It doesn't matter how well you think out your camper, only after you live in it for a while do you realise what you actually need and how to organise things. Good to see the 2.0 version!
Really class. Great to see it all come together. Nice to see someone turning a defender into a camper without breaking the bank too. Restoring a series 3 that’s been in the family since before I was born, so I appreciate the hard work and perseverance that goes into a build like this
Nice build ! Defender is my little dream, I hope that one day I m gonna build something like this for me and my son ! I m glad that I found your channel, thank you !
You make me to rethink the campering ideas.... Great job mate!!! Really I'm impressed. Unfortunately I need a camper for 4 people to live in so I can't have same as yours.
Beautiful work, Congratulations for the Defender conversion and you tiny garage.. Three things I think you have to do.. fit a fridge, instal a grey water tank underneath the sink (there is enough space inside the wheel arch) and install a diesel heater (I don’t know if you have installed yet). A great solution is the sliding window on the rear door!! Best wishes from Tuscany!!
Just so inspired by this Jack Old chap! Have been binge watching your channel getting so much inspiration and motivation to do my 110! Amazing Old chap! 🙏 TSD Huge well done.
Awesome! How big/wide is the space between the couch and the kitchen cabinet (in cm or inches)? And is it sufficient or would you prefer wider? I’m building my Landy for full time living, so wanna utilize the most, but still being able to walk (alucab ripoff top)
Now it's BORIS THE DEFENDER 3.0! I think you did an excellent job with the new camper build. There are some pretty nifty solutions! I thought about doing the same thing with a stainless steel salad bowl (I ended up buying a small sink) but awesome to see the idea works out just great! Might steal some other ideas for my own Defender Camper build 😉Cheers!
Great job and even more impressive that you're working with just two power tools. For the LED they sell aluminum extensions that the stops sit in and you can put a diffuser over it so it's not too much glare from the lighting elements
Nice job! Question: when completely stripped, you have those two "benches" down each side of the floor. Apart from the wheel arches, is there anything in there? Or is it empty space that could be used for additional storage? 👍
Excellent work! Just about to start doing my 110 and you've given me some great ideas :-) Do you have a link for the water tank/tap? That looks like a perfect fit :-)
Lovely - I am very impressed. I assume that you properly fused that wiring which goes behind the passenger side panel? Last thing you need is a short there and the wires catching fire. For the under counter lights - I'd have been tempted to put a reed switch on those so that the light comes on whenever you open the doors. A future improvement, maybe - and it'll free up the buttons for other things.
Looks nice for a tight space and 100 % better than before now you need buy a diesel heater for winter months I like fall & winter camping over hot weather
Great build, can you tell me where you bought the 10mm silver insulation, there is lots out there but some bad reviews, yours look like it sticks really well.
Cracking job! Rather motivating. How much of the electrics run off the Jackery and how much off the main battery (I'd be afraid of running that flat)? I take it there is a solar panel on the roof and the cool box is electric?
Great video, thanks for taking the time to put it together. Just wondered how much, if any, consideration do you have to give to the weight you are adding? Thanks.
Great video and great inspiration for what is possible in a limited space. i'm thinking of getting a 110 as a stealth camper but worried about sleeping length as i am over 6 foot. i have converted a bongo before so not too bothered by design and fab. how did you find it when camping?
@@BorisTheDefender cheers, i'm definitely used to sleeping diagonally everywhere i go, it'll only be for cheeky weekends etc so i'm sure i'll cope. keep up the content, loving your defender and adventures.
Is the whole space underneath the left and right "benches" already occupied with something? If not, you could have used these 2 hollow cavities in front the wheel wells to gain an extra m³ interior room...
Great video, nice job. Not my cup of tea but immediately after watching I was staring into space eating a mince pie, thinking about my 109 and the overnight camp set up I’ve got that means I can use it as a shit wagon for the rest of the year. This entails building a swing away rear spare carrier. And the problem there is my number plate is offside and the tyre could just about obscure it. Thanks to to your vid I’ve now had a solution pop into my head. Have a numberplate and light which attaches to the spare when the spares outside when I’m using it as a camper ( like a bike carrier on the back of an estate should have) mounting problem solved, and your video started that mental ball rolling 👍happy Christmas!
Hi , thanks for making the video very entertaining I'd like to echo all the comments below.... Fantastic straightforward layout. Big thumbs up from me 😊. .... I was just wondering if some of that black bungie net type stuff would work well across the water bottle instead of 1 bungee strap??? 😜
This was really fun to watch. I love going camping and this would be an amazing vehicle to go play in! I love how you used the space. It feels SO spacious for being such a small area. I feel so inspired. Thanks for sharing!!
Having recently subscribed to your channel I'm really loving the content. I think that you've done an amazing job fitting the new layout. Sorry to hear about your father's passing but a nice touch to dedicate this to him. Looking forward to seeing you in future Vlogs.
Thank you so much for inspiring me! I want to convert but too many choices and not sure which way to go! I love that water tank and pump set! I like that you did not make too many holes to secure things.
Very nice work and very inspiring. I'm planning to redo a few things on my DEFENDER. Can I just ask where you can get the opening window for the fifth door? Thank you very much and I wish you many successful kilometers.
I haven't watched this build for more than ten minutes before because I want to use my defender as a five seater rather than a two seater. I am. glad I took the time to watch it all the way through because I learned a lot and you gave me ideas how to make my landy right for me rather than trying to duplicate someone else. Many thanks
Excellent work! The carpet is reminiscent of the one in “The Office”. I wonder, how has all the added weight reflected on the performance of the car on and off road?
Great instructional build video. Some good ideas. Question.. Where did you get the rear door sliding window? I would like to do the same with my 110 Hard top. Thanks..

Almost certainly the only LR Defend 110 with a mahogany dado rail. Nice work.
I LOVE This!! Can’t wait to see Boris one day! X
Ayyyy thank you so much! You must! Maybe even borrow for a night!

You did a good video here. Nice to see the full process with enough detail to get a proper idea of what you di.
I've watched a lot of designs but this is the most practical and simple way of building. Great Idea
Boris!! Fantastico tu trabajo ! Is posible some measures of interiors ? Muchas gracias !!!
Dude, just wow! The doors are a good touch, I did the same and haven’t regretted it, this vid is great!

Cleanest & usefull design i eves seen, love the details too, really good works dude ✌️
Thanks a ton! Tried to make it as usable as possible
Would extending the cabin rearward be viable? Like a porch, to take off boots, wet coats, then have a inner slide door to get to the camper.
Brilliant work Jacko!

Boris, Your setup is amazing! Where did you find the green pouche under the axe ?
Hey there thank you! It’s from exmoor trim :)
Nice!💎✨👌Yeah that thicker insulation is so much better!✨👍 This is the ultimate stealth camper car! #Defender👑

Great build, can you tell me where you bought the 10mm silver insulation, there is lots out there but some bad reviews, yours look like it sticks really well.
I just got it off of eBay actually. Seemed to do the trick :)
Great vid and a lovely tribute to your father, all the best
Cracking job! Rather motivating. How much of the electrics run off the Jackery and how much off the main battery (I'd be afraid of running that flat)? I take it there is a solar panel on the roof and the cool box is electric?
Yeah the main battery has been brilliant. Bought with it installed in 2019 and doesn’t let me down.
Only addition camping and charging comes from the Jackery, I soon may use the Jackery for a fridge
Great video, thanks for taking the time to put it together. Just wondered how much, if any, consideration do you have to give to the weight you are adding? Thanks.
