This is actually such a ridiculously helpful and well explained video, that Defrag main menu should have a link to this. Though I'll still need to practice just keeping the crosshair anywhere close to the CGaz minimum edge while also navigating a map, before I even turn on snaphud... Annh may keep his crown for a few more weeks still 😉
What a comment to wake up to. After reading a question by this 1 new defragger lately that really seemed interested in understanding accel, I wish I added the short conclusion that the cgaz line position inside the snapzone matters while the cross hair position inside the window doesnt.
Damn, I played a ton of defrag in the 2000's and while I knew about velocity snapping as a thing, I didn't know about the snap hud or how to interpret it. This would've been helpful when trying to do the w3spgaz lane xD
sometimes theres this small barrier between technical understanding and realizing the full scope of its implications that, admittedly, barely anybody has conquered in the past. now its time to share those insights with the average player in the community!
This is advanced. Is there a default command in defrag to get your speed above your crosshair like you have? I managed to get cgaz working but the documentation is not exactly clear Also, is snap hud part of cgaz? I can't seem to find it anywhere
You should join the Q3df discord and ask such stuff on the help channel. Speed above cross hair plays into the chsinfo commands. Clients like idfe or jels proxy mod come with snaphud but it's technically not part of cgazhud.
I'd love to see the text guide that you've mentioned at the start because it's a bit hard to wrap my head around the topic
Nice channel for defraggers. Very good explanations.
Holy shit, I just realized I've always been using the snap zones without knowing they existed.
Thanks for this guide! It was really interesting and also clear.
Excellent video & Description!

@@bunny.bunbob Well you do mention it, and even repeat it with emphasis. Should be fine. If someone still doesn't understand it's on them.
very clear explanation, good job!
Another great video, thanks
