- The number one critique I get on the original video is that it's too long, too talky, and too boring. Followed in close second by the lighting being poor.
To be fair, they were right. I kept in WAY too much repetitive cutting, and droned on too much about what I was doing. It was also before I added my LED shop lights, so it was very dark.
In an effort to make the video more watchable I went in with a hatchet and cut out (almost) everything that wasn't actually necessary, and trimmed 71% off the run time. I also brightened the individual clips so it doesn't feel (as much) like woodworking in a cave.
It also always gets asked what router bit I used to flatten the board. You can find them here: amzn.to/3R826hW
wow interesting video. for me the basket wave cutting board is one of the most beautiful. I happen to do them too
Great looking board!
How thick is the final cutting board? inch and a quarter? inch and a half?
Very well done. Video was interesting and informative.

A true master class!
I know this vid came out awhile ago but any chance you have plans for your router table?
It's actually Norm's design. I modified it later to have casters, and changed the dust collection to side discharge for space savings. www.newyankee.com/episode/deluxe-router-station/
Can yo tell me what your BOM (Lumber required) for this cutting board?
Hey how long are the 6 pieces you glue up ? Ty
Of all the things I wish I remembered, I wish I remembered that the most, haha. When I made it it never crossed my mind that anyone would want to know, yet that's been the #1 question.
Très jolie bravo et bonne vidéo dommage je comprends pas l’Anglais 🤣👍
How long are the strips you start width ? Very helpful video…thanks.
How long are the 9 pieces you cut?
I used your video to make the same cutting board.
Yours turned out better than mine!😂
I'll keep watching your videos. Thanks for posting
Awesome job, I might have to make this for my first cutting board! Keep the dual brandon shots coming!
I watched this video when you first made it a while ago...still great info and guess it's still hot down there in Tejas!
It's a little cooler right at the moment, but not much!
I'm making another one.
