got no problems with people not wearing helmets, organs might actually get put to good use one day!
trust me when I tell you, no one wants my organs
@@Hazerz i agree, brain especially
I 1,000% agree jai I have been riding either on dirt or on street and there is times I wore a helmet and there were times I had to wear a helmet. I think it should be up to the rider if he or she wants to wear a helmet and if the passenger wants to wear one or not. Also I think you should ride to your ability and learn better skills as you go and don't try to be Johnny badass 😎 and get yourself or someone else hurt. Thanks for the video jai and keep the paint side up lol
But I have to wear a seat belt while driving 😂
@brandonbryant5152 but i bet if the state ypu lived in gave you the choice you would not wear one.
Again mountain biking I can also agree, I’d say anything OFF road
@albikes8484 no one almost wears helmets for cycling.
The issue is misinformation on motorcycles.
@allbikes8484 give this a read when you get the chance slate.com/technology/2023/01/bike-helmets-cyclist-deaths-do-you-need-to-wear.html
Great comment.
Daaaaaaam jai you looking good brother, over there looking like a welterweight 💯👊👏👏👏
Thank You
Waltuh. Put your helmet away Waltuh. I won't wear helmet right now Waltuh
Guys like him keeping Polaris in business 😂 hey, when his wife is feeding him and changing his diapers for the rest of his life due to a TBI, at least he will be able to say he lived free 👍
That’s your opinion. Do you know this man? He is all about freedom. He is a veteran and as also has a bullet in his body. He did that for OUR freedom. Oh if it’s his time to go, then he will be fine with that.
I'm all for wearing helmets when appropriate, but I'm even more in favor of freedom & people being empowered to make their own safety choices, so I have no problem with this. I'm skeptical about helmets causing baldness, but they've definitely made my hair look weird sometimes lol
Freedom 🇺🇸
🧩🧩🧩🧩🧩🧩🧩
Denied.
Great video! Needed to be said. Very well delivered. Yo, that JFK line, amazing! 😂🤣
His cranium is DOT certified
In short, coz I'm American.
What is their fixation with the illusion of freedom, over just common sense.
wow.....how can you believe that helmet dont save life HAHAHAHAHAHA wow
''i can only hive you one reason not to use a helmet: 'cause i'm dumb as f*ck, use my freedom to hopefully become a vegetable and feel rebellious ''
you talk like a flat earther lol
"Hey everyone, Chris here, CC, from Westchester county, New York, uhhh... Motorcycle helmets! The government wants you to wear them! Have you ever thought about that?"
If you're gonna be this stupid and conspiratorial about wearing a helmet, then go for it.
I'll take one Darwin Award, please.
If the government wants you to then why do multiple states have NO helmet laws? It the same as a seatbelt. It only affects the person who is or isn’t using it. That should be a choice
the earth is flat!
@@turbotonye-4124 It doesn't matter if the government wants you to wear a helmet or not. If you're not wearing a helmet on a motorcycle, you're being stupid. Just because the government happens to recommend something doesn't mean they're trying to brainwash you.
✨️Natural Selection✨️ I guess.
The problem is 🗣️YOU ARE INFLUENCING OTHERS
Yo, did you watch the video or actually listen to it? Never does he tell anyone to NOT wear a helmet. The state he lives in says if you’re an adult you do NOT have to wear one. If you choose to then that’s fine. This is his opinion. It’s not right nor wrong. You should take your argument to all the states who have NO helmet laws. I think he INFLUENCES people to make their OWN choices. Be a free thinker not a sheep
All you did was yap for 7 minutes straight. You literally didn't even start saying anything cohesive before the 2 minute mark. Also, you don't know how to read statistics. This video was a waste of time
