Miley Cyrus has turned into the G.O.A.T 🐐
Great editing work, loved it!
miley, did the right thng
Why didn't you discuss she appropriated black culture?
Please do a Deep Dive into her return to country with Younger Now, and Plastic Hearts as a rock artist! Thank you so much for these videos they were great to watch!
when Demi said “it was easier for me bc I went straight to rehab” lmaoooo😭😭😭😭
What makes me sick is that the interviewer laughed. As if that should be funny. Just goes to show the emotional toll that being a kid performer takes from them.
This!!! Poor demi
That made me kinda sad, ngl. She obviously didn't know what the future had in store for her...
She was keeping it real 💯💯💯💯
nah fr 😂😂 she real for that
It’s funny to look back at how incredibly cringe and ridiculous all that media coverage was, grown ass adults being or pretending to be shocked on national tv just to provoque their listeners into believing how scandalous a barely adult female artist is, gossip is one hell of an addiction
Exactly, I snorted when they didn't have anything else negative to say about her performance, they started to pick apart her relationship and why they don't walk the red carpet together :D
Media wouldn't cover it if people weren't consuming it.
So it's very sad how desperate for validation people talked about her
On both sides
She came across as a desperate for validation from anybody
It was really sobering to see the Fox news people ranting about Miley being a slut while scrolling text below them talked about George Zimmerman's acquittal.
But she is scandalous...they're just pointing out the obvious 🙄
@@xbrandon2252 please. that whole era was barely scandalous
props to demi for responding so tactfully to those questions about miley!
Yes, that is such a great example of women supporting each other!
@@esikazemese for awhile
Cher also answered it beautifully when she mentioned. Madonna would have done the same thing at that age.
@Crowned Gambit you guys might be too young to remember, but the Madonna song Like a Prayer had a big situation too. It was really funny though, at least I think. Pepsi commissioned that song to be in a commercial and it was based around Jesus, but the public thought it was sexual so they freaked out. I can see why they thought that, but I think the situation was just really funny and stupid😂
@@esikazemese it honestly is and she also worked with Disney so all Disney stars definitely know the image that get stuck with you as a good boy or good girl. And look at demi a few years later she became herself
Every time I watch a deep dive video, I get reminded just how toxic the media is. Dictated this girls whole life, when it’s just none of their business.
No. Woke Ness controlled her life. She hit every woke talking point known to man. Feminism. LGBT. Lesbian naked in Kalman misogynous if they look. She was a total product of wellness. Thinking she was rebelling. When she was being exactly to the devil wants us to be. So stupid.
💯 Totally agree with you. Hoe it was worse than I could imagine..I so sorry, I'm also being very demure and very mindful. Being great full that they did what the did.
I was homeless at 22 a few years back…I am so proud of her advocating for homeless youth. She deserves so much more credit for her activism and her heart for others. Far more remarkable than her ‘twerking’ Bangerz era. That said, I loved her Bangerz album 😊
I said the same thing. I was homeless from 12/13-22 years old. And it was originally because I came out as bisexual when I was 12. So I got kicked out. Miley is a badass for advocating for people in similar situations to mine. Love her.
Bangerz is a pop classic and masterpiece 🔥🔥🔥 Drive is one of my favorite songs ever
For real!!! She has put her money towards many good causes unlike a ton of other celebs. I really admire it.
I will never not be triggered by parents saying "They aren't a good role model for my kids". You should be your kids role model, not random stars. Miley is a grown woman, the entitlement these parents think they have to just make everyone act the way THEY want for their kids is ridiculous. How bout raise your kids yourself like you're supposed to hmm?
Or like Britney said, if you dont want your kids watching it change the channel lmao
You've got to be dense to really believe that celebrities and influencers do not have influence on children and even adults honestly. I'm not saying I would be a helicopter parent and be worried about people like Miley but you're just lying to yourself if you really think they don't influence children. I do agree that you should be a good role model for your children but that doesn't mean that your child realizes you're a good role model and would appreciate you teaching them lessons versus a cool celebrity teaching them to twerk that's the sad reality we live in nowadays
Peerriiooddd!
@@alyssahamlett even if it’s the reality, it’s still not celebrities’ responsibilities to worry about your children when they just wanna live their lives 🤷🏻♀️
@@SamisaTANK1 tbh with you, it’s shitty on all parts, the only innocent ones here are the kids, celebs dont care and i get why they kind of shouldnt cause they want to live their lives but that doesnt make them less wrong in the situation, i get the parents should protect their kids but in all honesty they truly cannot, the only option is for them to explain to their kids what’s wrong when they see these things 🤷🏾♀️
Miley Cyrus knows how to piss off Disney and get away with it.
Think so, who owns the record companies and platforms she makes money for now. Disney can't approve of it yet, but they will cash the residuals.
Think about that for a moment. Disney acts like they own her and try to work against her as a PERSON because they have monetary interest and we talk about that like that kind of behavior is normal and to be expected.
Capitalism has really done a job on America. Miley's hyper-femininity is nothing but ill-disguised consumerism.
The 'girly-girl' is the girl who keeps on shopping - right? right? spends money on her looks and values materialism - right? It's a friggin scam. The girly-girl used to MAKE HER OWN dress, hat etc. Now we substitute that with expensive hobbies like scrapbooking. smdh just more consumerism
SHE DIDNT. Noone wanted to sponsor this current tour. She had to fund herself. The show had major consequences.n
Everyone thought Miley is this Wild child but from countless interviews, you see that she is a wise and grounded young lady.
Ikr? People just don't like that Miley is not the person THEY want her to be, the perfect "role model" they saw on TV who was a character on a show, rather than being a grown woman who is not the prude they are, and a real human being..
If she was a man, they'd call her a rockstar.
She is Wild but in a good way.
Right?!
@@ville666sora I don't like her because she's irritating AF, I don't "want" her to be anything as I don't care about her like that. If anything, I want her to go away!!!
It actually shocks me how people spoke about her during this era. Can you imagine if someone today commented on something Olivia Rodrigo or Jenny Ortega wore? And as a 20 year old it really upsets me to hear how people spoke about her, she is stronger than so many of us and the media owes her a massive apology. Beyond excited for her endless summer vacation era!!!
They can because she did
right?!!?? you get canceled if you down someone that much today
Media was Soooo bad back in the day, I'm 27 and whenever I see old paparazzi videos or interviews I cringe and get upset bcuz I cannot believe these celebrities were being treated so vile. And we just accepted it!
Ppl do that on Facebook all the time and I gotta remind them that when it is your own body you can do whatever you want with it and wear whatever you want. There's still ppl out there that think like this and are proud of it..I see women saying to Ciara "you're a mom, you should be dressing more conservatively." I think it's ridiculous that they think they are right in speaking out of turn about something that is none of their business. We are told that if we are in a relationship and someone tells us how to dress like a child, then you are in a controlling relationship. But then all these ppl on the Internet think it's their right to tell a complete stranger how to love their lives. It's crazy stupid.
It happens a lot to Millie Bobby Brown and she’s around their age range. Oh and Billie Eillish!
When parents say they want celebrities to be “role models” they mean they want their children to look up to and emulate someone who is obedient.
Yep. They're basically expecting sainthood of real-life people, emulating the virtues they deem important - obedience, chastity, all-work-no-play mentality...
🎯🎯🎯
💯
No they mean they don’t want their kids LOL being bad like they were (the parents) oxy contin and Tupac thug life baby baby
Poor Demi lovato. They’re questioning her and she’s trying to be supportive but knows that people are gonna freak out if she says anything too supportive. It’s ridiculous.
“The world needs to get over the fact that she was Hannah Montana when she was 16” Exactly!!!!
It’s crazy how Miley’s liberation inspired so many people to be confident enough to be theirselves as well. Love her sm ❤
Her liberation is laudable, but going from being under the reigns of Disney to demonstrating her female independence by wiggling in front of a married 40+ man, is not.
Power structures use the psychology of humans to wield our desire to gain autonomy from parental authority against us and put us under their familiar power.
Yeah like the WAP liberation. Also it's themselves not theirselves.
@@Rhea123 grammar is the least of our worries these days unfortunately. I'm glad if Miley inspired others to be their true selves. But, how does one determine that if not in vacuum from society?
I turned 18 when her Bangerz era/tour started and it truly inspired me in the situation I was in. Hearing people that she was no longer a good role model was far beyond what I thought of her!
I agree💗
The crazy thing to remember is that not only was Robin Thicke not blamed but this was right after blurred lines, a song notorious for being misogynistic and creepy.

And yeah she shouldn't have been twerking on him but he ruined his own relationship.
Cynical people
He wasn’t a one naked looking like a fucking idiot on stage. Why would he get any blame for her actions. Is she a man? I don’t know why you woke elitist think men and women are equal. Get over it you’re not the same. As a woman that was the best thing I could have ever acknowledged. I don’t want to be a man.
Did that woman just say: she played the hoochie card, because she can't rely on her talent?? Miley is one of the most talented people out there🤯💖
😂 🤔Hmm wonder how far that reporter’s career went?🤷🏻♀️😂 lol Exactly what I thought when I heard that line too! 😉😜
That’s why the guy was like you might want to take that back lmao
She's not very talented at all. And her voice is really ugly, especially nowadays.
frankly I agree with this. Miley has a hideous voice, she's not the good looking and she hasn't got anything important to say.
And I'm sure this woman has a Flowers on repeat now, hypocrite
The fact that some guy on Fox News said Billy Ray Cyrus failed as a dad??? WHAT. He has shown his daughter so much love and supports his daughter in every single career path that she has chosen. He is the definition of an amazing dad!!!
Not all girls can say that their dad was there for them.
I agree with Fox news
Her photoshoot at sixteen for Vanity Fair with her dad was grossly inappropriate. Plus so much of her family as well.
I mean her family failed her.
@@alexandrapettibon4575 but she’s rich and famous, and more free than before. And you’re just… some nobody here in the youtube comments.

I was in elementary during her bangerz era but i loved it so much. Everyone wanted her to be a role model and said all types of stuff about her but in the end the kids they were “protecting” were cheering for her. I’ll never forget when we we’re supposed to sing the climb for our 6th grade graduation but the teacher scrapped it because of the wrecking ball mv, I was so pissed 😕
I was judging the cultural appropriation that was very cringe
Yup!!! She was my first concert ever at 13!
I feel like Miley is the only celebrity that people ACTUALLY saw as her TV character. And they expected her to stay that way with the mentality that that’s who she was. I feel like everyone forgot she was literally just playing a part of a made up show. It’s so irritating to watch her be ridiculed for just expressing different parts of herself. She is a true icon though and I love how she did her thing with no apologies
I agree with you because the last season of Hannah Montana I think ended when I was either in eighth grade or a freshman and tbh I was over it. I feel the younger generation adapted to her because Hannah Montana was always on Disney with the reruns

LITERALLY SAMEEE
Hahaha love this
Parents and just people in GENERAL have a hard time separating a character from the person. Miley played Hannah Montana, she wasn't Hannah. I think that's one of the disadvantages of being an actor/ actress. People think you're the character you play
Yeah I graduated high school earlier that year and grew up on Hannah. I was all about it 😂🎉❤
Oh you wanted to be a SL*T
My parents demonized Miley during her bangers era 100% looking back as an adult it makes me so angry like who isn’t finding themselves in their early 20s. She didn’t owe us ANYTHING. She didn’t have to be a role model for young girls. She was a role model for women of all ages trying to break out of their shells and finding themselves, whether it was for the first time or the hundredth. She was brave and strong and true to herself. We could all stand to be more like her.
YES NOW 22 I GET IT AND LOVE HER she is inspiring
It was the best that could happpen for me in 2013. i was 16 and partying and finding myself. (And yes partying was legal at 16 since I live in Germany) and this album helped me grow up. And i grew up perfectly, not slutty or anything these people were afraid kids would be. She was inspiring, but a smart kid knows to do what THEY think is good for THEM, not just run after someone and do the same they did
Yes, I agree with you. She is very inspiring!!
Right? Imagine thinking a 20 year old is supposed to be a role model. That's one year before the legal drinking age and you can't even rent a car until 25.
If you can't rent a car, no one should really be using you as a role model cause you're too young.
Forever grateful that my dad realized how iconic this era was and got me two tickets for her bangerz tour when I was 14 years old
Miley deserves a massive apology. We love you queen!
Lindsay Lohan Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus and so many other celebrities deserve an apology but of course America being America that’s not gonna happen. I wish one day a celebrity would go back watch all their interviews of people who work for the news and other celebrities talking shit about them make a UA-cam video and post it talking shit back to them
I think the album sales say enough, she slayed and most people love this album the most out of all her projects
Stop worshiping her that's so cringe.

As I grew up, I never judged Miley Cyrus. Whether she was herself or Hanna Montana.

This was a really cool look back at one of Miley’s most important eras. Miley really did know what she was doing and she deserves a lot more credit and respect!
I agree! Like they were so damn hard on her😭
The bangerz era was iconic. I was dumb at the time and talked smack myself but now that I’m kind of an adult, I see that she handled it like a boss and she dressed cute af
I’m just so proud of her! I’m a few years older, and was always so impressed by her ability to stay true to herself, and not let the criticism get to her. I feel like people are finally appreciating her the way they should be.
Yes, I’ve always been so proud of her because she never cared about what rude people had to say about her. She never changed for anyone.
Miley’s Bangerz era was iconic. I’m the same age and she was that female role model who said it was ok to be myself and feel what I want. She’s come such a long way and I will always love her from Hannah Montana to Miley. We’re all just trying to live.
I was a freshman in high school when Bangerz was released. Miley is by far and always will be my FAV artist. I hated the way the world ridiculed her. I’m so glad she is strong and persevered.
And I would’ve done ANYTHING to go to a Bangerz concert. Omfg 😅
Me too girl I remember when my best friend had got her album and we were fangirling over her new look 🤣 in theater class !
true words, and that kinda hate could make anyone shrivvle up, im glad she got through it ❤
OMG I remember when bangers came out as well when I was in high school I believe I was either a freshman or sophomore crazy everywhere. House parties people played it, her album was everywhere. And I’m from the Bay Area so literally even people who don’t duck with Miley like that was playing it
i was a junior in high school and Bangerz revived my elementary school miley obsession 🫶🏽 i was a closeted miley fan for sure but bangerz was always blasting on my ipod 😌 i’m a die hard smiler now and i wouldn’t have it any other way
Britney and Miley looked so shy meeting each other 🥺💓
40:42 THE WOMAN IN THE BLUE DRESS IS THE BEST 🤣🤣🤣 what are you? Church lady lolol
Thought the same. And this outfit was sooo chill. Its again this modest stupid stiff culture that is sooo annoying
TBH, I never really even paid that much attention to this era. But here we are 10 years later (WOW!!!) and I’m understanding more about the era and Miley! She knew she would have to take drastic measures to shatter the Hannah Montana image and to show herself! We’re around the same age, so I totally get wanting to find yourself and express your self at that age.
Miley didn't get a say so in how she presented herself. Her parents sold her out. Mieys just another illuminati puppet
Let me tell you this era of bangers was insane it was like some thing no one expected especially from her. I’m happy she did it because Miley was just known still before this album came out as Hannah Montana Disney Channel girl and I’m happy she act it out like this to distance herself from Disney
I remember clearly how Miley was always in the news for her antics. I was a teenager around that time and still loved Miley no matter what. It was just her crazy “college” phase
Same here like my grandma fell into the trap of believing the fucking news with their bullshit lies and I remember my grandma being like OMG she said get off of Disney for doing that and me and my cousins are saying she’s old enough to make her own decisions and what she doing isn’t bad. Her job isn’t to be a role model to people kids

Wow, Demi's reply hits harder when now you know all what she was living at that years. She wanted to say more to defend Miley, but probably her team of that moment insisted on NOT TALKING MUCH ABOUT IT. Big heart of her in doing it when she was being so controlled, and now i think maybe her wanted to do like Miley too (she's kind of doing it now).
I don't think Miley was ever "out of control". Far from it! I think everything she's done was planned and on purpose, she knew exactly what she was doing. I mean look at her now, she's more successful than ever, she's happy, she's in control of her life and she's true to herself, guess she did everything right! And we all know what happens to people who can't break free and be themselves, like Britney, they break completely.

It’s wild how I grew up with Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus. When this era hit I was 14 and I was shook. I loved We Can’t Stop and Wrecking Ball. I still do . I only remember bits and pieces of this, because the only opinion I had was "I don't care, she's an adult, I just wish I haven't seen her tongue as many times as I have" 😂 I did get really emotional when she let her friend accept the award and use her platform for the foundation. As someone who is lgbt and was homeless while going through high school in the early 2000s, that hit me. Good for her.
Miley is set to debut at number 1 on the billboard hot100 next week, which will mark her first number 1 since 2013. After all she’s been trough she deserves it and more.
That's good 😊, still hope SZA gets to #1 tho

As someone who spent ages 14-19 in homeless shelters, I wish people focused more on her charity & her cause instead of what she decides to wear on stage. Nobody knows how detrimental homelessness is on a young person's mind until they are in that position.

Right
She looks back on that time with disgust and regret that the adults in her life put her in that place.
Not saying what’s right or wrong (regarding Miley’s choices), but there is a difference between a child being thrust into acting by parents, and a fully consenting, cognisant adult who choses to do lewd things.
I’d say use your brain but clearly you don’t have one

There’s never been a stage of Miley’s life that I didn’t support and love whole heartedly. Seriously as long as I can remember. I remember being in elementary school becoming obsessed with Hannah Montana, and got to go to her concert when she first started performing as Miley ❤
I never use the word iconic but Miley absolutely is. I love that the person she is now still acknowledges that this Miley was a part of growing up. Can we normalize “we don’t give a $&@! about your kids” whenever parents scream “they’re not a good role model for children!!!”???
Celebrities need to do that nowadays it’s very annoying looking back at clips and parents saying that about Britney Spears Lindsay Lohan like celebrities are not raising your kids. Now that I’m older I realized she was under a lot of pressure as a child actress and she’s actually lucky she got out when she did. I think she has an amazing voice for country pop and I will always stand by that!
I did the same, It took me a long while to realize Hannah Montana was Disney image not her. She was trying to be herself more is what I had to come to realized.
I think that if miley had gone for a more adult image but without the black costume, the shock value, the tongue, and the foam finger, it'd have been easier for me to swallow. Zendaya went thru the disney machine too, but she didn't act like a preacher's kid at her first weekend away from home.
Barbara Walters was ruthless
@@strawberrylime33nothing was big as HM though. Miley felt that she need to go to the extreme to rip off the image the fastest possible. And she succeeded though it did harmed her career after that too
I went to a bangerz tour concert and it was the best night of my life. I love Miley so much! Every era is AMAZING.
I was initially shocked when the We Can't Stop video came out but only because I was extremely religious. My primary reaction was shock, but my secondary reaction was complete awe. I was in love with the new Miley and I felt really guilty for loving her and the video. I thought, with my background, that "I shouldn't love this. I shouldn't praise this." But I couldn't fucking help myself. Miley has always been that for me. She has helped me break the chains from my upbringing. She's shown me that it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks. I can love myself for who I am. I will always support Miley❤
She has the absolute BEST parents. They raised her well, supported her through everything, and fought with her to the top. Kudos to them.
I really disagree. They let her be in harms way all of her childhood, they fought nonstop over HER money and HER contracts. While they did MANY things well there are reasons that the entire world were obsessed with her sex life at the age of 13. That is a time where she simply didn't have any control over her life, her work or media. Very happy to see her thrive in spite of that especially with her very creepy father but they did a lot right and all that they did right is proven by how resilient she has been.
Her Dad literally unfollowed her because she got mad at him for being with a girl whose younger than her. He met his fiancé when she was 14 years old on the set of Hannah Montana. Weird. Any time I see a photo of Miley as a baby with her dad now it makes me sick to think the woman he’s engaged to wasn’t even alive yet.
@@trytoholdon THANK YOU! That man is a creep
@@sofiarodriguez6768 clearly you do not know how Disney works because Miley is not the only Disney star who had supportive parents that fell into that trap so even if her parents fough tooth and nail to protect her. A contract is a contract. So yes they were supportive amazing parents to her because unlike other celebrities who only used their kids for money they were lost in LA
@@trytoholdon okay we talking about being great parents not creepy dads
Just like everyone here I grew up with her and she was ahead of her time and she set the tone and I just love her she’s very creative and was not afraid to be herself like the rest of us are, YOU GO MILEY. Inspired by her really
My daughters used to love watching Hanna Montana, all of a sudden she "changed" and my daughter freaked out 😅 i was like, oh no relax, she is grown, they thought she was like 12 or something.
Yea ok! It's funny how y'all think y'all kno these people. 😂
Miley did set the tone but I feel like if this was to come out right now it wouldn’t have shattered platforms like it did back in the day if that makes sense? Only because it would’ve been the same thing how everything right now is the same thing of Twerking less clothing
Not Barbra saying “that’s called wanting to get married and being in love” when Miley says I can’t be myself in a relationship to Liam. Wtf 🤬
I like her father. Instead of locking her up like Britney’s father did, he supported her and acknowledged ideas and the wish to be separated from a character Disney wanted to keep her in. I’m quite sure it wasn’t easy for him as a parent, but he trusted her instead of dealing with with her publicly in the most questionable way. Love that! ♥️
I always found her kinda cool. After watching both parts, wow, she’s way cooler than I thought. You go girl!
i saved part one to my watch later and forgot about it , and decided to start the series this morning. didn’t realize part 3 was coming out this evening. lucky day
I was 13/14 during this era and loved it, mostly because she was pissing off so many people lmao. I think because I was a very shy, reserved girl who cared about what others thought, it was nice to see Miley not giving a fuck and doing whatever she wanted to do.
her dedication to regain herself makes me emotional 😭💖
Miley is on top of the world rn and has always been incredibly smart and talented!! 💕✨ She is easily one of the most underrated artists around. I LOVE HER.
Boy do I have NEWS for the foam finger dude lmao. People have been inappropriately using them way before Miley lmao
That journalist was really trying to bait her dad into expressing 'utter disappointment as a father' but Billy was like 'not today sucker'🤣anyway double standards are funny because people were shaming Miley for showing exactly what people buy into anyway- sex
40:44 I love that the older lady is defending Miley
she had the whole world talking and WON! i grew up with her and i’m so happy that she finally became who she wanted to be. a true role model
Won what? She didn't actually win anything. People who like her still like her and people who don't still don't. But they dislike her even more now because now she's totally arrogant and appalling.
@@shingshong4550she achieved what she wanted. That means she won.
But unfortunately there is a price for everything and not everyone can use their brain properly
@@Kayvid002 won what or against whom? That just doesn't make sense.
It's sad that very few artists calculate their marketing strategies like miley did for bangerz. This is really a masterclass of marketing and only relying on herself. She didn’t start on her relationship, but she expressed her feelings, she didn't shade directly disney, she just expressed her growth. I think that she committed to what she wanted, knowing many would eat her up. This is the classiest yet strongest marketing ever. The only person that had planned a marketing stategy similarly is OliviabRodrigo, but I'm not a fan on someone that bases her marketing on drama that involve other people. Especially when the other person or people get death threts, even if her album is a banger. Miley made this about herself and not her drama and I respect her a lot for it
Of course as a kid/teen I was pretty shocked when all of this was going down, but as an adult I can see that she was doing what she needed to do after the media tried to destroy her. I love her now and she was right all along
i went to the bangerz tour with my mom and it was BOTH our best concert we’ve ever been to! she is a true performer !!!
Yall have the most iconic channel on the platform I'd rather watch you guys than anyone else!
I was well into my 20’s during this era of Miley… I never grew up with her like most here did. This series really displayed Miley’s talent as an artist and was so eye-opening! Great video! ❤
Miley signing with Britneys agent was SUCH a power move!! She did what needed to be done for sure
yeeees bangerz was amazing i hope yall give her the praise she deserves for that cultural moment
I almost feel like Miley is fighting back tears after she says "I'm wearing a ring so"
did anybody else catch that?
Definitly😪
She’s honestly the most iconic and influential celeb in my opinion especially being around the same age as her.
I DEFINITELY agree. She made such a huge impact breaking out of her Disney image; and I was there for every moment of it💗
I will forever be obsessed with bangerz. It was so chaotic and i loved it ! It made me love her EVEN MORE ! She has always been ahead of her time, that’s why people criticize her
Thanks to you guys, I went from thinking of Miley Cyrus as a typical child star turned messy adult, to being an actual fan of hers. Good for her!!
What people really need to do is stop thinking that the person who plays a certain character is that character. Miley isn't Hannah Montana, she's Miley Cyrus. I'm so sick of people doing this. So glad she did what she did. Another thing that bothers me is that parent's expects celebrities to be their children's role model, Tf no. You're supposed to be your child's role model
Exactly !
The thing that most people always forget is that Miley (Cyrus) wasn't Miley Stewart, either. She is her own person.
I remember the time in my life which was the Bangerz era of Miley. 2013 I had been living with my bf of now 13 years in a tiny one bedroom apartment and I was struggling with my addiction/alcoholism/and mental health issues as well as some issues in our relationship and this album was EVERYTHING TO ME! IT SPOKE TO ME! IT HELPED ME GET THROUGH SO MUCH! I am sober now (Just celebrated 2 years sober on the 7th) and I will be forever grateful to Miley for making this album because it was exactly the soundtrack I needed right at that time in my life! This era will ALWAYS be her MOST ICONIC EVER!!! I miss it so much!!! This video was REALLY well done!!! 💞💞💞💯💯💯👏👏👏 thanks for this video! You've earned a new subscriber!
fantastic doc as usual guys! My eyes rolling out of their sockets at the old news coverage of Miley, she's incredible! I also love how supportive her family have always been.
When people are controlled by others for a long time they break out and swing far in the opposite direction. Disney controlled Miley and she probably felt like a puppet for so long. As she said in an interview, when you become in control (of yourself) that's when others tell you you're out of control. Miley is a free spirit and that is what makes her so beautiful. You can't cage a butterfly or bird and then be surprised when it escapes and flies away. She is a true artist and I love her. ❤️
Thank you for this series! First of all, Fox News has no right to criticize anyone much less Miley with how they speak no truths & nothing news worthy. Brooke Shields has no room to speak either. Y’all should do a Deep Dive on her and you’ll see she was under age and shooting promiscuous movies and was the object of old man 1970s/early 80s desires. Miley rocks!
The Fox News stuff was just…ughhh
I remember seeing the VMA performance when I was about 9, I remember just thinking she’s not same anymore, and kind of just accepting it but being annoyed, thinking she’s going crazy. So many people at my school felt the same. Now I see her whole plan and what she was trying to do, it really makes me love her more.
I like how you said Bangerz was an alter ego. That's exactly what it was
Omg I LOVED (& STILL LOVE!) that song 🎵 “23” with Mike Will & Juicy J!! I just found this series and I’m LOVING the work you guys CONSISTENTLY crank out on this channel! Jake, Shelby- bravo!!🤌🏽💋
They really got the guy who invented a foam finger to complain 😂😂😂. I cannot with people.
Was so proud of her.
They need to get over she’s not going to be a child her whole like, those people need to grow up. Lol
Demi Lavato response was great. Supportive.
Amazing series!
That era was very crazy that I forgotten that Teen Choice Awards performance.I was in middle school when Bangerz came out and how it made her Don't wanna be Tamed era look squeaky clean in comparison. She was right how although it was messy but it was strategically messy as a way to get rid of her Disney image but still be able to maintain her career years after Hannah Montana and Bangerz.Edit:also I found it funny how people thought she invented twerking when it originated in African culture and was then used in hiphop way before her. Also Robin Thicke should've been shamed since he was also apart of it.
Everytime a Deep Dive is over I wish there was more.
