Family Engagement: What is Family Engagement? What Does It Look Like in the Healthcare Space?

Family Engagement, as defined by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), is when patients, families, their representatives, and health professionals work in active partnership at various levels across the healthcare system to improve health and health care. During this webinar from the National Genetics Education and Family Support Center’s Workgroup on Inclusion, speakers will discuss the importance of family engagement with diverse families, how it currently looks in the healthcare realm, and what improvements can be made to better engage diverse families in the future.
