Similar with Selena who in 2 years released 3 studio albums, did 2 tours, promo for 2 Disney films while also filming actual films, a clothing line, Disney promo, same for Hilary, Raven, Demi, etc
which Ashley Tisdale wasn't doing concerts for suite life or hsm movies, Miley was. that's one character with multiple jobs - Miley had movies, the show and concerts. film during the day and go do a concert later
I think it bears repeating Ashley actually WASN’T a child star at that time she was an adult playing a teenager. That seems to be a HUGE part everyone forgets when talking about Ashley and Disney.

It’s so funny I always thought it was so funny how she played completely opposite parts but was still good at playing both ; on the suite life she was the humble good girl but on high school musical she was the rich snob lol .

Also trace Cyrus called her the worst person he’s met and she was besties with the man who distributed CP of her supposed best friend. People don’t pay attention to her enough for her to have drama.

i only realized that high school musical was THAT big when i realized years later that i watched the third one in CINEMAS like a disney CHANNEL movie had a THEATRICAL release, it's still shocking to me today
Yeah i never watched stuff like that. All the ppl i knew growing up used to make fun of it. I knew it was big but i had no idea who actually liked it
In summer after 8th grade me and my guuurlz had a HS musical 2 watching party lol when it aired on Disney Chanmel and played it off like hahaaaa were too old/cool for this but all knew how much it meant to us lolol).
I remember going to that! I was so excited haha
I wasn't too crazy about it tbh 😅 It wasn't that memorable to me, but I do remember not being crazy about it.

Love Ashley! Her daughter is absolutely beautiful and I’m so glad she’s led a happy successful life after Disney.
Curious fact: snsd's run devil run was also part of ashley's guilty pleasure selection before the Management dropped it from the album and became sment property and snsd's oh repackage title song.
It marked the change of snsd good girl concept as well.

I'm really happy she wanted to act, you hear so many stories of kids that were forced to act just to support their families, so its refreshing to see someone who was living their dreams. I guess it shows tho, she more than provided on her roles, clearly she was having fun and living her best life stealing absolutely every show she was in.
Her show Hellcats deserved better. I actually really liked it. For once cheerleaders are portrayed as cheerleaders. Not basically a dance team like in Glee

thank you for this! i truly feel she’s not ever mentioned or given the credit she deserves. and it’s probably because she is a ‘basic white blonde’ character. but at the end of the day, she had a huge impact on everything she was in. she worked so hard. she was also a bit older, older seeming. she was in some abc movies too i believe. she deserves her own show but it was never really gonna happen unfortunately. she deserves tons of credit!

Sharpay's fabulous adventure was a good closure to her character development, and her singing skills are displayed even more, but the lack on budget it shows a lot
Headstrong was such an amazing album and I’m gutted Ashley’s career with Warner in the beginning didn’t take off.

Ashley Tisdale was my FAVORITE celebrity as a kid…I ate UP her album and anything she was in. I even changed the way I spell my name (which is Maddie) because of her character on Suite Life. And of course….Sharpay was my absolute ICON (she was done SO DIRTY in the HSM by Troy and Gabriella I swear!!😂) I’m so glad she ended up having a seemingly normal life and do her own thing.

I always loved Sharpay. Sharpay was EVERYTHING I wanted to be. I would practice the dance routine and songs. Ashley became someone that I followed. Every show Ashley was on, I was watching. I guess you could say Ashley playing sharpay was something else ❤

HSM villainized the true victim and actually the only hardworking person in the franchise, Sharpay was confident and hardworking but just because she was very feminine they chose to make her look like a villain, she actually deserved a huge apology and isn't even given credit for an amazing character she was, HSM was nothing without her, Troy was a jerk and Gabriella was just plain irrelevant and boring

I hate how in any form of the entertainment industry kids go in just thinking about being great at whatever they're getting into an becoming a star an just end up traumatized, overworked an either underpaid or end up broke. I always want to ask their parents wtf were they doing during alot of this stuff that ends up happening to alot of these kids. An how do alot of them feel it's ok to spend majority of their kids hard earned money. It's crazy to me.
I remember the first CD I ever bought with my own money was Ashley's Headstrong. I still listen to my original copy to this day! There are so many underrated bops on there.

When looking at child stars & Disney, I think it's worth noting that there's always been a machine that chews them up & spits then out. Their first big star, Bobby Driscoll is a prime , tragic example that foreshadowed how child stars would be treated from there out. It's so rare for any of them to leave relatively unscathed. Ashley has done so well for herself, which is impressive as hell considering everything these kids go through.
The 8 year old I babysit (7 at the time) was Sharpay for Halloween last year and when I took her photo she did “sassy” poses it was soooo cute
I never really liked "High School Musical" as I was more of a "Camp Rock" fan, but I liked Ashley's character in "Suite Life...". It seems like Ashley is one of the few stars that have only good things to say about Disney and came out of their machine without major rebel phase/serious problems. Good for her 😊

Ngl while I had a Gabriella doll as a child,I actually liked Sharpay over her.Sure she was a privileged and blonde mean girl but I did have some sympathy towards her in some parts of the movie and also I love pink and was obsessed with her pink locker and car.I loved HSM 2 and remember at school arguing with another girl on whether Miley Cyrus was in the film and I was right.It was great to see the premiere of these movies and Ashley Tisdale will forever be a 2000s icon.

I had no idea Ashley was the voice of Candace on Phineas and Ferb. By the end of the 2000s, I had outgrown both Disney and Nickelodeon. Ashley Tisdale had been acting since she was about 3. But, her career didn't really take off until she was casted in the Suite Life of Zack and Cody at the age of 19. I believe her character Maddie was 14 when the show first started. I have to say her career in show business took an interesting turn.

I've always loved her! She's always been so sweet, doesn't on earth, and fun loving. While I grew up with Sharpay and Maudie who were ICONS, I also loved her in Hellcats the CW show. She was great in it. She was also good in the Netflix show Merry, Happy, Whatever. And her albums were iconic.
My favourite thing about High School Musical is that they graduated high school in the summer of 2008.

Her first two albums were so good. I think they were so underrated. The first one is so chill and actually quite sweet. The second one is a dive into various trendy forms of pop at the time, wrapped in a distorted master (still great songs but sheesh). Her second album should have blown up the pop charts. It was so good.
Hearing “a brand new Disney channel original” made me so sad. I would love to spend a day in my childhood again
