As a kid I had no business playing this game but man did I love it. I spent countless hours in the multiplayer playing the war segment against the bots. It was so much fun.
I think this game was the gaming equivalent to South Park, well maybe Conker is slightly tamer...also 3 voice actors for everyone is exactly like South Park
After Beardy teaches you, the context sensitive at the beginning press B again (really nice helium!). If conker is drinking soda position. The camera in front of him angled up a little bit with the C buttons It will hit the camera shaking it. oh PS hold Z to Pee farther!
Wow I didnt realize you were supposed to hide behind rodent in his armor! Ive played this game many times lol so I can tell you that spidermine part is hard but foable without using rodent
I have so many things to say about this game that my comment would be too long. So I'm just going to say that it's definitely one of my favorite N64 games, it blew my mind when I discovered it a few years ago. One more Rare gem for this console, which no one should miss.
@@jiggylookbackIf I had to choose my favorite style of video game of all time (design, aesthetics, graphics, sound, music, story, characters, etc.) it would undoubtedly be this one, the one by Rare for N64 in the 90s.
I never understood why people think voice acting is rare on the N64. There is a lot in StarFox 64, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Rugrats Scavenger Hunt, Rugrats in Paris, Pokémon Stadium 0, Pokémon Stadium, Pokémon Stadium 2, Resident Evil 2, Mega Man 64, Pokémon Puzzle League and yes, even the launch title Super Mario 64 has full lines of voice acting both in the intro cutscene and ending. And that's only those that I know about and remember at the moment too!
It’s not that having voices in a game was rare it’s having fully voiced dialogue and cut scenes was. Just to add examples from what you said: Starfox 64 full voice acting. All dialogue has a voice to it which is awesome. Mario 64 only a few lines. A lot of the dialogue is just text. Mario only says a few things throughout the game. Peach actually says more at the very beginning and end. Conker like Starfox virtually every line has voice acting for every character.
Aside from all the cool things I've read and heard about the cancelled sequel having, I would loved to have seen Don Weaso getting killed by Conker to avenge Berri. I'm not gonna lie, I kinda wanted to kill Don Weaso myself after I saw him kill Berri. To see Conker go all John Wick on Don Weaso would really kick ass. Would loved to have seen Berri brought back as that cyborg mad scientist as well
I swear that Rare must have wanted this game to be a stoner comedy but Nintendo must have given a big "Hell No" I mean seriously, the game is crazy, a bunch of random shit happening everywhere, and pop culture references through the roof, this is the type of stuff you would expect from like a Harold & Kumar movie lol
Funny take, Conker isn't the one who is swearing in this game. It's almost everyone around him that is the swearing type, Conker just loves to drink beer and get wasted but he barely even swears except for a few mild words here and there.
@@PaperBanjo64 Out of the 7 Deadly Sins, Conker seems to display only 2 or 3. Greed obviously because of the collecting the money is also part of the game's story progression. Lust because not only Berri but also the cave babe Jugga and even Sunflower plant that he bounces on. And Sloth, because he drank so much he got wasted.
37:34 as far as I remember from various sources, Louise Ridgeway (voice of Berri) did the animation for this scene, and remembers it was so tough to do, so she simply had a nightmares about squirrels cut in half, and all that stuff related to the cutscene, so yeah... but still it's nailed pretty good.
the Scouse dung beetles still make me tear up laughing, "aallllright, who's diz?" "looks like ehh iz one o dem sqrills!" "I reckon we shud kick da shidoudofem!" "arrright well wait til 'e comes over arright?" "okay den.....yeh.." 🤣🤣🤣
As I had read from a backstory, Professor Von Kriplespec secretly put an alien egg inside the panther king’s milk carton and that’s how the alien got inside the king, so when in the final space scene, the alien pops out of the kings chest and kills him. So yeah it seems the professor was behind it all.
@@jiggylookback yeah it’s usually not explained much throughout most sources like the strategy guides, but most information about the professor or the alien state that it was indeed the professor who put the alien egg inside the panther king’s milk before the heist (and its war) chapter.
have you ever thought about doing a video exploring what if any content, music, textures, assets, models, etc from conker 64/twelve tales made it into bad fur day? It's something i've always been curious about.
That does sound dope. I’m not sure how I could exactly do that but I’d keep it in mind. Stuff like that im limited by what’s available online unless I can get the creators to do an interview. I’ll look into it tho!
I plan on acquiring it and playing through then making a VS video on it if you’ve seen that series from me! I’ll directly compare the two! It’s just a matter of time
Im on a Conker binge recently! Just bought an OG Xbox with the game and complete twice back to back LMAO i played this game so much as a kid on N64 and somehow forgot about it growing up. I enjoy LAR better than BFD because of the controls and graphics (AND im not a graphic guy at ALL). Xbox version has an unmatched charm imo. Multiplayer will always be the GOAT on N64 but the one player game is better in LAR
Do you know about insignia? It’s the recreation of the Xbox live service. You can play conker online still. I followed their discord and got connected. Gonna be playing some L&R online soon. All you really need is a usb dongle for your Xbox which is super cheap and to follow the tutorial.
Always saw this at the local rental store and was always so curious about it but could never bring myself to ask my parents to rent it for me (i grew up on Mortal Kombat and GTA 3 but the adult sticker felt huge to Lil Dark). Fast forward to age 16 and went to visit my Nana in Texas and the man she was dating at the time gave me his extra copy of Live and Reloaded for the Xbox. I should've asked man. This game was hilarious and for me it was pretty easy but a lot of my childhood games were Crash, Spyro, OG Ninja Gaiden, etc. So small wonder i developed a good amount of skill with platformers and collectathons
Thanks for doing this video! Conker, will be,one of my favorite videogame characters ever.Is sad that we wont see the sequel anyyday....at last i hope a leaked twelve tales rom prototype online.
Thanks so much for watching!! That would be dope! Maybe someday Conker will come back in some form! Have to wait and see! The Twelve Tales rom would be sweet to get hands on!!
