Daaaamnn... I loved Yeti. It's a typical multipla case. It was ugly on the launch, and now after a decade, it causes a smile on your face every time you see one.
I actually ended up in a Kodiaq over the Karoq (just felt like a bit of a step up) but would have been very happy with the Karoq and was definitely my preference over everything else I test drove (Forester, XC40, 3008). I didn't bother with the Tiguan as I was coming from two Golf's and wanted to change it up. That being said, I actually think Skoda are doing better in the design and fit/finish department anyway...
I have no interest in buying a Karoq, and I don't need a new car. I still watched the whole thing. Mark you are killing it with these reviews. At this point it's only drag races giving Dullwow all the views 😉
Completely agree with you about the Karoq mark it's an underrated gem, Most VW SUV type cars have hard plastics in the area's you pointed out while Skoda's don't!, Just checked the prices of 2 year old T-roc vs karoq and the skoda is £2k cheaper for equivalent model its because of the Badge i assume!!.
Anyone else thinks Skoda is getting very Germanic with the options list though? i.e. it can get very expensive, very quickly. Also, @Vanarama seen numerous reviews of the Karoq, plus the Peugeot and Volvo you compare it too, but still barely any of the Kuga? any chance?
Just put an order in for Karoq Sportsline, New Zealand spec with 140kw 2.0 turbo. Changing from Yeti as well. Have had the Yeti 9 years, the longest I have had a car because it was sooo cool. Karoq ticks so many boxes. Loved the VW T Roc R Line as well.
@@XES825 same case here. Have a Yeti since 8 yrs, but none of the new one's could be a lovable as it. Sitting on the fence if to change or wait for a new Yeti 😉
Oh boy it is! The Kuga is more expensive and doesnt have extremely good build quality, but handles better. The Karoq especially the diesels are more fuel efficient! From what i have heard the new Kuga Diesels arent terribly reliable, but idk you choose! Two good cars, the Karoq being a bit better
Mark, you are the jewel of car reviewers, seriously. Very entertaining yet very informative. What's going-on with the editing☹️, good intro, but the frequent (very) video clip interjections become annoying, detracting somewhat from your fab review..... Also, next time, can you wait until the carpenter has finished...the continual noise of hammering-in nails in the background is super irritating 🥴
I've got the 2020 Karoq. Fantastic car. Agree with your analysis of the Yeti having more character. Only thing I cant work out in the Karoq is how to answer and cancel telephone calls on the steering wheel controls? Anyone?
I bought 1.5 SE L back in January!! Just be careful with the 19" wheels, ie. standard on my SE L back end of last year, and Edition models (and Sportline), as ride not as comfortable as on 18s or smaller..
Did a testdrive with this karoq sportline and they had 19" aswell and i noticed it to , this is 1 of the things that makes me doubt about buying it :/ does it "get better" after a few months? :p
@@TrunXo4 Hi, you do get used to it, yes, but I think the wheels on the Sportline are a different variation of 19s, so just check that out! To be honest, looking back I wish I'd actually gone for the Sportline, as comfier seats, and a few other extras.. Yes, would have potentially cost an extra grand or more, bit heh ho!! I'm glad I picked the Karoq in the end!!
Just got a base model, manual Karoq having had an XC90. Controversial, but I enjoy driving the Karoq more. The XC90 felt bloated and full of tech that was largely unnecessary.
All VW group cars are very boring to look at. The Skoda range all look the same shape, just some being a bit bigger than others. The Yeti was the best Skoda in recent times. At least it had a bit more character than the bland VW group cars built today. Very good review thanks.
Took the Yeti for a test drive when it was released and i HATED the thing. It was a terrible driving experience for me. We tested the octavia estate right after and never looked back. Strange to hear you loved it so much. We are now eyeing a karoq or kodiaq, however, that Yeti test drive still has me in doubt. So i assume we will have to test both of them out. If neither feels right, we will stick with the superb we have now.
Joke, right? I would short the whole story of this video. "if you are looking for Skoda Kodiaq - then go for Skoda Kodiaq". If you want the right price for Skoda Kodiaq - go for Seat Ateca. You get all the same - but cheaper. (and you can get Cupra 300HP for a very small cost "fee" when you compare to fully loaded 2.0TDI Kodiq).

We have both the 2017 Yeti & 2020 Karoq. While the Karoq is a fantastic car the Yeti has just something about it that says "Oh Yeah, Yeti" :-)
Clicked the thumbs up before you even spoke due to the best intro ever!
Correct. Joe Hair, well done you

Got a Kodiaq in Jan, my first skoda. Absolutely love it. Such a pleasure to drive.

The Yeti was not ugly!
The intro was everything! Awesome job!
My goodness, Skoda is now the best VAG.

Up to the usual standard Mark! Great
Looks like I've decided, Skoda Karoq, it is🥰 Wish Skoda, would bring back the YETI!!🥰💓😘 I loved my, YETI!!!!!😘

Best review .... ever !
Thank you Mark :)
Love the humour cut scenes. :-)
Looks great, especially in Sportline trim. Is it better than a Kuga though?

@@andrewferguson1013 allright :) thx for the reply ;) one of these days ill decide between either the karoq sportline or hyundai tucson feel .. :)
A review "Sans" fault. Great stuff!
The 116 bhp is a 1.6 TDi and the 1.0 TSi is 115 bhp
My Yeti was great!
You could review cobblestones and make it fun to watch.

I love Škoda

great review
Now Mark God damn it , ease off the VAG stuff please !

too much talk and too much jazz. minimal genuine content on what the car offers.
Well I switched off after 30 seconds, annoying
Why can't you make a tidy review without the nonsense and noise
Because there are lots of those already. 😁 Mark.
Fuck me this review is wearying.
Les Paul rules. x
Stop ranting on about the effing Yeti. Dont you have better material?
Don’t you have an apostrophe key on your keyboard?
I went with the contraction comeback because I don’t have better material.
Are children looking to by cars now!!!! grow up.
LOL. Bruh.
