Yay! A new video. I love this channel, and it inspired me to climb my first Munro a few weeks ago. Climb but not ‘bag’ - bad weather and the promise of approaching lightning storms made me make the hard decision to turn back about 15 minutes from the summit. Looking forward to heading back to the highlands soon and having another go. Thank you for your beautiful videos - I can only imagine how much time and effort goes into the filming and editing.
Every video reminds me of the fact that I have to get a drone some day- phenomenal shots, definitely the weather for it. I finally got those pants, btw!
250! Such a good effort. From a selfish point of view I'm really hoping you carry on with the videos once the Munros are bagged. Corbetts maybe?! And if you wanted to invite some viewers to join you on one of your last Munros...
Well done. I did it in the other direction, the walk down is more pleasant that way There’s no minimum drop for a Munro to be a Munro. It was subjective opinion by Sir Hugh at the time of a mountain’s “character”
Congratulations, what an achievement. Not only have you done 250 but you have documented it so well. Your honest opinions about feeling ecstatic or uneasy sometimes in combination with varied photography really makes it feel like we're along for the ride. Good journey rest of the way.
Very well done @ 250, James - and congrats on the 10,000 subscribers, too. If you've kept records, it will be interesting to find out the total distance and total ascent you've covered since Munro 1. And what about you? You're obviously very athletic now, but were you always reasonably slim and fit?
Hi James, many congratulations on the 250 and the 10K subs, fully deserved. Another beautiful days adventuring in the mountains. All the best, Dave 😀⛰🥾🏴
When did you do this hike ? I was up Beinn Fhada on May 4th , with very similar weather .. And A' Ghlas-bheinn before it with blue skys and an inversion east of it ..then everything clouded up 😱
@@ScottishMunroJourney hate to break it to you , but I don't think you did the 5 sisters.. Once you get to the top from the first ascent there is a sister about half a mile on the opposite direction from the munros , left other than right .. Because I left that out after doing the Brothers and the sister munros , couldn't be arsed detouring out to it and back so just dropped down where you came up .
Absolutely brilliant as always James, congratulations on completing 250 munros & the 10k subscriber's too.. well deserved they are too. Thanks as always & stay safe out there on the high ground 🏴
The 5 Sisters is an awesome walk, but I prefer doing it the other way to get the views to the west. This was my first ridge walk back in 1986, and the South Cluanie Ridge on the south side of the glen was my second. No real exposure or scrambling, but high level walking and amazing vistas.
This is one of the most beautiful high mountain walks I have done, in the 90s in and out of cloud We hitch hiked from the youth hostel.A vey long day oot
Another fine video, thank you ever so much, James! And my congratulations for both of your milestones. I have seen most of your videos and I appreciate your work and your competences as a film maker very much. As always: I‘m looking forward to seeing more…
I did the traverse the way you've done. After the initial climb up to the ridge, which seemed endless, it opened up and was a brilliant walk. I was amazed at how steep some of the drops were to the NE.
Another top day and video, James. With only having just 3 to go now, make sure you leave some easy days for the end! There are some fine Corbetts to be had once you finish. I recently went to rum and had one of the finest hill days ever doing the rum cullin
Fantastic, enjoy your remaining munros! I do have a good mix, unfortunately a fair distance to drive for a few of them 😂 I will definitely explore some of them in the future.. Cheers, James
Hi James... besides observing your hiking activities on a very thin mountain ridge, you have also shown a very beautiful natural panorama, I like your videos James..., nice to meet you, I am Rudy from Indonesia......
You and Murray have the best munro hike videos on UA-cam by far. I love watching them. I'm lay in my bed in Mexico on holiday getting my munro fix before I nod off. Can't wait to get back to Scotland and those munros.
Quality video as always, fully deserving of more than 10k subscribers! I did the West Highland Way last September, and I'd definitely recommend it. You could easily add in a few Munros to the route for some extra challenge, if you wanted to
Wow what fantastic views first thing, just a pity it clouded over. It doesn't matter which way you do these hills it is steep up and steep down but well worth it. I am not yet convinced by these 360 cameras, they do accentuate the drops and look artificial - I much prefer your footage with the GoPro(?). Thanks for the video and look forward to the next one.
The footage taken and vlogs produced will be a great reminder of these adventurers in your dotage James😅 Decades ago this technology wouldn't have been affordable or to heavy to haul over the tops by yourself. Well done on 250 & 10k
Nice vid mate😎! Good to see the sisters again as they were the first Munro’s I did on the west coast! After completing them I dropped down into the north glen and walked back to the car along a Land Rover track as car was parked at Morvich! 👍🏻
Have a guess where I am right now! Recovering in my motorhome in Morvich after doing the 5 sisters three days ago! My legs still hurt! But I am 55 and a tad chunky! 😂 I had better weather than you but you still had a great day! 👍. I actually did it the same way as you too. Brilliant video yet again. 👍
Hey chap, don't worry about the chunky. We're all getting there! That is a massive day out. Took us 12 hours 20 years ago. Started out fine, but halfway along the ridge the weather changed into a bloody monsoon. Got absolutely soaked on the last munroe, made it back to the pub around 9pm only to say they had stopped serving food at 8-30. Peanuts and several bags of crisps for dinner. Shit load of beer, too, as well. 90% of the day was fine. The last hour was dreadful. Brilliant day out though. Cheers, Ozzy.

It'll still be there the next time you can make it. Good on you, safety first.
Well done.
Good choice. Highlands aren’t going anywhere soon, always available for a second round.
You have done really well West Highland Way is Fantastic. Thank you.
Another fantastic day on the hill James, just a shame the cloud spoiled some of the views but what a beautiful ridge.
Every video reminds me of the fact that I have to get a drone some day- phenomenal shots, definitely the weather for it. I finally got those pants, btw!
Congratulations on the 10k subs and 250 munros. I love this channel. It's like therapy for me till I can get up to the Highlands again.

Well done nice video trust me many of the Corbetts are better than munro’s and you always have Snowdonia crib couch and Tryfan are awesome
Another great video
What's going to be your last munro to complete on.
Congrats on the 10k as well, well deserved. Really love your videos, absolutely inspiring me to start my own munro journey!!👌🫶
Congratulations, what an achievement. Not only have you done 250 but you have documented it so well. Your honest opinions about feeling ecstatic or uneasy sometimes in combination with varied photography really makes it feel like we're along for the ride. Good journey rest of the way.
Terrific milestone! Congrats! You are doing an excellent job with these videos! Slàinte Mhath :)
Thank you 😁

Thank you Paul 😁 I do have a record of distance etc, I will probably add it to the final videos 😁 Cheers, James
Great walk! Did the Affric/Kintail way back in May, unfortunately ran out of time. Another day!
Well done James, 32 to go, what do you have picked out for your compleation?
you should climb a mountain with scotland mountains Murray UA-cam

Haha, just looked back and this was May 4th, you will know the feeling then 🤣👍
@@ScottishMunroJourney there was something about it, even the forecast of rain about 3pm.

Congratulations on 10.000 subs (now 10.3) James! And happy to hear you plan to continue creating content after all the munros are bagged
Thank you 😁🏔

Good day James, we did it the other way , we got a lift and left the car at the bottom. There are some super Corbett, Assynt and Ardnamurcham 😀
Congrats on the 10K subs, James. Cracking video and I can't wait to see what you get up to once you've compleated.
This is spectacular man, absolutely brilliant trail!
Congratulations on 10k subscribers, and 250 Munro’s bagged, well deserved, always enjoy watching your videos. Much appreciated, thank you.

Another great video James! Thoroughly enjoy watching these 😁
Brilliant video as always James. Looking forward to seeing the next one 👍
Great footage. Getting close to your goal of all the Munro’s. Well done.
One of my favorite areas , love all the hills there ... I did the Brothers with the sisters , easy to add on ..
Another great video James.⛰️
Great day James, love it. Neil & Rachel
