@@Randyisanerd ha no sailing here just wanted to backup all my physical games again because of the MIG Switch card as all my current backups only contained the main game file lol.
Most straightforward tutorial out there, thank you so very much. 21:17 I was scratching my head as to why Lockpick wasn't generating the title.keys file on mine, and I didn't want to proceed without all the correct files backed up safely. Especially for something like this where small mess ups can cause you, your system…
Thank you! Tried doing it without wasting peoples time because it takes forever to find this info reading. Best part is I have to watch it myself sometimes when I’m doing a new system 😂
Hi sorry to bother you but can anyone help me I’ve installed hats on sd card followed the video everything’s worked but when pressing launch as you say to do near the end of the video it shows up with “no main boot entries found…”
Sounds like you’re missing the hekate_ipl.ini file. Check your root/bootloader folder and make sure it’s in there. This file defines what entries are in that launch menu. You can open it in text editor in windows too. Sometimes when I’m formatting and whatnot some files never make it back onto the sd card. I always send them all over again. Let me know if that works!!!
What is the difference between tegra and this method? Is this method permanent solution to boot into atmosphere when switch is turned off? Like for example when we turn off switch, we have to insert jig and then inject payload using tegra everytime.
With a mod chip, this will work with any version switch, and allow you to switch back and forth between stock and custom with ease. No solution is permanent (Terra, rcmloader, etc) on an early v1 that isn’t chipped.
Hats pack seems to be behind a lot of hoops as of 3 months ago; i don't trust giving my phone number to a random app to possibly access it. Do you have a guide on how to install the contents of the hats pack manually or is it as simple as downloading hekate, atmos, tf and sig patches to an sd card and then inserting the sd card to my modded switch lite?
If you follow this method, no. You do have the option of choosing to put the system files on the sd card (instead of a separate partition) and then that would work. (It’s just more dangerous in the fact that if you accidentally delete one file you’re screwed.)
Try launching a game while holding right bumper. If that doesn’t work, you’re either not in the emummc or hbmenu didn’t get installed properly somehow 🤔
Goodnight. How are you? I hope you are well, I'm from Brazil. Can I insert the SD card with the atmosphere pack the first time I turn it on, make a backup and create a partition (do the whole process) or should I do this with the empty SD card and then transfer the atmosphere pack? May the creator bless you, as always!
Copy the pack to the card, partition, create backup, save backup to pc, move pack content back onto card (sometimes they don’t all survive the partition process) boom
First time modder here. So can I just take the HATS package, put in on an SD card, and stick it in my unmodded, day 1 Switch? Is that what makes it nodded or do I have to do something else first? I can't find a straightforward answer anywhere.
V1 switch you can get an rcm jig and force it into recovery mode, plug it into your pc (or an rcm loader usb device ~$18) and you can then load hekate from the hats sd card. It will stay “modded” until the battery dies or you turn it off. If that becomes too much of a hassle you can add a modchip and it’ll boot to hekate whenever you want it too.
That is a whole process on its own. With this method you can set up the new card just the same, then copy your files over since they are switch specific. You can not however just duplicate cards for any random switch, if that makes sense.
Hi thank you for the great series of tutorials on installing the modchip and getting things setup, I can succesfully boot into hekate however I am having a little trouble with atmosphere. I have followed this video to backup the sysNAND & keys, partition the SD card and setup the emuMMC and I have put the atmosphere files onto the sd card, I have also got the hekate_ipl.ini file in the bootloader folder with the apropriate boot entry for atmosphere. If I try to launch atmosphere's fusee using the launch menu from hekate it just reboots into hekate however if I place fusee into the bootloader/payloads folder and run fusee from the payload menu it boots into atmosphere no problems but obviously ignores the hekate_ipl.ini settings such as emuMMC. Hopefully you or someone in the comments might know how I can fix this. It would also be great if you could do a little rundown video on properly using atmosphere with emuMMC as I personally wich to keep my sysNAND for OFW only. Thanks!
Hey, thanks for the feedback! Are you starting with the HATS package? If hekate is loading and everything is in its place, it should be “chain loading” fusee in the background. Are the entries for CFW and SYS in the “launch” tab? I will be adding your video recommendations to my short list!
