Fuel consumption of the 1.5 TSI Karoq still continues to amaze me. Drove from Ledbury in Herefordshire to Worcester via Malvern on the A449 this morning (which is uphill, down-dale, stop-start driving all the way), but still got 50.3 mpg out of it! From a 150 horse-power beast that propels the thing from 0 to 60 in just over eight seconds! Part of the secret is that whenever it can, it shuts half the engine down and fires on just two pots. If you keep it in third in the 30 mph zones, it's in two-cylinder mode most of the time on flat ground. Incredible engineering, and if I hadn't seen it myself I wouldn't have believed it.
Yes she’s very pretty to keep us men content and all that jazz. But, a genuinely charismatic and informative car reviewer, and a welcome addition to the team. Bravo Carbuyer! 👏
I test drove the Karoq over Xmas - a really, really nice car and better than the Tiguan. The interior is particularly nice with a reactive and intuitive infotainment system.
for a reference i really need to know how tall she is cuz im 6 foot and quite big and I want to be comfortable in the back behind a average person infront
Niki, it's a delight to see you on your second video. Hope we get the chance to see you on even more videos. Btw, the Yeti is not dead as you should know that the Karoq is not meant to be the Yeti's successor. Skoda is planing on coming up with a new Yeti which will be as quirky as the old one.
Are you sure? I haven't seen that reported anywhere; all the motoring press seems to be referring to this as the Yeti replacement. I love our Yeti so hope it's true as this does seem a bit boring.
Tony Sampson According to an article I read that was the info that was officially released by Skoda. That's the reason this car was given a different name. Time will show.
The seats are at their most forward position? When the boot was opened it looked like there was nowhere for the seats to slide back as it was tight against the rear
88Sauce Longcross Film Studios. The Studios, once an important M.O.D site with considerable history, have over 200 acres of backlot. There is a 2¼ mile Test Track constantly in use for filming that was once used to test 80 ton army tanks and now is used by prestigious motor cars together with motoring events.
The first bid for someone who is going to evaluate a car is to know the product! Here are several things that go against what many motorists boast about! And most people agree that a liter in a Karoq is a wasteful purchase! And forget a very important point, such as that the entire rear seat row can be removed was not mentioned in one word! BAD revue !!
I believe it's no fun to drive. You put these important considerations first and we'll be on our way, saving us the torture of listening to your oh so important bottle test or Picnic tray review.
I would clearly prefer that car than VW Tiquan or Seat Ateca and any other car in this segment. Looks a little bit boring from the outside but great from the inside and overall this is a very good car
Why there is no videos including the interactive cockpit. Thats a shame, because i think many people will buy this feature, The standart speedometer looks just terrible, same as the kodiaq. Why they make it looks so lame i don't know, but car reviewers please do review with car that includes feature that most people was interested in this car in first place. I mean it's first skoda model with it. It's looks like Skoda announced about it, but now are regreting it, because voilkswagen tiguan looks crappier compare with koraq. I don't know but i would love to see that. Please reviewers!! What are you thinking about.
Quite obviously a badge snob didn't really want to drive the car oh it's not really a 3008 no it's a car with quality just take a look at Peugeot/Citroen reliability record

Pity did not mention which spec karoq it is !!!.
Really impressed with the new reviewer.
Nicki Shields... She's very impressive, has her own youtube channel :)
Nicki's been on the scene for a while now, she's an excellent moto journalist.
Really like the new presenter! Carbuyer really needed some more character after Mat left
Ginny is awesome too
@@utubeleplague so is Batchelor
Mat Watson wasnt the only one, but is the best one for me, but there's also Ginny Buckley, James Batchelor, and Rebecca Jackson
It needed more character whilst Mat was there!

Finally some charm in this channel.
You are a breath of fresh air for carbuyer Exellent review and very easy on the eye is alway a bonus 😍😍
Mark Jarrett mistake at 5:20, she says she is driving a 1.5 Diesel.
Love our 2017 3008
Everything is beautiful in this review!
for a reference i really need to know how tall she is cuz im 6 foot and quite big and I want to be comfortable in the back behind a average person infront
Much prefer her to James
Raphael Koslover No...James is king of the hill ( my opinion)
Nice to see you on carbuyer Nicki!
she is a great reviewer. Please keep her
I wish @Carbuyer would put out more content daily. I just want to see James and everyone else a lot more!!
Nice reviewer

love the presenter, camera work tho - wtf?
1.6 diesel......................
must say the dsg gearbox is great
I like the witty new presenter. Keep up the good work.
Good review and actually nice looking Car with semi premium look inside.
Impressive review, the new presenter has got great character!
very very nice looking model, perfect for my purposes, think I will get one!
Yeah. Karoq is nice too :-)
I thought you are talking about the presenter?
cat isn't bad either... damn someone's beaten me to it....
I still prefer a brunette
Car?? I didn't notice a car!
Nice and pretty new presenter. Congrats! :) but there is a mistake when she says 1.5 litre diesel:)
New voice. New look. Love this woman 😘
Nicki is brilliant!
Congrats Nicki great job you did here!
Very good review
She's amazing. So joyful!
Yeap i like the way she presented, very nice review
Nikki looks like she really loves the Karoq
You didn't really show us the seats moving around or the boot space very well, but a good review otherwise. Skodas of late are becoming more appealing
Impressive presentation skills.
I would pay 650 £ to NOT get an electric tailgate on any new car. I hate those things!
You can still use it manually if u like
Not all of them. In my experience not even close to all of them...
If you are a frail short elderly person then a powered tailgate is a godsend
@The Hierophant ok
Really good review 😉
Nice red pirate hat look you rocking there Nicki - "avast me hearties..."
Don't let her go, Carbuyer. Make her stay. XD Great review.
Mistake at 5:20? She say she is driving the 1.5 Diesel, is it not 1.6 or 2.0 in Diesel form like she said 15 seconds before?
The seats are at their most forward position? When the boot was opened it looked like there was nowhere for the seats to slide back as it was tight against the rear
Carbuyer and Carwow are all filming at the same location? Where is it?

Noticed the same. Thought it was at Millbrook though
It's the old MOD RARDE site at Longcross in Surrey. You can just about see the entrance from the London-bound M3 past the Lightwater junction
I'll close my own hatch, save 600 and one less thing to break.
Good review, Thank you and well done 👍
Decent car. Very decent reviewer.
Why is James' name written out in the title of his videos but not for the other presenters?
And on that bombshell....back to car wow ;)
very good reviewer, pretty too. good job!
My brother Christopher have Skoda Veti is better just fine no problem keep safe.
You didn't show the best part about the VarioFlex seats...
Good review
I’m starting to like this car more and more. One question tho, wasn’t this supposed to have the option of digital dials?
ThinkCleverAndSmart it was but for some reason they’re not available quite yet
Yeah! Don't know why. Everyone has done a review on this without the feature, so it will basically be implemented in the dark. :/

Where do they get those names from? I want a Nissan Pivo 1st gen
One advantage the Skoda has over the puggy, It won't throw an engine management light and limp home backwards like all puggies.
How is Rebecca?
Nicky has magic shoes :)
Nice practical car but needs some styling. VW group are quite boring compared to other makes. Good review.
yeah, arteon, scirocco, audi, lamborghini, boring, sure. parroting on internet, now THAT is boring
Head room "if you've got a big head, or a big brain...." LOL
1.5 Diesel??? Not correct!!!
Yup she made mistake. Probably wanted to say 1.6
Skoda used to make 1.9 Diesels (I had one). These days they have 1.6 which actually has a slightly better power output and performs roughly the same.
What colour is ?
1.5 diesel?
Yeti looked so much better.
There is plenty of storage and then the glovebox doesn't pass the test. Hmmm
Also 1.5 diesel?? :)
Sorry for sounding negative. Good review otherwise.
what is wrong with 1.6 diesel?
1:47 i've always found the front passenger foot well a great place to throw the rubbish, all in one place when you come to hoover the car out...
thumbs up for Nicki!
Who puts crisps in the glovebox?
Say hello to the Rebecca replacement

What's Niki's background?
Reporter/Presenter... She did Formula E etc.
The dash looks a lot like the last generation of the mercedes benz ML
James gone ?
I seen James on rival chanel auto express he must off left with nicki Shields replacing him .
Yay, Nicki is back! :)
Great review on a not so great car if you ask me, i would take the 3008 any day.
You got a 1.5 diesel you say?
sienna miller lookalike
Video is out of focus at 1080p until 40 seconds into the video! LOL!
Yati looked way more appealing. This looks like a generic suv, is that a good thing? I don't think so.
She said ETH E trim level. Not SE
And why can’t we have these cars in America? We have Bmw, VW, Audi, Volvo but we can’t have Skoda? What!?!?
Oh Yes please!! Car’s ok, too.
Cute👌
Good review, awesome interior, FUGLY car on the outside.
If you want 4WD then you should pay a ridiculous 10k more because it is available only for highest trim
diesel from WV are 1,6
That made me laugh...under the bonnet its all so simple
Looks like the Tiguan
Who dosnt love a good shaped big boot :)
Could be better if less james' review from this year
Quite obviously a badge snob didn't really want to drive the car oh it's not really a 3008 no it's a car with quality just take a look at Peugeot/Citroen reliability record
What is the average height of girls in the UK ?
Wahyu Hidayat 5’5”
The steering wheel is on the wrong side though
james looks like a vampire
Indeed she's pretty and funny :)
the new reviewer is so oooooo
Ginny and her are the best reviewers. James need to change jobs.
I like a big boot.
3:06 ... :))
Nice car but silly name. What was wrong with "Yeti"
In Skoda name the "S" sound like the begining "sh" in "show" or the end of word "English".
what is with new car names that have meaning in croatian? Koraq= korak= step, mito= bribe, kuga= plague
