Dude, I was unaware about the "normalize" feature in all the softwares, I was blaming basically many mic brands because their sensetivity was too low and almost inaudible until, thanks to you today, I discovered and used that feature editing my videos and the result is a whole world of difference... thanks... Greetings from Colombia 😁
YOU ARE THE MAN! I tried every filter on obs, watched so many tutorials and none of them worked. The nvidia broadcast software must be the magic sauce. FINALLY!
Thank you so much for this video, my quadcast has been cutting out when I laugh on stream and I've been looking for ways to help it and after watching this video it's a lot better and clearer, definitely subbing!!!
Heads up to anyone with a GTX card, Nvidia Broadcast will NOT work on your system + the original Quadcast does NOT have the support of Hyperx Ngenuity (only the S version supports it). Neither of these facts are mentioned.
If it's not mentioned in the video, the thumbnail or the title... Then it's not mentioned anywhere, because that's the content. One does not check video descriptions for information that we don't know the video is missing. OP's comment is perfectly valid and useful for the audience.
omg you are an absolute legend! My hyperx has never sounded so bloody good in it's life! you can't hear a single thing in the background now! this is going to be such a game changer!
DUDE THANK YOU!!! I've been gaming / streaming for a while and I always notice that I can hear my controller when I playback my videos and it drives me crazy!! I had the gain knob going the wrong way!! You just saved me lol appreciate the info!
thank you for this video. super helpful. condenser mics are tricky ones to navigate for sure. But i think ive hit the sweet spot for my voice and audio now
Im not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but your voice sounds like a FFXIV UA-camr named Meoni, very alluring and informative! Keep up the great work!
Thanks man, this video was really helpful a lot better than those videos where they make you download a shit ton of apps for viruses and stuff. Had quadcast S and always got clowned on for background sound and it sounding muffled, now it sounds really clean and smooth.
What a quality in depth video! 90% of the videos on UA-cam about this mic are all just people wanting the publicity of the brand and hype of the look to get views, and they don't offer much more.. will go and do all this and hopefully get rid of the background noise im getting (prolly my pc vibration and my fan noise.. which I never noticed until now how loud the fans are lol)
I want someone to make a settings video for this but for people that play scary games and are loud cause some filters on audio mess up with these recommendations.
Thank you very much! The Quadcast S is my first ever standing microphone so I am very thankful for the super detailed explanation. Sadly the nvidia tip won't work for me as it requires at minimum an rtx 2600 which I do not own but other than that it was very helpful.
Thanks for this! I use the Red Quadcast but I use rtx voice with it too. I have a gtx card. It works very well for keeping background noise out. Also I use audacity to separate my audio but I’ll have to try this out for voice over. I’m always looking to improve my audio because my voice is very minny mouse sounding lol I would like it to have more bass

Would be great if you could make a video on recording using this mic when moving around a lot. For example, when recording my gameplay I will move my head from side to side because I have a big monitor. This means that when I talk into the mic, my mouth is aimed at the centre, the left side, or the right side of the mic, with this position changing. Because I can't keep myself stiff (I've tried), the recorded audio varies in quality. Talking directly to the centre of the mic will sound perfect, but when in any other position, such as the left or right side of the mic, you can barely hear me. And when I say I move to the left or right, these are only slight adjustments, nothing too drastic.
You might just want to change the setting of the microphone to Omni Directional or something. There's a setting on the microphone that registers all the different sides of the mic as the same type of noise and equally leveled. I'm not sure what it's called, but it's one of the notches on the microphone. Should be an easy fix.
Just use a normalizing filter(compressor filter in OBS). Those are meant for balancing the volume whether you're yelling or whispering, so it'll totally compensate for your problem of moving your face away from the mic.
@Nopejedi I know the pain ❤ still a good mic though, and still works well without the app! I use voicemeeter banana with mine to give it more warmth and sounds awesome.
