That’s why I love your videos Nika! Cause they’re actually helpful, it’s not just a looong list of nice phrases , you always give people actual “exercises” of thing to do! Trust me I think it’s so helpful when you want to start being the best version of yourself but at first it’s easy to feel lost and not know where to start 🫶🏻
What if I want to change my values? E.g. I am very much into budgeting and being financially independent, but I truly want to have fun and just enjoy my life? I am attracted to people like 'Sarah' but in this scenario I am still 'you', so 'Sarah' would reject me and my wish to do smth with them? That's really heartbreaking 😞
i think what i’m struggling with is people who USED to value and care for me no longer doing so. How do you navigate that? I have people who used to think the world of me suddenly not wanting me around anymore - with no change to my personality or circumstances. I can’t pinpoint why exactly this happens and it’s difficult to move past bc of that.
Usually it's about them, not you. They can change, their values has changed, their lifestyle has changed. And if they don't want to explain that, it's up to them not you. You can ask them though.
There is a saying “everyone is you, pushed out”. I find it helps to look at the beliefs I’m having about people, what are the stories I’m telling myself in my head about them? Like “they don’t want to be around me anymore, etc”. Working on your self concept can turn this around. Deciding, and telling yourself over and over until you believe it that you are the person that people love to be around, that anyone would be lucky to have you as a friend, that the people in your life always stay and they value your friendship, etc. Look up self concept meditations on UA-cam 💕. Everything begins with you, it is not about them.
