@@TargetSuite I have a shoot day planned for next Wednesday , it will be similar to your video. My ruger old army .45 will be making an appearance along with my Henry .22. 001. Sadly no tomato cans. Thanks for the Birthday wishes
Congratulations, George, and kudos to Ruger for their excellent customer service. And yes, we love the tomato cans! I've always liked the flexibility of having a handgun and rifle in the same caliber. I currently have .22 LR, .44 magnum, and .45 Colt combinations. One of my favorites is my Ruger Redhawk in .45 Colt that I milled the ejector star to accept .45 ACP moon clips. I found some Vaquero/Blackhawk .45 ACP cylinders on eBay and fitted them to my old style, large frame Vaqueros, so now they are dual caliber. That might me an interesting project for you, George.
Very nice pair of .44`s. Thanks Elmer, wherever you are. I still use his "Special load" in magnum cases exclusively. It will flatten a deer on the spot.
Good deal brother! Happy this got resolved for you. Very refreshing to hear of a company doing what's right! Taking pride in their product and wanting it to work! Good job Ruger. It gives me tremendous confidence in your guns. God bless all here.
Of all the different cartridges I shoot and reload, the .44 Magnum is definitely my favorite. I have several handguns in that caliber and picked up a Henry rifle last year.
Thank you for producing your videos Sir. I'm 60 y/o and over the years of watching gun videos, I have gotten frustrated. A muscular guy with tattoos and a beard (trendy now, I guess) with expert marksmanship skills, knowledge etc. Everyone these days is an "operator." What I love about your videos is that they are interesting, you have a great knowledge base and you don't come across like some arrogant person professing what you know or what/how a person should shoot. Your videos are very realistic. 20 plus years in LE, and I would say, few people are expert shots with a handgun and overall, they have limitations. So I appreciate the "realism." I own (thankfully) many vaqueros, bisley vaqueros, Blackhawks, etc. I am trying to get my single action inventory as high as possible!! My nightstand gun is my Stainless vaquero with a 7 1/2 bbl, in 45 colt. Again, thank you, and I recently subscribed!!
Good evening. Sorry for the late comment, but I've been out on the water all day and just caught today's video. I like the new Keith style oversized cylinder pin on the Vaquero,....first thing that caught my eye when you rolled it over. The accuracy seems to have improved also since the return from Ruger customer service. Also that 44 Special loading you demonstrated was interesting. Definitely not a factory loading. Great video George! Thanks for making my Friday another special one.
@@TargetSuite I learned to look for subtle improvements on this one after following the interesting journey of the Single Six toward improved accuracy.
George, what are you trying to do to me? My head is swimming with all of this great levergun content, each one better than the last. You are surely proving that this class of rifle along with the developement of ammo specifically designed for them, is far more capable than anyone would have thought not too many years ago. Thanks for the show! Yep, you keep this grown man smiling along with the rest.
@@TargetSuite a thought for the future might be to explore the low power levergun options for use as house guns. I have an Uberti 66 in 38spc and have been thinking about that use for it. It would be less likely to overpenetrate and less noise and blast than it's more powerfull cousins but I've never seen any ballistic studies on that application. Thanks
I thought that was a new Vaquero and it was under warranty when I made my previous comment about telling them to fix it or keep it. It is a beautiful gun and kudos to Ruger for fixing a 30 year old 2nd owner gun. I’ve had a few Ruger pistols and loved the Super Blackhawks and RedHawks. Built like tanks. Thanks for the videos.
Great video George. I have 2 44 Mag combos. An older Super Blackhawk 7 1/2 with a Marlin lever and a redhawk 5 1/2 along with a Rossi 44 mag I just bought in SS based on your review and I agree it's a wonderfully made gun. I've also got combos in .22/357/ and even .223 AR and T/C Encore. GUNS IS FUN !!!!!! Keep up the wonderful videos.
Love those Vaqueros, I have 2 old models in 45 LC both 4 3/4” barrels one blue and 1 SS, but love the 44 mag cartridge and wish I still had my Super Blackhawk 44 but sold it back in the 80’slovei your Winchester looks like something I should have in my collection but suspect hard to find or maybe impossible
My local gun store in Shreveport always has three or four of those Miroku Winchester lever guns. So they're not that hard to find. You just have to find someone who carries them and it won't be a big box store most likely.
The 44 mag will always be my favorite calibre. Now with my new Henry Golden Boy or the Marlin 1894 with the new S&W model 29 I have the perfect pair. Thanks George.
I may say sweet things about a lot of different cartridges, but as you probably have figured out, the 44 Magnum has a special place in my heart as well😉
Not a single action but I bought ( very reluctantly / cautiously ) a Taurus tracker 44. Wanted a pistol to carry with my rifle that wasn't to heavy and only one that turned up in some time and it was new. So I stuck my neck out and tried it. Shot it recently with some fairly stout h110 / 240 loads. Was surprised shot a very good group at 50 yards off sand bags and held up good . But mainly going to use it for backup gun for hunting and 44 special loads.
Really fun video - you’d already sold me in the Winchester/Miroku 1892 but it sure does look smooth to run. That Barnes bullet was impressive, but so was the Remington tossing the steel plate in the air. Ruger customer service story: I bought a Red Label 12 ga. over and under in the late 1980s. I liked the gun a lot, but then the Sporting Clays version came out in 1992 with a longer barrel and a mid-barrel brass post. I found a new-in-box one on consignment but discovered that I really didn’t like the shape of the new forend. Plus the wood looked like someone had cut up a pallet. I spoke with a woman named Beverly in New Hampshire to ask if I could buy the new Sporting Clays version and swap wood between the two. (Didn’t know much at the time - I was young.) She told me there was a 50% chance it would work out OK, a 25% chance one would look awful, and 25% chance both would end up a wreck. Then she asked me to hold a moment. “If you buy a Sporting Clays new and send it to me unfired, I will replace the wood with matching stock and forend shape that you like.” Well ok but “How much?” I paid shipping to New Hampshire and nothing more. The wood she put on my gun is simply stunning - I think she had it stashed under a work bench waiting for the right moment. The typical comment when people see it is “That’s a Ruger? Wow!”
Yep, you sure got this grown man (Wifey says boy....) smiling. Especially that trick shot knocking the steel off the tomato can! Speaking of which....Hurrah! The tomato cans are back!!! :-) As usual, another great video, thank you!
I watched your .454 Casull video. My combo set up is Taurus Raging Bull 6 1/2 in Barrel in .454 and a Rossi 92 .454 20 in barrel. It's my hog hunting go to round. Nice video.
Great review on the .44 lever combo! I have a similar setup as in the Uberti 1873/Winchester 44 Mag carbine and my Ruger SBH 7.5 barrel. I find my most liked .44 Mag plinking load is the 200 gr. plated Xtreme bullet with 9 gr. of Unique much like a .44-40 load. For soft target destruction the 180 gr XTP with 24.5 gr. of Alliant 2400 gets the job done too!
That last shot was very cool. I love the combo guns, I have 22, 9mm, sub2000 and cz75, 357, and the 44's. The 38 in the 357 carbine is fun as all get out. The 5 lbs carbine is easy to carry and 357 hits so hard. The sub2000 is a great setup also at 4.25 lbs. No recoil, like a 22. I use it for training new shooters. A couple of my buddies have also bought them after shooting mine. Now we are trying to figure out how to get a 45 acp in a lever gun. Don't say the 44 special in the mag rifle is the same thing, just because it is.
Nice job George. The problem with shooting large caliber handguns is you need to shoot A LOT to get used to the kick and you need to shoot often to maintain it. These were an awesome duo, glad Ruger fixed it, maybe mount sites. Nice deer pistol up north. Lehigh Defense rounds really transform a small .380 carry pistol. They make them where I live.
44 is the best especially as a combo. i don't see it as a problem but as the perfect excuse to shoot a lot more, as if we really need one! with handloads the cost is very doable and always fun to try different variations. i got my marlin 94 to go with my ruger srh. both are great shooters
Like you I was Spellbound by the plethora of available westerns as a youth. And I had no idea they were shooting 1892s in 44-40. I thought they were Winchester model 94s in 30-30😄 I believe typical loadings of the 44-40 have a little more punch than the 44 Special, but my experience with both cartridges is fairly limited.
In my experimenting, factory 44spc loads are a couple of steps below 44 40, and a step below even the original 44Henry. I never got the 44spc loads factory loads to go above about 950 fps out of my 19" 73 carbine. However, just as Elmer Keith proved, you can hotrod it quite nicely for a gun that can handle the extra pressure.
Love the 44's. What kind of rear sight is on the rifle? I have a Marlin 1894 in 44 mag but my 75 year old eyes need help. Can't get excited about putting a scope on it but....... that sight might help.
My perfect 44mag combo is the Ruger Super Blackhawk and the Henry big boy with octagon barrel. I find the extra weight in the Henry to help with felt recoil much better then the Winchester...
Nice combo George. I switched away from a 45 Colt combo due to wildly varying chamber dimensions and throats in several Marlin and Ruger specimens. Excessive case bulging got tiresome when reloading. The 44s seem to be made with more consistent chambers. Best combo cartridge? I'd pick either 44mag or 45LC in a well made pair of guns with good chambers.
You've got Sharp eyes! And that is an oversized base pin. I have yet to finish fitting the oversize cylinder stop. But I did get the new trigger spring installed for the video. I had to take all of that out before I sent the gun back to Ruger customer service.
@@TargetSuite Ruger's initial quality is not great but they always make it right. Over the recent years I bought a new GP100 and a Precision rifle and both had to go back as neither one shot straight. Similar to your case, I bought a used Bearcat from 1973. It only produced shotgun patterns instead of groups, so I sent it to Ruger. They ended up offering me a brand new gun as replacement and kept/destroyed the old firearm. When they sent the new Bearcat to my dealer, they even included the original nice walnut grips in addition to the laminate ones, the new revolver came with. Their customer service really is exceptional.
Great firearms & in a fun caliber. If only Ruger would send an 1894 Cowboy model in 44magnum 💓. Love the Underwood & Barnes ammo in slow motion. Thanks for your time. 👍 👍 🇺🇸 🙏
Thank you sir! I always look forward to hearing from you in the comments. I'm looking for any new Marlin from Ruger. They seem to have slowed down a little bit on their introduction of new models.
@@TargetSuite Sad part on the new Marlins is the prices. Most 95s are going for about $1700 but one company had a few at $1200. Maybe some companys are a little greedy with an extra $500 profit. That's them not Ruger. Imagine a new Marlin & Vaquero in 41 magnum. With case hardened finish. Oooh. 👀 💓
My couple, pair, dynamic duo, is a 9.5" bbl Super Redhawk and scoped Henry Big Boy w/big loop lever in 44 mag w/a discovered diet of Black Hills 300gr .44 mag as a regular diet!
Thats a beautiful match up! Picked up my Marlin 1894s in 44 mag last week but I'm having problems with the trigger sticking and not wanting to fire about 50% of the time when a round is chambered. When the chamber is empty the hammer falls every time. Other that it's a beautiful gun but a little aggravating seeing as I paid $1,426 for it after tax, shipping, and the transfer fee.
I don't have a Marlin 1894 now for that very reason. The ones I could find online all seemed to have problems. So I'm waiting anxiously for Ruger to come out with the new Marlin 1894.
That's a great idea! Louisiana has an early season Oct 8-14 for honorably discharged veterans. If the weather cools off, I'll take my 44 mag out as well.
Yes sir that is highly polished Ruger stainless steel. And by the way, I will be making a combo video with a 357 Magnum. It should be coming up in a few weeks.
@@TargetSuite I love mine & I need to practice more Carrying & transitions from pistol to rifle & rifle to pistol... there is an awesome product for your stainless that is a must have... from Ebay: Birchwood Casey 31002 Lead Remover and Polishing Cloth... it really slicks up the gun & the rounds in the cylinder slide in & out like butter... it has been my favorite so far.
Awesome Again. I'm lucky to have four "sidekicks" and if I can ever afford a 500 Limbaugh Lever I'll make it five. Also you did a couple of Shotgun videos. Can you compare the Remington remakes with the Black Aces? Thanks
Thia '92 is one cute, handy shooter. I use .44 spec. more than full house .44 mags. Accuracy is great with the Hornady FTX 200 gr. Can't get more American than a lever gun and a single action revolver.
Couldn't agree more about Ruger customer service. My Blackhawk had one screw that I couldn't get to stay in. I had bought it brand new in 1981 and sent it in 2000. I hadn't taken the best care of the finish ( Dumb Kid I was then ) Ruger not only fixed the problem but refinished it to better than new. At no charge.
They are awsome when it comes to customer service! My sister's ex hammered our dad's Super Blackhawk into the concrete floor where they were staying, and it chain-fired. To my understanding, he had to get his hand worked on, and they offered to fix it free of charge. Wether she sent it to them, that is on her. In my opinion, they are THE standard when it comes to firearms.
Originally the gun was shooting way to the left. I sent it back to customer service and they found a problem with it and put on a new barrel. I got it back and it was still shooting to the left just not as bad. So this time through customer service they just tightened the barrel a little bit bringing the front sight over to the left. Now its shooting great!.
Do you think it is possible to change the round barrel on this gun to a longer octagon barrel? Or does the wood/fittings make that too difficult? I want this exact configuration made by miroku (straight stock, 44 mag, no checkering, no takedown, octagon barrel), but it's not possible with miroku's options.
It would certainly require major stock work. Speaking of Rossi, I just bought one in 44 mag that has the 24 inch octagonal barrel. I posted a short with it but will have some long-form content soon.
Hi George, really enjoyed your video today. It seemed like the Barnes expander bullet dumped all of its energy into the tomato can, while the Remington UMC jacketed soft point probably would’ve penetrated deeper into a target. does that sound right to you? By the way, in the last two years I picked up two Henry lever guns in 44 magnum and 357 magnum and two Rossi lever guns. The Rossi lever guns have a better fit and finish than the beloved Henrys. Dave
Thanks for your comment Dave. I think you've got it pegged on those two rounds. In the near future I'm going to do some comprehensive testing with that Barnes bullet and see how it compares to traditional bullet designs.
A few years ago I hand loaded a 180 grain jacket hollowpoint 44 mag to over 2,000 ft./s in my marlin lever gun JM of course. I hunted/shot a smallish deer at about 75 yds. The deer was closer and smaller than I guessed. Impacted at the bottom of the spine broadside. The projectile exploded, deflecting downward with fragments into lungs and vitals. No exit hole. The deer fell over but I must have damaged it’s spinal cord. It just lay there not moving looking at me. I had to dispatch it up close. I waited 5 to 10 minutes before I approached my thought to be kill. I thought that would’ve been plenty of time for it to have bled out. Point being I now use a heavier more substantial projectile when using my 44 magnum in a rifle to hunt deer. I’ve had recent success with 240 grain XTP’s. Dave
A well-placed shot from the 44 Magnum will kill a deer a long way out. But bullet drop and rapidly deteriorating velocity is not your friend with a large caliber blunt nose bullet like the 44 magnum. So I would say anything 75 yds and in is perfect for that cartridge.
Yes sir. Are there more powerful rounds out there? Absolutely. But is the 44 Magnum still a fantastic and capable round? Absolutely! Thanks for watching and thank you for your comment!
What is the biggest game You could, with confidence, bring down within 80 yards with .44M and the same for .357M? (I am not a hunter, and in my country the have strict laws for which caliber You could use for the different game we have, and for deer, we have only red deer, and then at the top, there is the mighty moose, and for that they think .308 win is marginal, and our moose is NOT as big as in USA.
First two gun s were a winchester 94 .44 mag and a Ruger Redhawk .44 mag just so I could share one cartridge and be a cross of dirty Harry and John Wayne. Thousands of rounds and 38 years later both are going strong
I want a lever action so bad only problems are i don’t want a 22lr and finding one chambered in 44 magnum is hard to find. I want to pair it up with my colt anaconda so I can be a real cool guy.
Haha! That tang safety gets a lot of attention. But I've got four Winchester rifles from Miroku and they are all fantastic. So the Tang safeties get lost in the smiles😉
Marble Arms Bullseye. I've got them on several guns and like them. Best bang for the buck when it comes to aftermarket replacement sights for your semi buckhorn. Last I checked they are under $25.
Did I see a thumb safety on your Winchester? What a sad day it is when there has to be an Idiot switch on a lever action rifle. Makes me love my 1963 Sears Roebuck/Marlin Model 45/336 in .35 Remington even more.
Nice video by the way and your Winchester is beautiful except for the Idiot switch. I have a 3 screw 1972 Super BlackHawk,it’s all original non converted, just load 5.
I sure hope I have a three screw Ruger Blackhawk in my future. Nice guns! As to the idiot switch, as I said in a previous comment, Winchester makes the best 1892s out there so I just look the other way when it comes to the safety😉 Thanks for watching!
@@TargetSuite They are Very rifles indeed. Was the 1892 what Chuck Conners had in The Rifleman? I know the rifle was incorrect for the timeline of the show.

Thanks for sharing. I don't fault anyone for getting one of the big Smith & Wesson Magnum lever guns and a revolver to match. But let's face it, the vast majority of us have no real use for a gun like that. That said, I may still have one of both. Because fun is out there to be had.

Let me know how that 45 ACP project works out!
Mine is similar. Vintage Winchester model 94 rifle .44 magnum combo'd with S&W model 629 6" & or choice of 2 S&W model 29 4". Great content 👍
Thank you sir! You definitely have a great combination of guns there! Thanks for watching.
I have a Marlin 1894 in .44 magnum, and a S&W model 629 as it's partner. That Winchester 1892 is good looking!
I've had a few 1894s in my past. I can't wait to get one of the new Marlin made 1894s from Ruger. I just wish they would hurry up😄
Another Great Combo George. Hapy Days Are Here Again
Haha! Thanks for watching!
I like the way those plates hang on the poles.
Yes. They are quick and easy to deploy.
Beautiful set!👍🏽😀❤️🇺🇸
👊👊
Nice job George. The problem with shooting large caliber handguns is you need to shoot A LOT to get used to the kick and you need to shoot often to maintain it. These were an awesome duo, glad Ruger fixed it, maybe mount sites. Nice deer pistol up north. Lehigh Defense rounds really transform a small .380 carry pistol. They make them where I live.
You are right about staying in practice. And I just can't get enough time behind a revolver to become proficient. But I'll keep working on it.
44 is the best especially as a combo. i don't see it as a problem but as the perfect excuse to shoot a lot more, as if we really need one! with handloads the cost is very doable and always fun to try different variations. i got my marlin 94 to go with my ruger srh. both are great shooters
I just bought a Super Blackhawk 5.5 inch blued to match my old Rossi 92 saddle ring carbine in 44 mag. Took a year to find one in my area.
The old 44-40 is it in par with .44spc? Was spellbound in my Youth by all these good old westerns (born 1961).
I have a R92 and Cimarron bad boy 44 mag combo they are a great pair. They get along very well also.
Love the 44's. What kind of rear sight is on the rifle? I have a Marlin 1894 in 44 mag but my 75 year old eyes need help. Can't get excited about putting a scope on it but....... that sight might help.
That is a Marble Arms Bullseye sight. I love them.
My perfect 44mag combo is the Ruger Super Blackhawk and the Henry big boy with octagon barrel. I find the extra weight in the Henry to help with felt recoil much better then the Winchester...
It's definitely a great combo. And you are right about the extra weight of the henry. I'm sure it mitigates quite a bit of recoil.
Wouldn't you prefer a double action piston?
I have a super blackhawk new model 7.5 inch that was born in 1983 one of the best built pistols I've seen
Sounds like a great one. I'm sure you're doing your best to wear it out😉
Nice combo George.
Interesting. I'll be on the lookout for that as the 45 Colt combo video is coming up in a few weeks.
Your Ruger rocks!!!! Keep the revolvers coming:)
👍👍
Beautiful guns, the Keith #5 base pin in the Ruger is also nice.
You've got Sharp eyes! And that is an oversized base pin. I have yet to finish fitting the oversize cylinder stop. But I did get the new trigger spring installed for the video. I had to take all of that out before I sent the gun back to Ruger customer service.
Hi George, I was wondering what ever happened to that Ruger 44 mag. It sure is still a great looking revolver.
It's been on a journey for sure.
@Martin Guenther Thank you for sharing that!. It just confirms what my own experience has been.
Love this combo! Keep up the good videos.
Thank you sir. I will as long as I can!
Oooh. 👀 💓
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. And thank you for watching!
Great Combo! My 44 mag combo is Henry Big Boy 44mag using Federal 280grain A-Frame, Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan .44mag Buffalo Bore 340grain +P+.
Whew! That is some serious power!
@@TargetSuiteThank you for the best Gun information on UA-cam. You are a class act Sir. 🦖🤠
Thanks! I appreciate that!
Impressive.
454 Casull carbine even moreso, hit the fluid jugs like a sledgehammer!!
Yep. A big sledgehammer!
My couple, pair, dynamic duo, is a 9.5" bbl Super Redhawk and scoped Henry Big Boy w/big loop lever in 44 mag w/a discovered diet of Black Hills 300gr .44 mag as a regular diet!
What a great pair! Congrats!
I just checked Houston to the state line, thats a ~3h drive each way when you go to the range!
3:45 . . . and worth every minute of it 😉
I really like my Marlin 1894SS (Pre-Remington model) partnered with either Super Blackhawk 4 5/8 or Super Blackhawk Bisley 3.5" in .44 Mag.
Yep, that's a great pair!
There’s nothing like a 44 mag for blowing stuff up. I’m going to take mine deer hunting in November. Good video.
That's a great idea! Louisiana has an early season Oct 8-14 for honorably discharged veterans. If the weather cools off, I'll take my 44 mag out as well.
Awesome video.. the combo for living outgrid.❤😊
Nice Combo! I have a .357 combo incase the peanut butter hits the fan... is that Ruger Stainless steel?
Yes sir that is highly polished Ruger stainless steel. And by the way, I will be making a combo video with a 357 Magnum. It should be coming up in a few weeks.
@@TargetSuite I love mine & I need to practice more Carrying & transitions from pistol to rifle & rifle to pistol... there is an awesome product for your stainless that is a must have... from Ebay: Birchwood Casey 31002 Lead Remover and Polishing Cloth... it really slicks up the gun & the rounds in the cylinder slide in & out like butter... it has been my favorite so far.
Thanks!
This is one of my favorite UA-camr
Thank you sir!
Yes! God bless America!
Great testimony of their fantastic customer service.
Not smiling, drooling!!!
That's what shirt sleeves are for😆 Thanks for watching as always!
Now that's a nice white tail combo for the woods.
Ayyyymen! I may take that 1892 with me this year for the early season.
@@TargetSuite I'd take the pistol too in case one walks up right under your stand
Very nice. Ole lady said i can't watch any more. Says you're emptying my wallet too much lol
Haha! Come back when your balance is under control 😄
Thanks for sharing. I don't think enough people understand the quality of service they offer.
what was wrong with the 44 barrel?? (btw, thx, you got me realizing the need to combo up.. lol.. just picked up a henry H001 22 to with the 22 blkhwk)
👍😊🎯 nice combo , so is there a holster rig coming for the pistol.
Gosh I hope so😄 I just keep putting it off. But I guess this is kind of the stake in the ground for the Vaquero. It's not going anywhere!
@@TargetSuite I have a good holster for my super Blackhawk a Bianchi it works with my shell belt or just a belt .
Also love the ,45LC Combos!
That one's coming up. Stay tuned!
I've always been a big fan of having 2 guns that use the same caliber. I would like to have a 45 colt lever gun pistol combo.
Dave
Thanks Dave. There's nothing like "real world" testing!
Seems that God likes the 44 magnum as well. He provided a drumroll for the Ruger on one shot. 😉👍🏻
Some of my 45 Colt fans would cry, "Heresy ! ! !" 😄
And Batman had Robin!...Fantastic combo! Thanks
Oh yes! How did I leave them out!
Two great guns right there 👊🇺🇸
Yes. In blessed to have them both. Lots of smiles to be had with a pair like that.
Need to a video on cleaning a Rossi 92.
I did. Here it is ua-cam.com/video/zkjP74rcR50/v-deo.html
As always good stuff .
Thank you!
Agreed. The 44 is perfect for hunting.
I wonder what the maximum effective range for 44 mag for deer would be? Out of a rifle
A well-placed shot from the 44 Magnum will kill a deer a long way out. But bullet drop and rapidly deteriorating velocity is not your friend with a large caliber blunt nose bullet like the 44 magnum. So I would say anything 75 yds and in is perfect for that cartridge.
Awesome guns… thanks buddy…
You are welcome! Thank you for watching!
For a all around caliber ( Hunting, target shooting, every self defense ) it’s hard to beat the good old 44 magnum.
@@dmg4415 black bear. Can easily be taken with the 44 magnum out to and a little past 100 yards.
@DMG 👍👍
Have you ever tried the pmc 240 gr tcsp jsp factory speed1497fps.
The jacket comes over the top and there just a little lead exposed.
I have not. Next time I see a box in the store I'll pick it up. Thanks!
I plan to fire my first .357 mag round tomorrow. ...It should be fun if I can find a box of ammo!
Let me know how it goes!
Great video, but can we stop altogether with the Mountain Dew. Lol.
I try not to offend but in some cases I just have to make an exception😉
I was hoping to see George quickly reload and hit the flying Mountain Dew!
Wonderful!
👍👍
First two gun s were a winchester 94 .44 mag and a Ruger Redhawk .44 mag just so I could share one cartridge and be a cross of dirty Harry and John Wayne. Thousands of rounds and 38 years later both are going strong
That's awesome. What a great couple of guns. Thanks for sharing and thank you for watching!
It would be awesome to take your viewers hunting with you this year.
I thought about that last year. But one of the hardest things to do for UA-cam is self-film a hunt.
Great fun!!
👍👍
i love the versitlie cartridges!!!!!
Amen! And 44 mag is sure one of them.
I want a lever action so bad only problems are i don’t want a 22lr and finding one chambered in 44 magnum is hard to find. I want to pair it up with my colt anaconda so I can be a real cool guy.
You'll definitely be cool pairing up anything with that Colt Anaconda. I just bought a 44 mag Rossi last week. You'll see it on the channel shortly.
@@TargetSuite if u ever get tired of just call me 😎😎😎
Awesome that’s really cool
Thanks!
What revolver do you think is good to team up with Marlin 444?
I don't think a revolver chambered in 444 Marlin would be practical. So I would go with a Ruger Blackhawk 44 Magnum.
Roy had Gabby , Gene had Pat , the Winchester has a tang safety,😜 it still is a beautiful rifle and appears to be well made
Haha! That tang safety gets a lot of attention. But I've got four Winchester rifles from Miroku and they are all fantastic. So the Tang safeties get lost in the smiles😉
@@TargetSuite yeah I’d love to have one in 357 , even Marlins got a safety way back in 1985
Back in the day the lever hun did not have a tang safety on them, in the 1870 and 1880.
Have you shot any 44 specials out of the Winchester 92? My barrel says 44 mag ONLY
Good shooting
Thanks! And thanks for watching!
Badass,ruger
Yep. It is nice!
Details on that rear sight
Yes. That was an 1892, and as you pointed out, not period correct. Great show nonetheless!
I have an early Winchester 1894 in 44 mag. Fun
I think you're onto something with the steel plate laid flat atop the can of tomatoes.
That direct hit on the edge sliding it off in slow motion was beyond the lucky. I couldn't do that again in a hundred tries. Thanks for watching! And thank you for your comment!
It appeared to make that can of tomatoes really sploosh out sideways.
Yep. That was what I was trying to do with the plate.
Sold my 500 S&W lever gun and pistol.. I have a marlin 44 mag and Ruger Super Blackhawk. If that wouldn't kill it I dont want to mess with it..
Thanks for sharing. I don't fault anyone for getting one of the big Smith & Wesson Magnum lever guns and a revolver to match. But let's face it, the vast majority of us have no real use for a gun like that. That said, I may still have one of both. Because fun is out there to be had.
@@TargetSuite My hands are not very good anymore, can't deal with 500. hot 44 mag is plenty for me. I have a 357 lever also. light 38 loads are more quite than .22 and works on rabbit sized game
A lever gun and a SAA, it doesn't get any better than that.
I'm with you. Thanks!
