@@muqeetamjad8025 I am very sorry you have stage 3 CKD. I hope this information can help! The lab here cites normal levels as 44-80. Here are my numbers: In 2017 eGFR 47.25, Creatinine 103.00, in 2018 eGFR 46.57, Creatinine 104.00, in 2019 eGFR 52.81, Creatinine 93.00, in 2020 eGFR 54.68, Creatinine 90.00, in July 2021 eGFR 65.26, Creatinine 77.00. I changed my diet to vegan/vegetarian in early 2019 at the suggestion of my acupuncturist, because of a difficult health problem. But a year later in early 2020 I added meat back to my diet. As the year went on I changed to keto. So I have done keto now for a year. In 2019 I also eliminated sugar from my diet. My kidney problem was very mild. But I still had to see a nephrologist twice a year. I really hope keto can help you! Dr Berg’s and Dr Eckberg’s videos are very helpful for me. Best wishes to you!

@@SandraHof your issue wasn't as problematic as I have and you made a good recovery alhumdulilah. Your lab normal range is 44-80 it means you already has a good egfr or may be it is called stage 1 ,am I right? How your life is now and did you have protein or blood in urine? Thank you for your kind response.

My 8 year old has kidney disease. He is on his third year with a transplant but it is failing. I have noticed these signs within him especially the nausea and vomiting. He will likely end up on dialysis soon or need another transplant. ☹️ I wish everyone realized how important the kidneys are.

    • @Kleinochsenfurter
      @Kleinochsenfurter 4 роки тому +34

I'm so sorry to hear. Yeah transplants are no cure unfortunately. They are really just another form of 'treatment '. Maybe he can get another before he needs dialysis. I have a friend and he had his 15 yrs. So maybe your sons next one will last longer. 😇
I don't think anybody understands what kidneys are responsible for until they've lost all function. And then it still doesn't sink in with some.

If you're watching this you already know Allopathic medicine only treats symptoms and not the root cause of the problem, the big pharma corporations and the current medical industry is designed on this concept. Preventative medicine practices like, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Unani practices are the only way forward for humanity as has been for thousands of years.
Dr Berg is leading the way in bringing awareness to the masses!

Thank you for this, perfect timing. I have been doing keto with a little IF for over 2 years, but slipped into more proteins, than I should be eating. I lost 40 lbs, but couldn't get any further. I am 63, and no gall bladder. Just had blood tests, and I'm up to stage 3 now with my kidneys and my glucose levels/A1C were up since last test 8 mo. ago.. I have been no sugar, very low carbs for all this time, but I read that too much protein can cause the glucotoxicity also. (I think this is the word) I am going to start taking bile salts, doing longer IF (20/4) and cut back to 5 oz protein per day. I will also get the supplement you mentioned here. I do get my veges every day in a big salad with good oil too.
Thank you and God bless you for sharing the gift of knowledge.

Thank you. I also a 'A' blood type, but dont know what to eat vegetarian that would be protein and low carb. I still enjoy meat and have not been a fish eater. Tofu is soy, and beans to high in carbs. I did buy some canned sardines and am trying to eat it in my salad. Forcing myself rather. I do eat a variety of veges, raw and roasted, and if I dont eat a protein, I'm not a happy camper. I was eating too much, that is for sure, 2 to 3 meals so cutting it to 1 meal a day. Just because its low carb doesnt mean eat as much as you like😊
Thank you again for your input.

Thank you very much for this explanation Dr. Berg! It's very important to raise the awareness for CKD, one of most underestimated and most dangerous diseases of our times! Just wanted to add one thing, I always tell people in my channel to be wary of the risk factors for CKD more than the symptoms.
When you see the symptom it is already TOO LATE.
So try to understand what are your risk factors for CKD (diabetes, high blood pressure, smoking, obesity etc.) and GET CHECKED REGULARLY if you have any.

Mainly I started decocting Astralagus and Angelica root in vodka and also as tea in a pressure cooker. Still drank a lot of alcohol [evenings as a stress reducer from a nutty wife] but still, GFR kept rising. really amazing. I also took cinnamon, dandelion root an leaves in teas, and garlic fermented in honey. Always with the real herbs, forget the pills. My doctor is amazed and inquiring.

I put in six filters on my city water line into my home. 2 Pre-Filters (sediment,) 2 Carbon filters (removes Chlorine) and 1 heavy metal and 1 Fluoride filter. I was blown away by how wonderful the water tasted. The two pre-sidiment filters were brown just after fifty gallons. I was shocked. I thought how my Kidney's much be thanking me as they did not have to filter all the junk out of the water. I just ordered a table top electric distiller for the final stage in having clean water to drink. I will be adding Liquid Trace Minerals along with Iodized, Sea and Himalayan Salt in very small amounts to the Distilled water as these minerals healed my back and my knee pain completely. The water now taste so good and the distilled water is, I am sure, going to be out this world free from all the pollutants that get into our water.

So as far as I can tell, those are good numbers. I do have a metallic taste in my mouth but I believe it is due to my poor dental hygiene(long story ). Mainly I started decocting Astralagus and Angelica root in vodka and also as tea in a pressure cooker. Still drank a lot of alcohol [evenings as a stress reducer from a nutty wife] but still, GFR kept rising. really amazing. Dr Berg, could you please do a video on Proteinuria? my husband was diagnosed with Proteinuria six months ago and is now taking a pill for hypertension every night to lower the levels of protein in he kidneys, he doesn't suffer from hypertension but apparently both are related, and for a time his blood pressure had a tendency to go unhealthily up (a medication send by his nephrologist of course) but I'd like to know ways of hopefully reverse this condition and take better care of it. Thank you so much for all the great content you share.

My gfr then was 26 but with the help of meds i'm now in the 30's, I'm also a diabetic which had readings of 50+ which i'm now 41. Apart from getting Gout attacks from mild to severe I try to lead a normal healthy lifestyle

Hi Dr Eric Berg. I assume that your video is in regards to Chronic Kidney Disease. I understand that your videos are for entertainment purposes only however I would like to comment that a person may not have any of those 7 early warning signs but still be in stage 4 kidney disease. In addition, your video mentions to measure creatine in your blood...however, the test [or so my doctors tell me] is to measure the creatinine level. In regards to creatine, there has been no mention by any of my doctors [nephrologists] per blood and urine tests that creatine is even considered. The focus has been on creatinine levels as creatine has NEVER been mentioned or included in any Renal Panels. Another area that a person needs to limit is their protein intake, as protein causes the kidney to work harder.

Hi Dr.Berg. About a year and half ago, two simple kidney cysts were discovered in my left kidney during an ultrasound for another medical reason. That medical problem was quickly resolved with antibiotics, but the cysts remain in my kidney. My doctor has told me it's nothing to worry and that nothing can be done about them anyway, unless I get blood in the urine, can't urinate and develop a fever. I of course don't want it to get to that point, but I think I might be at greater risk of this happening. The reason is because I've become passionate about bodybuilding. Not to the point of becoming a professional, but I like to try and hit the gym three times a week and have a protein shake afterwards. Anyway, I wonder if you have any recommendations for kidney support, and so that I can keep bodybuilding. P.S. is astragalus safe to use as a preventive supplement? Id so, what dosage would you recommend?
