TRYING HOI4 FOR THE FIRST TIME

Hello everyone, Detektiv back with the strategy game game, but in this video, I will be playing HOI4, and play as Germany. In this game, where I ( of course ) didn't follow any tutorial other than the one ingame, I tried to go for a more pacific approach, going for "Slovakia for Danzig", instead of starting WW2, which would start about Slovenia. In this conflict, I would manage to capitulate France before Belgium, before being killed by the allies. I didn't even go for Barbarossa..

Very well, just for push in belgium (and anywhere), use close air support planes they will help you in combat. And please use marshals to regroup your generals and make one single front for five armies.

build meduim tanks with anti air guns (SPAA) and put 1 of those in your infantry and that is a pretty good way to dumpster the AI becuase the armour and aa stats it gives your inf is crazy also in the hoi 4 community they say CAS (close air support) is king for a reason
Oh and pay attention to the stat combat width in your units try and go for 10 width for small divisions 20 or 25 width for medium size divisions and 35 or 40 width for your big tank divisions try not to go over 40

Keep your army groups 24 or below, if you go above the limit you get debuffs and just keep playing major countries to learn the game it's much more fun

For future gameplays, you really should make a big air force (I didn't see how big was it so I assume you didn't do a lot with them). Air force can do miracles if done right. Also if you ever fight the soviets, build a navy, I can't count how many times I got invaded through the baltic or mediterranean, and building a navy effectively stops them.

He isn’t using any dlc the La Resistance dlc makes you get spies which do the same thing so it removes it
