I got my SKX 009J about 2 years ago. New ones were in short supply then but still got one for £125. I see dealers are now looking around £500. LOVE MY SKX
I'm not into the SKX - i prefer the Citizen NY0040 - but i definitely like its position within Seiko and mechanical watches in general. I believe that Seiko's worst mistake was to not update the movement and let such an icon die, coming years later with a "5KX" that's not close to the real deal. As i said, i'm not into the SKX but i would think about one if it was still around. But Seiko, being Seiko...
Thanks for sharing your insights. The lack of hacking is the only downside in my opinion. Other than that the wearing experience, the colorfulness and the bezel action are just great. Also own a couple of Citizen Promasters so I know what you are talking about.

I love all SKX divers. Somehow they look better than the newer iterations (Seiko 5 Sports) 5KX in my opinion. I hope Seiko will update the SKX with a better movement, bracelet and sapphire crystal 🫡

@@GadgetsforGentlemen yes people love their watches in the UK I'm particularly a fan of military, field and dive watches because of the fact they are proper tools and have to be rugged.
