TBH 8 minutes is actually a long time to watch a tutorial of releasing and putting some bands to a watch. BUT magically I never wanted to skip it and listening very carefully to your instruction. It kinda stress release 😅 and felt like just watching 4 minutes video. Keep the excellent job dude!!

3yr old video and yet timeless!!!! I learned what a nylon strap was really called, NATO, I had one never used it because I could not install it 🤣felt so dumb after watching this. After learning the name went straight out to buy more…. Hehehe. I wish after you slipped it on you flipped the watch over slower to show how it should look. I had to watch in slow mo and rewind a few times. Many thanks for this video, was greatly appreciated.

For those actually trying to remove the SKX's bracelet, to my surprise I did find out that I could only remove it with the bigger "fork" of my spring bar tool, not with the smallest (some of these tools have more than one fork, specially the cheapest ones). The whole thing changed from IMPOSSIBLE to fairly easy :)))). Good luck with those spring bars. By the way, I would advise to change the Seiko's originals for a double flange spring bars with the same size (which is 1,1 mm for the ends and 2,5 for the body. Please, check, because I may be very wrong on this).

QQ: I bought the Seiko *Fat spring bars for my SKX013. The bar is too big to seat in the holes on the case properly. They easily pop out occasionally. Does the SKX013 accept a regular spring bar? Are the holes in the case a standard size?

I have a Timex woodcrest drive watch with an expandable band that’s too tight. I’m trying to change it out to a NATO strap. This watch has the tiniest access to the watch spring bar that I get spring bar tool stuck. I worked for over 2 hrs to get 1 pin removed I’m goin over 2 1/2 on the other side & I have pretty much given up, anyone else have this problem?

    • @LumeShot

Sometimes its worth just cutting the spring bar with pliers and replacing it if its giving too much trouble. The spring bars will not cost that much; well worth the time saved too.

Sparrow, yes you could do that. Make sure it really is the right size because if the band is too large it won’t fit and if it is too small it might look a bit weird.
      Just some extra advice,
If you do end up changing the strap, please put some tape on the lugs and case back so you don’t scratch it.
