Hope you enjoy the video, all covid guidelines were followed to do this walk - hopefully things will improve in the coming months 🏔 all the best, James
Great video. Klibreck was my dad's favourite mountain . . . he was born in Lairg in 1914 and took me up when I was five in 1952. I've climbed it half a dozen times since then and scattered my dad's ashes around the larger cairn on the first peak, Cnoc Sgriodain, at midnight in late June 1987. I now live in Vancouver but get back to Sutherland every year to walk the magic hills. In 2019, I climbed Suilven, Cul More, Ben More Assynt, Conical and Quinag some 53 years after I first climbed them. Hoping to get back there later this year, vaccinations and quarantines permitting!
@@rogerwatt8491 thanks for sharing Roger, it really is a great place. Can see why it would have been your dad’s favourite, hopefully things get better in the coming months and you can get back there. Thanks for watching, All the best, James
great video, with good weather you got some good views. thanks for sharing . PS don't like the way you carry your ice axe in your pack, could lead to a sair heid
This reminds me what a great hill this is particularly in weather like that - beautiful. Sadly many reserve it for a poor weather day and don't get that feel at all.
Beautiful video! We’ve got some gorgeous mountains just outside of Tucson, Arizona where I live, but I like watching videos like these of other places. Keep your content coming! I’m following!
@@andrewwalker6449 thanks, good effort! Hopefully we will be allowed into different areas in the next few months, I have really enjoyed doing the north ones so far, need to get stuck into Glencoe when things get better 😄
Great video! I really enjoyed doing Klibreck - did it in the afternoon after having done Hope in the morning. The remoteness of Sutherland is something else 😃
Thanks! Ah sounds good, I did half think about that but lack of winter hours put me off a little - yes the remoteness is crazy. Looking forward to doing Ben Hope! (might leave it until last) Atb, James
How tough a hike is this? I’ve seen Steven Fallon rank it in his top 10 hardest but it seemed like a jokey reason. Looking to visit my gran’s (she stays in Dornoch) and get in a round of golf. Looking to bag this and Ben Wyvis during the trip. I can’t see Ben Wyvis being a struggle at all but the only hardish hikes I’ve done so far were the full east 6 of Glenshee and Lochnagar on its own (going to give the circuit a crack Tuesday). Is there anything particularly technical or is it just a bit of a boggy slog?

Thanks for watching John, I know what you mean, my bag has no bottom loops to hold it the other way so need to figure something out! Atb, James

Hi James, again a really nice video. Not sure why you ranked it more or less so low - the pictures are stunning! Atb
Thanks again for watching, maybe a bit harsh on the score! The views were amazing but maybe not as dramatic as other mountains 😂 atb, James
@@ScottishMunroJourney hehe you are just spoiled 😂😂😂
@@StripeyHatGuy 😂 too many beautiful mountains up North, okay I update it to 7.5/10 then 😂
@@ScottishMunroJourney 👍🤣
Good stuff mate
Another great wee film James! What's your aim for this year? I am hoping to reach 100 munros if we can travel again 👌
Cheers Paul, I am aiming for the 100 mark too, off to a slow start so far though 😂 hopefully get some big days out in summer! Atb, James

This isn’t too bad, just a bit boggy and a few false summits.. Ben Wyvis is pretty easy too at 4-5 hours 😁 Enjoy! James
Shoooeperbos 😎
going for this and ben hope in the same day next month , should be doable with an early start ,then ben more assynt and conival later in the week 🖕
Yes should be doable in a day - enjoy 😁
