I was 15 when I seen Metallica open for Ozzy right when master of puppets came out. This was 1986. They kicked Ozzys ass with raw aggression back then.

This was my first concert. Master of Puppets hyped me up. I later went to see Guns N’ Roses in Hershey Park not long after. Wish I went to the second Metallica concert, but it was still the best night of my life. 🤘🏻🎸
Very nice. I saw Both as well. Not my first concert. Without Slash Guns would have been like a garage band. That being said they played 3 1/2 hours which is very admirable. It was very good because of Slash. Metallica loves playing those songs and you should be able to tell from hearing them play. I saw Red hot chili peppers last year and it was like a chore for them.

Im 18 this was my second metal concert. My first was Motley Crue but it wasn’t up to this level of absolute insanity and shear energy from these guys that could be my grandparents. Truly incredible experience. 20/10 would recommend.
first of all motley isn't metal to me 2nd this band was metal until the load album actually the kings of metal until Hammit took place of Dave and cliff died
@@jasonmiller4046 Metallica are still the kings of Metal. Their last four albums so far have been metal. Their first five are metal as well. Their least metal moment is still more metal than Mötley Crüe anyway.

So similar to me. I first show was crue fest back in 08 or 09 and then I saw Metallica September 29 2009 as my second show. I was 15 at the time. 14 years later I finally get to see them again!
I always love how after the solo in Creeping Death the crowd immediately goes into the "Die" chant......Legends!!!!!

Indeed. I’ve seen Depeche Mode, the Cure, Tool, Meshuggah and of course Metallica. All in their late fifties, early sixties and killing it. It’s really cool to see.

Basketball arena is the way to go. Open stadiums sound like crap.
While I agree sound quality is best in a small indoor venue, you can't get 80,000 fans in a small arena. I was commenting on the overall experience. The best show I saw was at RPI FIELDHOUSE in 1989.

I was there last night! It was insane when they Kirk went to the solo in seek and destroy, me and my buddy SCREAMED! It was an awesome night for my first Metallica concert ever!

TY so much, I had Floor/Pit tickets but in March I had a nasty bout of Diverticulitus and had 9" of my Larg Intestine (sigmond Colon) removed and I have a temp Colostomy bag on my belly as I heal. Early Sept I go back for reversal surgery. I had to sell my tickets as I am on disability with no Disability Insurance. I been in a funky mood as I am unable to go :( I have seen Metallica about 8x, 5 differnt states, NJ/NY/PA/CA and also Munich Germany. Thank you for the recording.

And for the length of the tour, chopping in some alternative picking here and there each night is a smart move. 👍 The Man just smashed into his 60th Year the other day, and knows he doesnt have to DownStroke like its 1986 to play and plough through the song. Their European leg of this tour went down an absolute Storm. New material sounded and looked great.

Its crazy it takes old bands like Pantera and Metallica to bring metal to this new age.. legends..their isn't many new bands i consider legends yet..sad.. korn Metallica Pantera are all still bringing it

In Europe was super light when they started , 9-10 pm still bright. Darkness is nice😇

At the end of the show lars said that jersey was the first state metallica ever played in on the east coast. Town was old bridge. Thought that was pretty cool
