I tried so many different tutotials and I was only getting a yellow screen. Go it to work with yours, I just had to copy the files and create an EMUMMC, since it wasn't jailbroken before, and it worked. Thank you sir.
Nice video! Easy to understand and straight to the point with a detailed explanation step by step. I wish I found your vid when I was upgrading to 18.1.0 too but I managed to update it on my own, albeit with some errors (but I fixed it). I hope you'll make another video about updating to the latest version 19.0.0 when atmosphere is fully released and not on pre-released. You have my sub!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you found the video helpful and easy to follow. It’s great to hear that you managed to upgrade to 18.1.0 on your own, even with some bumps along the way! I definitely plan to create a video for the update to 19.0.0 once it’s fully released. Your support means a lot-thanks for subscribing! Stay tuned!
Bro so far this is the best tutorial i have found on youtube you deserve allot more views! I have a few concerns. My cfw switch that i bought was already jailbroken and now i need to update it. It has some sort of tethered system. It is on AMS 1.5.2|S. When ever it powers off i have to turn it on via RCMU bootloader by injecting payload named fusee via pc. I dont know what method was used to jailbreak my switch its an old v1 BTW. Should i go ahead with this method to upgrade? Will it then become untethered and turn on from off without RCMU boot loader to inject pay load from pc tethering?
I don't have and have never done an update on a switch that requires a bootloader to be injected from a PC. So I don't have any experience with this. But I found a tutorial that might help you update your switch. ua-cam.com/video/jSLa3bVw5oc/v-deo.htmlsi=fvocHD88k8Z_xRRl
is there already an update for Ver. 19.0.1 FW? This is really simple to comprehend. I thought after installing the custom firmware, you have to boot the console to the official firmware and then update from there. such that it is no longer necessary.
The original firmware gets updated when we update via SysNAND. You can also update through the original firmware, but if you do it this way, you'll be directly updated to the latest version without the option to choose the update version. Like in this video, it will automatically update to version 19.xx. Meanwhile, I only want to update to version 18.xx.

Hi, I have one problem about my Nintendo Switch Oled. My Oled is have chip (Hwfly) and It was opening normally (with CFW) until yesterday, but when I opened it today, the Hekate menu did not appear and it only opened as OFW everytime. How can I solve this? 😭
This is a common issue. The cause is a loose connection to DAT 0. You need to take it to a repair shop that handles Nintendo Switch modchip installations
Sure, make sure you download the custom firmware pack for firmware 19.00 and not another version, as it can cause errors. What exactly is the issue with Tinfoil not working? What happens when you try to use it?
What custom firmware pack are you using? If you have a HAT, you need to download one that supports firmware 19.00. You can download it from this link. www.mediafire.com/file_premium/5wfrbe6xusjx3p8/HATS-1.8.0-prerelease-V1.zip/file
@@necrozfynezt I figured it out, I still get that error but pushing power bottom lets me continue, the other issue I’m having now though is that whenever i put it into sleep mode or it goes into it on its own the switch basically shuts off completely, I have to hold down power for 10sec+, wait a few seconds then hold it again and it’ll power on into hekate
@gerardob7289 power doesn't work for me, but if I were in your shoes I woukd go into settings and change everything so that when it's in handheld ir docked it doesn't go to sleep. Mine already had that setting from when I changed my battery it gave incorrect readings and I've had to calibrate it by doing that and letting it drain, etc. Perhaps I woukd have the issue but my sleep is turned off. Hopefully when atnosphere is fully updated everything will return to normal. This video was helpful for the hats pack I've never had that before. Just wish it solved my problem
Hi, thanks for video. I have switch oled and want to update but i am stuck at 7 minutes in your video. When i click sysmmc i only get black screen and nothing happend (only solution is long press power button for turn off console) so i tried go directly to emummc, it ran with updated ams (1.7.1)E but when a tried (many times) update firmware to 18.1 (also tried 17.1) (i have 16.1) it will pass (by daybreak) but when console start everyhing is gone (it also deleted all game from emuMMC/SD00/nintendo/contents) and also doesnt show game what i have in system. Do you know where could be problem or why updating firmware always deleted all ( contents) Thanks
Hi! It sounds like you're facing a tough issue. Can I ask if the custom firmware pack you were using before is different from the one you’re trying to update with? If it is different, have you deleted the folders mentioned in the video? If you’ve done all that and are still having the same problem, you might want to try recreating your emuMMC from scratch. Just keep in mind that doing this will erase all your old data, including games and save files. Let me know how it goes!
@ Hi , first thanks for answer. Yes, it was different, but i deleted all folders what are in video. So i think have two solution, update only ams to 1.7.1 and leave firmware at 16.1.0 and have all data (Games), or update also firmware to 18.1.0 and redownload all games 🤔
Recreating emuMMC should be a last resort, so don't do it just yet. Try to find another way. Use the same custom firmware pack but with the latest version of Atmosphere that supports the firmware version you want to use.
Both OFW and CFW need to be on the same version. If you update your CFW to version 19, then you must also update your OFW to the same version. However, make sure that the custom firmware pack you are using, Atmosphere, supports version 19.00.
Do you have any tips on how to fix: "A fatal error has occured when running Atmosphere. Program ID: 010041544d530000 Error Desc: std::abort() called (0xffe) Failed to save report to the SD card! (0007d202) The atmosphere directory may have improperly have archive bits set. Please try running an archive bit fixer tool."
update: going into hekate setting i was able to find the archive bit fixer tool in the settings and then was able to follow the rest of the video! Thanks
Hi, I have a 17.0.1 OFW that has the PicoFly modchip. I updated to 19.0, and it went well, but I didn't know that Tinfoil wasn't working, so I tried to go back to 17.0.1. Now I'm getting errors when trying to open up CFW eMMC. I was wondering if there is any way I can factory reset my Switch that has a PicoFly chip? I don't care about my game saves.

Good Job!
Thanks!

If you want to turn it on without injecting a payload from a computer, you need to install a mod chip like Picofly or similar.

You can try opening up other config instead of launch. That’s where my custom cfw ended up.
How can you access Hekate w/o rcm?? I can only access mine with rcm
This is a Switch OLED with modchip. You cannot enter RCM. The modchip does this work for you.
