- This is my latest 2021 version of "Reflections of Earth". This is a 4k Multicam edit with a multichannel studio soundtrack and is a HUGE upgrade to my previous three older versions.

What I love about this show is that it's so very Epcot. It's not a commercial for Disney, it's not designed to profit off our nostalgia - it's just about people. I'd love to see Epcot lean into that idea again someday.

There is no reason this needed to be discontinued....it was like an attraction. No one got tired of it, it was the perfect ending of an EPCOT day and it's theme, and wrapped up the park in a spectacular display. Nothing has ever compared.

There will never ever be a show like reflections of Earth. This was the pinnacle. The greatest. I’ve yet to see anything to come close.

Wow, that was spectacularly done and brings back a flood of memories. I had the opportunity to work in the College Program back in 2000/2001 with Epcot as home for me . I took joy in watching the show as well as seeing guests immersed it. This video pays pays wonderful homage to this show and we beautifully done. Thanks for giving it the royal treatment it deserves!
For me, this show is the grand master of all Nightime Spectaculars.
I worked at International Gateway in the evenings for many years. Loved seeing this show every time I worked. Heartbroken it is over. Thank you for the great video of it. It'll live on forever!
Wow. Well done. It wasn't until I took the World Showcase guided tour that the true storyline to this show was explained. And it was really fascinating. Act I, Chaos, represented the creation of the planet before life; hence the staccato music, fireworks, and red lighting. Act II, Order, represented the beginning of life, ending with Homo sapiens and the human story; a change in fireworks and lighting colors help bring a sense of habitation. Act III, Meaning, featured the "We Go On" song, meant to inspire the viewer. Our tour guide specifically mentioned the flame. I hadn't realized this prior to the tour, but there are 19 torches around the lagoon, each meant to represent the common era (CE) centuries, each numbered. The globe's torch represents the 20th century. And you, the viewer, were meant to take the inspiration from the show--and specifically the concept of the flame--out into the world to create a 21st century of peace, harmony, and progress. In the end, you were the 21st torch. That tour added so much to the show afterwards. I wish it was made more apparent to the typical viewer what they were seeing and what it meant. I'm a literal person and would never have caught on, but frisson that night watching the show was unique.
You got it Matt! Y'know,...I'm working on an idea to do an RoE documentary that goes into the details about what every element of this show symbolizes. Believe me,..nothing in this show is arbitrary or an accident. Everything you see has a purpose. Every image, every single firework, all the colors,...everything. We'll see. So grateful I got to see this show right before it got replaced on my first visit to Epcot. I'm admittedly not too dazzled by fireworks usually but IllumiNations blew me away. Could watch over and over. Such a powerfully moving score; Greenaway did such a massively great job.
Have to agree with another comment I saw-the thing that made IllumiNations so special was that it didn't try going the cheap route of just playing recognizable songs from movies or rides like its successors like some greatest-hits playlist. Was an Epcot original through and through.
I would come to the park with my family at least once a month to watch this show when I was a kid. Some of my earliest memories are watching RoE on the bridge in France, and truly this was the first show/attraction that sparked my obsession with EPCOT history. I was there on the final night, and yes, I too got quite emotional when "We Go On" played for one last time. I've probably seen it a hundred times. This was the exact show that inspired me to take up lighting design as a career. Thank you for preserving it so well Cliff. Generations to come will enjoy this show thanks to your work.
Thank you for adding the "screamers" into the audio at the end of the second act. I'll never understand why they took those out - they were just as much a part of the soundtrack as the recorded music.

I can't believe how much I miss Illuminations!!! I use to be a cast member before I joined the Army and would LOVE to stop by EPCOT to end my day with Illumination. Thank you this video brings back special memories for me 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

When I was 4, I thought the "Life" section of the show was Disney spilling a glass of milk in the sky over and over again and having to clean up the milk before the next fireworks could go off
One of my favorite Disney memories is taking my oldest son on his first ever Disney trip and him getting to watch his first ever Fireworks show sitting in my shoulders at the balcony at the Japan Pavillion.
I always wanted to propose to that someone special when the time came during act 3. Just something special about act 3 and the post show feeling just felt perfect to me since the first time I saw it when I was 10. I am really sadden to see it go and I would never be able to see it again and do that one thing. but to the future and hopefully an even better show!

Guys, the video is 4k but when I change the listing to "public" I also added "premiere" to it and I think It's stuck in 1080 for about 20 min. Check back shortly for the 4k playout option.

Saw Luminous last night and while it was beautiful with a wonderful message, and we truly enjoyed it, nothing will match the 'original'. It's like a sequel to a movie, how do you compete with perfection? I also miss the Christmas tag and Walter Cronkite. Thank you for this video and helping keep Illuminations in our memories forever. Like you I have seen it countless times, and it never got old. Thank you again!
Honestly I thought luminous was so much better than this. The slow section with the spinning globe barge felt extremely empty and quite boring.
@@ivansantiesteban-bx8zeI dont think luminous can hold a candle to Illuminations- the score of Illuminations alone is incredible. I would love to see a revamaped version of it with new pyrotechnic effects.
Hands down the absolute best night show at Epcot. My husband got me a fireworks cruise for one of the last shows and I just sat there and cried. This show had so much meaning, most definitely needed in this world of ours today. Harmonious just will never be a show I’ll want to accept. Thanks so very much for letting me relive this beautiful memory again!!

I’d push 1000 times on the Like button if I could. Even after all this time and several Disney nighttime shows, I still think this is one of the best achievements they ever produced. You video gives it all the credit it deserves and I’m happy to be able to relive it from home !

This is a GORGEOUS video and an incredible tribute to a wonderful show! I saw Illuminations Reflections of Earth 3 years ago and I was literally in awe from the moment it started. I cried throughout!! This show is a powerful reminder that we are all interconnected as one global family and that we are truly better together. When one looks at the state of affairs our world is in, it's nice to have a show that serves to remind us all that we are better than all the hateful forces that seek to divide us.
Great video! Having worked on this show and other variations of Epcot's fireworks/laser shows over the years, I've seen my share of videos, but yours gave me goosebumps and got me a little teary eyed. Well done, sir.

Thanks for this amazing video of IllumiNations Cliff. My mum and I watched it on our big TV and we both cried. This is the best recording of this wonderful show I have seen so far.
Also I flew over all the way from Germany to see the last performance back on September 30th 2019.
THAT was a magical evening. It was so sad but I just kept thinking that night how lucky we all were to have this show for 20 years when it was never supposed to last that long to begin with. I REALLY enjoyed talking to all of the RoE "super fans" that night. It just felt great to experience that show one last time with so many people just like us.

We’re so lucky to have you uploading these amazing show edits. Thank you, truly. I first saw IllumiNations for the millennium celebration when I was 10 and I’ve been mesmerized by it ever since. A very special place exists in my heart for this show, particularly the music. It’s like seeing one of my most fond childhood memories in a cinematic experience and it hits me in my SOUL.

I was actually blessed with a parent who works for the company. I myself use to work for the company as well. I watched it with my family, friends, as a teen went on dates to epcot to see it and when I got off from work!!It was amazing and yes I use to cry at the end!! The number one best firework or all time, Fantasmic was second. Beautiful memories that will be missed!! I was fortunate enough to see Illuminations the month before it was cancelled with my childhood friend. I hope they bring it back for a little while in the future so my kids get to enjoy it one day.

I just watched this again. Always get emotional. This show really represents for me our visits to Walt Disney World when our children were little. Each day at EPCOT ended with this show which we really looked forward to each night. Now our kids are grown and the show is gone. I hope this video is always on UA-cam for us to reminisce.

I love this. It’s amazing quality and captures the story and colors perfectly. I also love how you kept the audio from your videos made pre-2014, I really miss hearing the screaming whistlers during the Celebration segment and I was able to pretend that those “twisting cracklers” were the whistlers.
Your Happily Ever After in 8K is awesome! I'm not a fan of multiple angles when comes to fireworks, but that one worked out well. Please post a single 4k wide angle video of Illuminations one day. That would make my day. Oh, a single angle 8k of Ever After would be amazing too! Thanks! subscribed
I do truly miss this show. People miss HEA, I miss it too. This is one of the greatest, if not the greatest nighttime spectacular Disney has ever produced, and seeing it go makes me so sad.

Yeah, Harmonious sucks compared to this. I've avoided watching any videos of IllumiNations since it ended, so this is my first time listening/watching since then. What a nearly perfect show. Always thought that globe part went on a little too long with not much happening but other than that.. Some of the most beautiful music ever composed put to a fantastic show. Not to mention your production quality on this video! So well put together and loved all of the angles.
