Rachel - Green eyes - In 1968 I met and fell head over heals in love with a wonderful little green eyed lady, she was the farmers daughter, and I was a farmers son so we had a lot in common. In 1969 while hippies were at Woodstock getting high and listening to some of the greatest music ever produced in these United States, I walked my green eyed lady down the isle, and the love that was between us lasted for 51 years and 4 days, ending a couple of years ago when she was taken from my arms by a deadly form of cancer. To this day, when I see green eyes, my heart still breaks at my great loss that day. Now I find that cancer has attacked my old body, but doctors say that if there was a good form of cancer to come this would be it. They took the cancerous kidney from my side and say they got it all. Time will tell but man those wonderful green eyes, GOD how I miss them, and the lovely lady who they belonged to. Oh but it was a great 51 years and 4 days....

The 1-hour stories are just as good as the others. However, they don't have the like button to do list! That makes me laugh almost every time which really cheers me up! That's ok, I'll just watch the other ones when I really want to do so! I also love it when John laughs at something in the middle of a sentence. I went to Russia one night in my sleep. Honestly I felt like I was astrally travelled to Russia and I said to my self "Wow how did I get here? To Russia?'. Such a different feeling than the U.S. I was in a small town of dark roads and short trees. I talked to some older people there who were very friendly. What a trip!
In the San Francisco Zoo there was once a Siberian Tiger I believe if I remember correctly was Katya. There were three young men who decided to taunt her and throw things at her and generally disrespect her which you should not do with any tiger but especially this one. Because she vaulted over the 12 - 20 ft wall (I can't remember the footage) and attacked and killed one of the young men. Everyone in the area ran to hide in the food shack. Eventually Katya was killed. It was terrible but it made me think that you should always respect these magnificent and powerful animals. It was a shame the young man who held back from taunting her was the one killed and that that beautiful animal was killed. My son met one of the young men in prison and asked "What were you thinking?" And he admitted how stupid and disrespectful they were.

OMG - I just got CHILLS!!!! I was just listening to the story at the end - about Rachel & Caroline in Melbourne, Australia. I listened to the whole thing before I realised that I know this story, and I heard it from Rachel's relative, who is an incredible, strong, kind, resilient human. Heartbreaking story.

Rail bridge abandoned? Look at the top of the rails. If they are fairly shiny, it’s being used. If very rusty, they probably aren’t being used. Common sense, folks. Great stories well told! Thanks for posting these vids!
That’s exactly what I was thinking about. Just look at how polished-looking the tops of the rails look. Just as you said, if they look shiny and polished from the wheels of trains going over them and braking on them, then it is an active rail line. Also, you can put your ear down on one of the two rails for a few seconds and listen for slight ringing or rumbling sounds. If you hear or feel anything in the rail there is a train quite close and you should get out of the way and completely off of the rail bed. I always thought that this was common sense because I was taught this in elementary school way back in the mid 1970’s. Also, just walking out onto a train trestle is NEVER a good idea, especially at night. And looking for some urban legend monster like these two were is just stupid. You are looking to just die, but it won’t be because the supposed monster kills you. It will be like what these two ended up having happen. The man not ending up dead is pure survival mode on his part since he held onto the side of the trestle until the train passed. She just panicked and couldn’t hang on and ended up struck by the train. It’s very sad and tragic, but not surprising in such instances. So, it being said that hundreds of people have been killed on this trestle over the decades since this trestle was constructed is not surprising. Certain people just seem to have no common sense. STAY OFF OF THE TRESTLE.

I listen to stories as im walking the dog, and once i was walking in wooded area and i wenr ro walk up this steep area thinking that it would be ok, however when i started and i nearly slipped i remembered some of the stories of some ppl making rash decisions and not surviving so i decided against it. When I was a kid we used to walk the RR tracks all the time. It was a wooded area with lots of ponds at the foot of a mountain. We would build forts and go hiking in the mountain etc. Once I seen a very old passenger steam engine train. On the side it said tours of Gettysburg. The people waved and when we would see freight trains the engineers would always wave. There was no trussel bridge but we were not very old so probably not the safest thing in the world. I'm so glad I had the freedom to do things outdoors when I was a kid. I wasn't into video games or staying in the house. It was the early 90s and a lot of things were different then.

I agree. Some slime person is making lots of money off of John’s videos. He does all the work and they reap a lot of cash from it. His struggle has officially begun. This is the exact same thing that happened to the “What’s Up With Dad” series made several years ago and its creator ended up having several other “creators” reaped tons of money from putting pirated copies of his videos. The original creator was doing extremely well and making a good living off of his vids, but the pirated copies ended up pulling many of the viewers away from his channel and he just about ended up out on the street because of the piracy. But then he found a way to prevent this from happening in his future material. This made him be able to make a living from his own work and it was virtually impossible to pirate his work. I was glad to hear this when it was posted because pirating is no different than stealing money from someone that does a lot of work and another person copies their work and makes a bunch of money from the work they copy. NO ONE should ever copy other people’s work and make money from it. So, Mr. Ballen, I hope you see these copies and can report them to YT and they will suspend the channels that do this. I hate to see anyone ripping you off.

This has been corrected. Siberia has the same weather as Canada and the northern US. It's not Antarctica. I was there in September in this exact area and it was in 80°sF.

Siberia has a solid 3 months of summer where the daytime highs are 20-25C (70-80F) with a couple months of spring and fall temperatures on either end. The 6 months from April-September have a climate very similar to that of the US east coast. The lack of sunshine, however, makes nighttime temperatures significantly colder than during the day. Even during the summer when it's often hot and humid in the daytime, it drops off to 0-10C (40-50F) at night. The winters, which last about a full 6 months from October-March, are of course bitterly cold. The cold nights and winters have a lot to do with Siberia's proximity to the sun. For example, in February Siberia averages just 2 hours of sunlight per day.

The 1-hour stories are just as good as the others. However, they don't have the like button to do list! That makes me laugh almost every time which really cheers me up! I went to Russia one night in my sleep. Honestly I felt like I was astrally travelled to Russia and I said to my self "Wow how did I get here? To Russia?'. Such a different feeling than the U.S. I was in a small town of dark roads and short trees. I talked to some older people there who were very friendly. What a trip!
In the San Francisco Zoo there was once a Siberian Tiger I believe if I remember correctly was Katya. There were three young men who decided to taunt her and throw things at her and generally disrespect her which you should not do with any tiger but especially this one. Because she vaulted over the 12 - 20 ft wall (I can't remember the footage) and attacked and killed one of the young men. Everyone in the area ran to hide in the food shack. Eventually Katya was killed. It was terrible but it made me think that you should always respect these magnificent and powerful animals. It was a shame the young man who held back from taunting her was the one killed and that that beautiful animal was killed. My son met one of the young men in prison and asked "What were you thinking?" And he admitted how stupid and disrespectful they were.

back in the 1940's my mom worked at a tb hospital in Pressmen's Home Tennessee...that was long before i was born...then in 1980's i was a security guard at a tb hospital in chattanooga Tn...it had 7 buildings that people thought were haunted but i worked at night and never heard or saw anything...but i thought was a unique place to work...i enjoyed working there...love your stories...listen to all i can find

Rail bridge abandoned? Look at the top of the rails. If they are fairly shiny, it’s being used. If very rusty, they probably aren’t being used.

That’s exactly what I was thinking about. Just look at how polished-looking the tops of the rails look. Just as you said, if they look shiny and polished from the wheels of trains going over them and braking on them, then it is an active rail line. Also, you can put your ear down on one of the two rails for a few seconds and listen for slight ringing or rumbling sounds. If you hear or feel anything in the rail there is a train quite close and you should get out of the way and completely off of the rail bed.
I always thought that this was common sense because I was taught this in elementary school way back in the mid 1970’s. Also, just walking out onto a train trestle is NEVER a good idea, especially at night. And looking for some urban legend monster like these two were is just stupid. You are looking to just die, but it won’t be because the supposed monster kills you. It will be like what these two ended up having happen. The man not ending up dead is pure survival mode on his part since he held onto the side of the trestle until the train passed. She just panicked and couldn’t hang on and ended up struck by the train. It’s very sad and tragic, but not surprising in such instances.
So, it being said that hundreds of people have been killed on this trestle over the decades since this trestle was constructed is not surprising. Certain people just seem to have no common sense. STAY OFF OF THE TRESTLE.
It’s me listening to these stories on the way to and from work, while cleaning, and to go to bed😅

When I was a kid we used to walk the RR tracks all the time. It was a wooded area with lots of ponds at the foot of a mountain. We would build forts and go hiking in the mountain etc. Once I seen a very old passenger steam engine train. On the side it said tours of Gettysburg. The people waved and when we would see freight trains the engineers would always wave. There was no trussel bridge but we were not very old so probably not the safest thing in the world. I'm so glad I had the freedom to do things outdoors when I was a kid. I wasn't into video games or staying in the house. It was the early 90s and a lot of things were different then.

I agree. Some slime person is making lots of money off of John’s videos. He does all the work and they reap a lot of cash from it. His struggle has officially begun. This is the exact same thing that happened to the “What’s Up With Dad” series made several years ago and its creator ended up having several other “creators” reaped tons of money from putting pirated copies of his videos. The original creator was doing extremely well and making a good living off of his vids, but the pirated copies ended up pulling many of the viewers away from his channel and he just about ended up out on the street because of the piracy. But then he found a way to prevent this from happening in his future material. This made him be able to make a living from his own work and it was virtually impossible to pirate his work. I was glad to hear this when it was posted because pirating is no different than stealing money from someone that does a lot of work and another person copies their work and makes a bunch of money from the work they copy.
NO ONE should ever copy other people’s work and make money from it. So, Mr. Ballen, I hope you see these copies and can report them to YT and they will suspend the channels that do this. I hate to see anyone ripping you off.

Actually much of Siberia gets quite warm in summer, albeit for only a few weeks
Siberia has a solid 3 months of summer where the daytime highs are 20-25C (70-80F) with a couple months of spring and fall temperatures on either end. The 6 months from April-September have a climate very similar to that of the US east coast. The lack of sunshine, however, makes nighttime temperatures significantly colder than during the day. Even during the summer when it's often hot and humid in the daytime, it drops off to 0-10C (40-50F) at night. The winters, which last about a full 6 months from October-March, are of course bitterly cold. The cold nights and winters have a lot to do with Siberia's proximity to the sun. For example, in February Siberia averages just 2 hours of sunlight per day.
