1.) 00:24 I started this project with 6 pieces of purpleheart and 6 pieces of cherry (2"x2", 24" in length) 2.) 00:50 After running them through the planer they were all 47mm X 47mm, 24" in length, (needed them all to be exactly the same measurements and as square as possible) I guess that's what my lumber requirements were to make this one. 2:05 The 8mm purpleheart strips glued on and ran through planer 3:34 to make each piece 47mm x 47m all over again. I believe I cut the ends off due to snipe, then cut what remained into 9 sections 5:06. The whole thing ended up like 16 inches long 11 inches wide 1 7/8 inches thick. Hope this helps with any projects you may have!
I believe I did most of my measurements in millimeters for cutting and fitment. 1. After running the 2x2x24's through the planer they were all 47mmX47mmX24" 2. I think I cut the side pieces at 10mm thickness (which was purposely too thick). 3. I put the side pieces through the planer and continued until the main piece measured 47mmX47mm again. 4. The side pieces ended up being around 8mm thick
Hey man nice work! I am wondering, what is the final size of that cutting board? Also, did you manage to use all the wood blocks for that particular final size? Thanks!
Correction: Final size was 16X11 inches, and 1 7/8 inches thick. I actually used all 6 blocks of each wood. I had several thin strips of purpleheart and cherry leftover. Thanks!
Muito top
Well done
Can you tell us what the lumber requirements are for this board?

Wish you say how much you cut off the original 2x2x24 to get the side pieces

@@BahasaDrum Awesome! Happy Building!
Great looking board but please build yourself some tables to work off on, Harbor Freight probably carries tables too.
@@littlecreekbowclub5288 Thanks. I have lots of table space (Harbor Freight & homemade). It's just a preference a lot of the time.
